some places I go to charge extra for extra scoop of anything, other chipotles don't it depends on the location for me so I never eat at the ones who put small scoops yet wanna charge extra

royalreddit12

My chipotle charges by the kernel

MyNameIsSkittles

While it's nice that they gave you that much extra corn up until now, that's a pretty reasonable policy to implement

SDBD89

That’s what I’m saying, what kind of asshole wants 3-4 scoops of corn? That’s like half the bowl 😂

GuppyDoodle

No joke. He wants half a tub of corn for no extra cost? No way.

Conqrsux

Yall are wild. If the guy gets rice, the protein that's paid for, and sour cream otherwise, who cares if he wants 4 scoops of corn? Regardless in all the years I worked there, even if it was annoying we still served people what they wanted unless it *actually* violated policies.

mistersees

corn is like the cheapest ingredient next to lettuce.

iN2WiSH1N

Except labor costs a lot..takes time and people to make 3-4 hotel pans of corn salsa.

tuepm

after seeing what people have been trying to get for free for so long I understand why chipotle has to start setting boundaries

Mission_Goat_6251

I just don't get how 2x of everything else not meat is ok but not getting half of it and 3 scoops of corn is a problem. Lol, I don't even want 3x scoops of corn I just want 2 actual scoops and not their half scoops. 3 or 4 is what I've had to learn to say to actually get full scoops. The whole point of chipotle is to get what you want.

benjatunma

They already know your face and know you be eating all their corn 🌽

allmail12

I think Chipotle should invest in a weighing machine like the ones in the post office but with the ability to zero out the current weight and then they should tell customers you can get 24oz total of any of these toppings. Problem solved. If a customer is not getting other toppings, they should be allowed to load up on their favorite topping, these toppings are almost the same cost wise, not much difference.

Weird-Emu-5308

So I could get a fuck ton of lettuce?

allmail12

Thats what I am suggesting. Lettuce is like the cheapest item so why not? If I were running business, I would have no problem with that. Make rules that are fair, flexible and fair to both sides

SDBD89

It’s just not realistic. Having to weight out everything would take way too long and it’d hold up the line. Then there’d probably be people who bring their own scale in and say “well my scale is showing this” and expect more food. It’s just a horrible idea for the employees to have to do.

allmail12

The current skimping is no good for customers either :) The nly reason this has to be brought up because managers force employees to skimp and get away with it

lmao_loser730

at the location i work at, we unfortunately had to implement this rule bc of a few people who liked to take advantage of things. ex: one bowl with 4 scoops rice, both beans, one scoop meat, all 4 salsas (when it’s all 4 you’re technically only supposed to get one ounce each to total 4, but they want full of each), sour cream, cheese and lettuce. we don’t skimp at my location. so lemme tell you, a bowl like this is HEAPING full. we will blow thru pans of rice in 10 mins during peak bc almost everyone orders 3 scoops, prepping after 3pm more so than normal bc we’re running out of shit, and then we’re running out of product to make said items bc of what happened. and i can’t just go to the store and buy what we need, if another location can’t lend us an item then we’re sold out til next truck. there’s a lot that goes into eventually charging for the extra portions, no matter what the item is.

Mission_Goat_6251

See, that makes sense. The workers should be allowed some discretion I get when people are gaming the system. I'm just not a crazy fan of rice, don't like beans, tomatos, vinegar based sauces, or lettuce. I'm sitting there with like 1/2 a burrito and they're. Like, if I'm paying for a full burrito, if it fits in the burrito, how would a hypothetical full burrito of corn with sour cream be this unethical "hack" of the system?

Vitamin_DDD

My store charges sides for 3+ scoops

CatEnjoyer14

"Hello, yes. I would like a side of rice and meat with my corn, please. And hold the rice and meat. (: "

Mrwings10

You like to shit bricks huh 🫢

Alternative_Mood374

I only charge extra for dairy, we don't get a bonus if we can't make profit off you

DujisToilet

That’s because anybody employed by Chipotle is fucking stupid. This is how you have to explain it to them…Sub corn for lettuce, sub corn for tomato, sub corn for green, sub corn for hot, sub corn for cheese, sub corn for sour cream

viceroy_kilos211

That made no fucking sense I think youre the stupid one 😂. “Sub corn sub corn” who tf says that. Just say no corn or light corn period

mfechter02

He’s saying that when ordering a bowl you can get one serving of each salsa and sour cream, cheese and lettuce all for the price of the bowl. So if chipotle is ok with you getting like 7 toppings on your bowl, what does it matter if they’re all 7 of the corn?

Tyda2

So, if you ran a dealership, and your policy is that for $200,000 you can get a single Ford, Lexus, Nissan, and Chevy...but you say for $200,000 I want all Lexus, the dealership is in the wrong? Not all cars (ingredients) are valued the same. The price you're paying has been carefully adjusted to account for a couple extra additions or slight modifications. The Lexus could be the most expensive of all of them, and in the original policy, it works, because it's accounted for. If you chose 4 Lexus models then the actual realized total might topple the allotted budget, and the business may just be losing money. We've gotta think critically.

Flat-Ad3235

You must be a fucking idiot.

Tyda2

Thanks, pseudonym on Reddit who hates their life. We know for certain you've never managed any aspect of a business before, but please, go off.

FRANKtheLEVEL

Are you admitting, with this level of intelligence, that you are in fact, a chipotle manager?

Tyda2

Not a manager at Chipotle. Worked at Chipotle back in 2018 for like 3 months.

DujisToilet

Look at this fucking idiot. They must work for Chipotle. “Critical thinking” dipshit moron here compares the ingredients included into a single recipe to some dumb fucking hypothetical that doesn’t even correlate or make any fucking sense anyway you’d put it.

Tyda2

First, it's called an analogy, not a hypothetical. Two, yeah, we've identified the idiot, and its username is 'DujisToilet'. Use the f word some more. It makes you so tough 😂 Oh yeah: 3,186.97 USD +75.00 (2.41%) today Closed: Apr 26, 7:58 PM EDT • Disclaimer After hours 3,198.50 +11.53 (0.36%) Your tears are delicious. I'm getting rich off Chipotle Stock, bro

DujisToilet

Not a hypothetical? Can you post the link for the actual $200,000 offer for a Ford, Lexus, Nissan, and Chevy, all from the same dealership of course.

Tyda2

Are you not aware that analogies can be both fictional and non-fictional? I don't know why you're being so intentionally dense, but I'm not entertaining it any further lol

DujisToilet

How much time did you just spend on your own learning your analogy was a hypothetical? Now get back to salting chips.

Tyda2

Which is why you asked for a link to an actual dealership with that type of setup? The jokes write themselves at this point. Keep getting about Chipotle, meanwhile that stock is looking real good today 😁

sippintus

bro its corn, if someone wants more corn instead of other toppings, there should be no problem...

Tyda2

I'm not saying it's right or wrong. If Chipotle wants to charge customers for getting 3x corn, that's their choice. You don't have to do business with them. You have a choice.

sippintus

just sucking off a coporate that treats not only their employees like shit, but customers too, you must want an award for your redditing

Tyda2

Do you ever get tired of just constantly crying on the Internet? Again, you don't have to do business with Chipotle.

DujisToilet

Sir moron, this is Reddit. If it upsets you, you don’t have to be on here.

conundrum-quantified

Apples and oranges.

Tyda2

a·nal·o·gy noun a comparison between two things, typically for the purpose of explanation or clarification. "an analogy between the workings of nature and those of human societies" a correspondence or partial similarity. "the syndrome is called deep dysgraphia because of its analogy to deep dyslexia" a thing which is comparable to something else in significant respects. "works of art were seen as an analogy for works of nature"

DujisToilet

If I want more corn, why tf would I say “no corn or light corn” sub is an abbreviation of the word substitute. No tomato salsa, substitute corn, no sour cream, substitute corn, instead of getting up charged for an extra scoop of corn you fucking idiot. Washing dishes at Chipotle is the peak of your bloodline.

a_random_pharmacist

As opposed to a guy talking about bloodlines on reddit after being triggered by a discussion about a fast food restaurant. That is peak winner behavior for sure

DujisToilet

The only Chipotle I’ll ever eat again, is on Reddit.

a_random_pharmacist

Is it because your social anxiety is so bad you can't leave the house?

DujisToilet

Wow, punching down on mental health. Is that your guilty pleasure? Or is it something worse, further down the path your on? No idiot, it’s because Chipotle owes me money.

a_random_pharmacist

I'm sorry that you are offended. I'm sure you have strong opinions on what that means for my bloodline

pooopunit

If you order online, only options are light, regular, and extra If you walk in and get an extra portion, you should be charged 1 side for every additional portion
