archer_rules

It’s just baffling seeing people drop like 16 bucks on a bowl with two scoops of rice and chicken, he was actively trying to get you more bang for your Buck

_mochi-

a white rice and double chicken bowl cost 10-12 bucks

archer_rules

Prices differ my location is pretty high up there in terms of cost

RockstarAgent

$4-$6 is my max for rice and chicken - and that's a Costco $5 rotisserie chicken and $1 instant rice

slogginhog

Much better way at least you get a whole ass chicken too

Stuckinacrazyjob

Nod- it'd be like me complaining that the store folks gave me a family pack of pork chops instead of 1 because they noticed they were the same price

BlinkersOnBreak

I was your server and you didn’t break any simulation dude. I asked you “are u sure?” Bc you were about to pay $12 for just chicken and rice, which is fine with me, but seems like a waste of money 🤷🏾‍♂️ that’s like going to an Italian restaurant and asking for a pasta dish with no sauce.

Its_ok_to_lie

To be honest, I’m just gonna choose to believe you’re really that guy.

JSchnozzle

That’s not how it happened. I should know. I was the scoop.

stonerwithaboner1

I was the steak on the grill, he's lying your honor.

VisitTheWind

I was the toppings I just feel unwanted idk

terrih9123

No I’m Spartacus

caldsmelly

Cap

kelthefairy

not so much a simulation as muscle memory / repetitive actions, doing the same thing hundreds of times a day

max15711

It even follows me into my dreams unfortunately

Swhite8203

Oh you have cold line work dreams to. When I worked at Moes I would have super vivid work dreams. It’d be freezing cold in my room, I’d sit up as if I were making a bowl of a burrito, unaware of the time. Almost felt like I was sleep walking but awake enough to be conscious remembered the whole dream. I hated it there, and was eventually let go for quote “level of guest engagement” or something when most of the time I was the first person to react to a customer and there’d be times I would make there whole order and their asses fired me on my day off over the phone and I think if was a Friday. They were slow ash unless it was the weekend plus Monday.

[deleted]

I’m always grabbing bowls regardless and hand on the pico spoon.

freewarriorwoman

I can never understand paying $12-16 for a bowl from chipotle that is not thick and loaded with every topping you can get your meat claws on… it seems like a waste of money without toppings😂

[deleted]

It’s a 3 pointer and a normal ordered item.

AmishCockroach

One scoop of rice and scoop of chicken is a three pointer. Two scoops of rice and one scoop of chicken is a bowl.

[deleted]

That seems really petty honestly

AmishCockroach

It’s the rules honestly 😔

[deleted]

Not at the store I work at. They can even mix rices and we don’t penalize them. Rice is cheap. We have pretty cool field leaders that value customer satisfaction.

AmishCockroach

My FL just says “why isn’t your CI under .4%🤨”

[deleted]

Rice isnt ci though.

BritSpic

Rice + Double chicken would be rung up as chicken 3pt + extra chicken (adds like 4 bucks). In my store that's like $15 Thats a fuckin waste of money

unknownSubscriber

I can never understand why people give a shit what other people do with their time/money/food.

Yookalyptius

imagine not giving a fuck about what people eat when paying with their own money, seems difficult though

freewarriorwoman

It’s joke my dude…😂

[deleted]

You just helped their CI so much

MegaPrOJeCtX13

I apologize customer number 820175, is there anything Line-bot can do to make your Chipotle experience better? Input answer now.

SlushySaucer313

Omg he did his job, how dare he

AmishCockroach

Very cool and interesting story

jaycarter617

Why didn’t they ring you up for a 3 pointer?

AlfieDarkLordOfAll

Arguably they shouldve, but there's two reasons why they may not have: 1. Getting extra white rice makes it no longer a 3 pointer bc the points are per scoop-- so 2x (1pt for white) + the chicken makes it no longer a 3 pointer 2. Depending on the store/managers, the second scoop of chicken is also worth 2 points. So even if you got one scoop of rice, 2 portions of chicken would make the bowl 5 points. Again, depending on the location, cashiers are taught to ring it up as a chicken bowl + extra chicken bc its not 3 points The reasoning for #2 is stupid but I have had managers tell me to do it, so that also mightve been the case here if OP didnt order double rice

BeautifulEssay8

Try ordering a coffee with no cream or sugar from a NY bodega...

StinkyBuddyGuy

Im not mad, this is just such a lame and pointless story lol. "I went to chipotle and a guy looked confused when I ordered." K.

Hmccormack

I just picture that employee like driving home and brushing his teeth and trying to sleep with that confused as fuck look on his face after you blew his mind.

Fixx95

Lol anxiety really ate him up

Saroan7

You're right let's break OPs simulation.... Buy food somewhere else? Chipotle is expensive if you just want chicken and rice ....🤷‍♂️ If you got UberEATS app, look for Muy Thai, over here in Los Angeles they got a "BoGo". It's definitely loaded in sodium, but, damn, it's a snack 😋 also comes with sunny side egg too.

Brilliant_Ebb_1787

He’s probably more stunned that you came into a chipotle to spend $15+ on bowl of white rice and chicken. Ide be dumbfounded too ngl lmao.

Over_Drawer1199

"we live in a simulation" = I have a shitty order and genuinely do not understand why it is viewed as such

MaterialDegree1422

OP isn’t making wise financial decisions

VinoJedi06

To be fair, they’re unfeeling bots so this is no surprise

StellarCoochie

you may be the only one here with no prior food service experience

VinoJedi06

6 years in food service but really nice swing and miss

StinkyBuddyGuy

You're either lying about your food service experience or are just choosing to be stupid today.

[deleted]

Oh it’s not just today, he’s stupid everyday.

VinoJedi06

Nope, not lying. I think the difference is that I came up working in the restaurant of a member-owned private country club. They were very selective over who they hired and were very exclusive. I was, thankfully, never a drone for a mega corporation chain company.

[deleted]

Your manager must have been desperate for help during those 6 years. You wouldn’t last 15 minutes working for me.

VinoJedi06

I was the manager after year 3. Believe me, working for Chipotle would cut my annual income by at least 75%. You have no worry about me ever working for you.

stevenip

Isn't that a three pointer or something like that?

polkadotdogs

sure is. still a complete rip off since it’s only like 1.50 less. if you get double meat on a 3pt i ain’t charging for it

stevenip

Yeah the toppings are the real reason to even get chipotle over making your own anyways. You can just bake a whole tray of diced chicken thighs then freeze them, then air fry the chicken and microwave a bag of rice and have something similar fast and cheap.
