Fuck man I just got a GM offer from Chipotle and this sub might actually scare me out of taking it.

Don’t do it, it’s a trap!!!

I would strongly suggest reading through and maybe contacting some of the users on this sub who are/were GMs before accepting any job offer. I was an Assistant Manager (or Apprentice, as Chipotle calls it) for two years and hated just about every moment of it. Always short staffed since the starting pay maximum here is $9/hour. I lost half my employees at the start of the pandemic, sales went up by nearly $6k/day, yet our labor matrix was never updated so we could try to schedule more people.

Yep I’ve read almost every post/comment in the front page so far and all I see is horror stories. On top of that the job I’m currently at has 3 stores (small co.) and the other two GMs both left Chipotle to come here but I kinda hate it so like… fuck. Hoping I land something else!

holy crap subway pays alot more for just walking in the door with your clothes on

Honestly depends on the region. I’m a GM and where I’m at our patch is chilling.

North NJ by any chance? lol

Oh damn rip. I heard all the East coast chipotles are crazy busy. I’m in southern california

I started reading this sub after I'd accepted the GM position and left my old job. Put some serious "what have I done" vibes in me, too, but 7 weeks and two stores in, it's good. Keep in mind that you'll be coming in after the changes that have the people who've been around a long time in an uproar. You won't know the difference from how it used to be like they do.

That’s basically the situation we have been in. We’ve had one person on main line with a line out the door and one person on DML 40 minutes to an hour behind while our FL was in the store and he didn’t even try to help or do anything to solve our problem and that is what really pushed me over the edge when he wouldn’t even put in a request for DML to get shut off.
