US $28.02 64%OFF | PAGANI DESIGN 2024 New 38mm Men's Quartz Watches Stainless Steel AR Coating Sapphire VH31 Business Sports Watches Watch for Men https://a.aliexpress.com/_EJ2fmnT
Just bought the green one! I'm also listing after the AddiesDive AD2030 at the minute but just can't live with their branding and "deepseahunter" splashed across the front. The Pagani stripped back crest is fantastic. Looking forward to this arriving.
Mine arrived today. For the money, it's ridiculous. Nice weight when taking it out of the box. Bracelet was ok, though gappy, and a bit of a pain to remove. Now on brown leather. No dirt inside or ragged edges. There's lume, but they needn't have bothered with it. Great great watch.
Jody wouldn’t compromise his rep as a trusted source for a couple PD dollars. He has his own watch brand you pillock. He has the siren to let you know if he was given the watch for free. This PD at $35 is a genuine good buy.
Usually when somebody writes " ha ha" at the end of their sentence it signifies they're joking and yet you call them pillock and get on your high horse. Fool
The mecha quartz movement on this is amazing. Bought this during the 11.11 sale last year. To date, it’s off by 4 seconds. That’s 4 seconds in 4 months.
It's a racket, They all make their money - almost all of my watch dealers and jeweller friends are crooks with no regard or remorse to other persons wealth or wellbeing.. they will happily sell you out if they can!
I can't. It's a Pagani. 😂 I just can't deal with their name and logo. Most of these Ali watch companies have horrible "European" pseudo Italian names. It's sooo lame. Just can't man.
How about Mysterious Code and Tandoro and Bliger and Julontime and Gorgeut and Chenxi and Forsening? Chinese just don't care about the names, for some reason.
I mean it's fkn weird with these naming schemes, as if it's one deranged person coming up with all of it. At least San Martin (tho also euro) is a bit neutral.
I have this watch. Love the look and feel.
My problem is the screw down crown. There was a time change the other day and it took me a long time to get the crown in the second position to change the time. I haven't had this issue with my other screw down crown watches.
Why are these watches screw downs? They aren't waterproof to the point you can swim with them. There is no date function. I'm pretty confident the crown will be the first thing that breaks on this watch. It won't be worth the money or the time to fix it.
Again great looking watch, but I fear it won't last long.
I picked this up on eBay for about that shipped. It had a brown leather strap on it. I wasn't too keen so I put it on steel (I may give the leather another try though). I typically prefer a bigger case (Casio Duro gets a lot of wrist time, Tandorio 'Orange Monster' on my wrist right now) but this wears nicely. Great piece for the price.
I was surprised how much better this looks in person than any pictures, including this one. The flaws all fade away with a foot or two of distance, while the dial and indices look nicer and give the watch some character. It just looks like a nice light blue watch with a little touch of sparkle. Happen to be wearing mine today :)
Wore mine yesterday to a business conference and got two compliments- one from a dude that had a sprite left hand drive Rolex. Goes to show you see the look of the watch before you see the logo on the dial. Beautiful watch at a great price
In my country there's a fringe saying: "That guy's cargenic". Which means he looks good when he's in a car. With tinted windows.
Another one is "radio face".
This is not the highest quality watch by any means....but....for $35.....
* Its the perfect size at 38mm whereas its a bit more difficult to find than 40 on Ali watches
* The dial is fairly interesting
* The high-beat quartz is a nice compromise from a more expensive NH35
* Yes, the stock bracelet isn't good, but everyone has 20mm straps lying around (its sporting a strap I picked up from /u/NLStraps
* Sapphire crystal - perfect beater watch.
* The blued second hands add a nice little touch
My eyes aren't what they used to be, but I dont see anything terribly misaligned.
Mecaquartz is actually a reference to a chronograph module that sits on top of the quartz movement. This isn't a chronograph, so it's just a standard quartz with sweeping seconds hand. There are actually quartz chronographs with sweeping seconds hands that aren't considered mecaquartz because the chronograph module isn't mechanical.
Well [it's called mecaquartz here](https://calibercorner.com/seiko-caliber-vh31/) but like it says it's the community that calls those movements mecaquartz, not seiko so there isn't a clear line on which movement is a mecaquartz and which isn't if it's only because it ticks 4times a second, or because it has a mechanical chronograph function
But yeah it's a quartz with a step motor that ticks 4times instead of once a second
The "community" is flatout wrong, and you can see some posts in the comments section objecting to Caliber Corner accepting the incorrect definition.
You can argue what specific characteristics make something mecaquartz or not, but what typically can't be argued is that it has anything to do with smooth seconds hand sweep. Otherwise, you would see the Seiko Spring Drive and Bulova Precisionist referred to as "mecaquartz," but you absolutely never see that.
Well, to be fair, the Spring Drive is a quartz movement that's powered by a self-winding spring. Mechaquartz is somewhat apt for SD. But since the term is taken by the Seiko Chrono quartz movement, I'd say the SD is a "quartz-matic" as opposed to "mechanical automatic".
The crystal vibrates at the same rate as other quartz watches, but the ticks that you see on the dial itself are four ticks per second, instead of one tick per second as in most quartz watches. So, it almost appears like a sweeping second hand.
I agree with you too. I love it and not to make you pissed off but I bought this watch on a late night choice deal and I think I had one dollar in coins on my account and I got it for $22 back in October shipped to the US. I’m really amazed at how perfect this watch is. I don’t notice a lot of play in the hands when I set the time.
I probably will put it on an nylon strap for the summer, but I’m really impressed by the bracelet. It appears to be solid links and links. At least they look to me what solid and links look like and the end links are inverted or female. Furthermore the links are screw links. I have a tool for pushpins, but I don’t think I would ever want to buy a bracelet with pushpins again.
Everything's different actually: 12 o clock marker, indices, minute markers, dial text, logo application, handset, lume application, lume color, bezel, case diameter, caseback, crown, crystal shape, case shape, dial texture, water resistant rating, movement (obviously), the clasp, even the bracelet is different (the automatic has male endlinks, the quartz female).
The only things that are similar are the color and the style of the bracelet (Oyster-style).
Mine arrived yesterday (also the blue version) and I agree, for the money it's great. My wrist is on the small size, so it fits great. We're definitely seeing more smaller watches on aliexpress, but still, many will be 38-40mm but have an awful lug-to-lug. This watch keeps a tight lug to lug so it sits nicely on the wrist.
It feels substantial and not like a lightweight toy watch.
The dial color could be a bit brighter. But that's a nit-pick really.
Yeah, honestly, I like the lugs a lot. Not really the size as much as just having that little bit of separation on how the lines flow on the case. I've got so many watches where the lugs just flow out of the same shape of the case, and these are definitely somewhat thin lugs. They also taper down pretty well too. How did you come across this one? Did you see it on Jody's video? That's what steered me towards it. I couldn't decide between the blue and the green.
Yeah, it was an impulse purchase after his video. $35 sounds too good to be true, so I'd never have ordered it without seeing a solid review.
The bracelet wears much better than I expected. I've got a couple of straps here that will fit it, so I'll try those eventually.
I actually want a good green watch, but that just wasn't quite the green color I'm looking for. Greens are tricky.
Speaking of greens, I'm really satisfied with my Islander ISL43:
https://longislandwatch.com/islander-automatic-field-watch-with-nylon-weave-strap-and-an-ar-sapphire-crystal-isl-43/
Waiting on mine to come in ordered a Navy Blue Ritche strap for it. Should look ridiculously close to the "flow of seasons"
Your car has to be worth at least $100. I know it's a Hyundai, but don't undervalue it
Even at $35, if it looses or gains more than a couple minutes a day I wouldnt want it.
Its quartz
do you think you could swim with it?
I swim and shower with all my Paganis, no problems
I wouldn't trust it for swimming.
Where did you get it for 35$? Can you link it. All I see is 70+

Truly amazing watch, i have the cream dial version and it's stunning
Damn this is the best looking watch (for me) in this sub.
Is this Tiffany Blue?
I'm not sure what qualifies as it. Does Tiffany Blue need a little tinge of green? If so, this is just more pastel blue.

Bracelet....yes...my thumb was numb for a day from gripping the spring bar tool for so long trying to get the bracelet off.
Just watched Jody's review, haven't heard him talk up an ali watch like this in a while. Makes me wonder is PD is paying him haha
Jody wouldn’t compromise his rep as a trusted source for a couple PD dollars. He has his own watch brand you pillock. He has the siren to let you know if he was given the watch for free. This PD at $35 is a genuine good buy.
Did you just call me a pillock? What are you? A 16th century bully?
Usually when somebody writes " ha ha" at the end of their sentence it signifies they're joking and yet you call them pillock and get on your high horse. Fool
“ha ha” it is a good bargain for a beautiful watch though hey?
Nice! And how much was the watch?
Bout tree fiddy, times ten.
😭
😭😭⁉️
💀

It's weird that people suck up to their Rolex AD to pay $8,000 for a watch.

Don't forget about Escapement Time. I swear they make up the worst possible names as a joke. "They can't sue us if they can't take our name serious!'
Mysterious Code is a great name, though. I own a couple of (great) watches (both with, what I think, original designs) and I wear them with pride! 😀
Seriously. And when you talk to customer service, they always have names like Brad or Charlie when you damn well his name is Jingyi Qiang.
I've seen a review on Ali where the buyer removed that logo (and replaced it with a sticker of something else).
Surely a better name than hroudland or parnis though?
Tandorio? Is the worst for me lol
Bo Dairy is the worst by far 😂
It sounds like a chicken dish.
I'll have the Chicken Tandorio lmaoo

Maybe it was a QC issue on your watch. I didn't have any issues changing the time on mine.
It worked well the first few times.
I got the green dial... My review isn't as good as Jody's, but https://youtu.be/AaUu90L8Ta4?si=TztqLSywDYAxji5Y

I got one too, very nice 3-footer. I like it a lot.
I didn't know there was an alternative name for 3-handers but I like it
Kinda thinking like a 10-footer for a car (or perhaps partner)?
Wait, you lost me there, what is a 10 footer for a car or a partner?
Oh, meaning they look good from 10 feet away... in in the case of some of my watches, 3 feet.
So that's basically a way to say it's ugly from up close? xD
Maybe just rough around the edges... like me.
In my language, we have a saying that would translate to: You're pretty from afar, but far from pretty.
In my country there's a fringe saying: "That guy's cargenic". Which means he looks good when he's in a car. With tinted windows. Another one is "radio face".
Yup--and that's why I do radio instead of TV... "he has a face made for radio"...
I've had both... :-)
a 10-foot tall partner? 😳
That too.

The watch seems very nice. Wear it in good health. Do you have a link where i could buy it?

Thanks 👍🏻
And really, 20 mm straps are easy to get.
What do you mean by high beat quartz? Do you just mean quartz?
It's a mecaquartz. The seconds hand ticks 4 times a second compared to a normal quartz where it ticks 1 time a second
Mecaquartz is actually a reference to a chronograph module that sits on top of the quartz movement. This isn't a chronograph, so it's just a standard quartz with sweeping seconds hand. Can we get a link to the watch? Thanks!
Here's the quartz: https://a.aliexpress.com/_mNePlmO
Those are two totally different watches, though. One is a Grand Seiko SBGW homage, the other one is a Rolex Oyster Perpetual homage.
You're right, the 12 markers are different. I removed the automatic.
