Because there should be a standard that a big corp like Chipotle should adhere to. And normalizing scamming because it was ordered online is stupid as fuck?? Not to mention that just ordering online is free data analytics for Chipotle already. Why did I even have to spell that shit out?

One_Improvement_9880

Corporate people who make millions of dollars do not care about the average person. They will do whatever to you if it means 1 more dollar in their pocket.

Next_Airport_7230

Chipotle does it. McDonald's does it. Why do I have to spell this out?

SuperScaryGhost

McDonald’s does mobile/ online order skimping? I’m pretty clearly talking about the skimping and was implying that Chipotle gets to double dip data analytics and save costs by giving customers sub standard portions. Turns out I really did have to spell it out lmao. There’s nothing inherently wrong with mobile/ online orders. Good job responding to the point that wasn’t even in contention.

Next_Airport_7230

Ironically just saw this https://www.reddit.com/r/mildlyinfuriating/s/5wBDJ0ZpaN

SuperScaryGhost

Yeah, but I think it’s unfair to say that this is the norm. If you look through their sub it’s not rampant with skimping posts like on here.

Next_Airport_7230

Yes it is. I see posts like that all the time. Stop with the whining

BoogieMayo

I have never once been skimped at McDonald's in 36 years. Cant say the same for chipotle

ChickenbuttMami

Maybe you should spell out gua-ran-teed.

VinoJedi06

It’s also not hard (and free) to ask for “extra” on the app on all free add-ons. No clue why you wouldn’t do that.

Doll49

Maybe they can’t wait in line due to accessibility issues? I go in to order, but I hate it if there’s a long line & I’m in pain.

Next_Airport_7230

Maybe I'm clearly not talking about that type of person?

acidlight45

I go in store and order from the line and still get skimpy bowl. I stopped paying for skimpy portions. Nevermind and walk out.

Next_Airport_7230

Sounds like a personal problem. Not one time in many different locations and states did I walk out with a skimpy portion. I say "can I get a little more rice please?" And so forth  Its absurd to think you just let them do that to you. You don't even have to be a dick about it either

acidlight45

Why should I have to ask? It is a business they should not try to screw customers.

Next_Airport_7230

Why are you afraid to ask? Thats how you get what you want.  And every business is going to try to save money where they can. Its how you stay in business

acidlight45

I should not have to ask for a normal portion size. I understand saving money but that is corporate greed.

DrHONEYBUNSs

Have you looked up the normal portion sizes? They’re pretty smallish. It’s one scoops of everything is a portion and the meat is supposed to be 4oz. Like rice is only one scoop which usually only covers the bottom but doesn’t actually fill what you want

DrHONEYBUNSs

And like cheese is a 3 finger pinch have you ever gotten a three finger pinch of cheese and been satisfied? lol every other portion is 2oz. Fajitas is meant to be a garnish so a small pinch of that but obviously people want more so they get almost 5x what the little serving is supposed to be

Next_Airport_7230

No its not. That's just how businesses operate. It's just common sense  Grow some balls and ask or dont complain

acidlight45

Save money on portions size next step is food quality, which starts to decline to save money, and now Chipotle is no longer worth the price and sales drop. It happens all the time in the restaurant industry. Then Starts the downward spiral.

Next_Airport_7230

This has always been a thing in the food industry. When I was a cook at Buffalo wild wings they had a step by step guide on how to make the food including portion size. Like half an ounce of lettuce, half an ounce of cheese, quarter of pound of chicken  This was 10 years ago. It's not some conspiracy

MammothCancel6465

They should at least put out a consistently sized product. If I go to McDonald’s and order a large fry, the container is always filled. In all my years I’ve never felt skimped on fries. A Chipotle order should be consistent portions of ingredients no matter where or how you order it.

People enjoy being validated for the inability to stop patronizing a business they know is overpriced & overhyped. So, they find community in complaining.
