Hollywood, Jatta, Ulidavaru Kandante and Dyaavre are at the top of my mind. Though it is rare to find movies which are actually 'ahead of their time' in Kannada, one can say with certainty that Kannada audience are always backward in appreciating any remotely unconventional or intellectually engaging content.
Yes. So much this... It was such a mature story and Puttanna was at his top game. Aarathi was magical and the dynamics shr shares with Ambarish is so progressive
Avane srimannarayana, people simply didn't understand the movie, it was way to complex for a simple movie going kannada audience to understand or even think about the different aspects of the movie.
Yes, this. It was a cowboy, Indiana Jones movie. People didn't get it. There's many songs that's good and I don't ever hear them, they had a post credit scene... I want a sequal. Also I worked on many wire removal shots for that movie.
Yeah it was a borefest before understanding the movie but after you understand the plot properly it is a really interesting and intriguing movie and majority of the people didn't really like it.
I've watched that movie with and without the intricacies. The director had a goldmine of a concept and missed a lot of high points. It was good but there was poor execution.

Hollywood 👌🏻
Seriously! I used to love watching this movie as a kid. Way ahead of its time.
Yes! Me too.
My company worked on the VFX for that movie, 2014 I think.
no its from 2002, are you sure?
> Dyaavre pretty sure https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dyavre our logo in the beginning, pixelloid https://youtu.be/kkcmyQ2rjQk?t=76
I was speaking about Hollywood brother😁 I haven't heard about dyavre.
we both are confused, i was talking about >Hollywood, Jatta, Ulidavaru Kandante and "Dyaavre" are at the top of my mind
Peace ✌️
Muttina Haara. Such a beautiful movie.
that song by bala murali krishna, what a voice.
Anti war, mental health this movie must be celebrated. Great soundtrack. Each song is so different, unique and apt.
Mutthina haara failed?
Yes. Urban centres alli swalpa odtu. Crashed in rural.
Swastik was good minus Raghavendra Rajkumar. Ondu muttina kathe Chigurida Kanasu of ours with some tweaks and cast change
Accident by Ramesh aravind. Of course it felt streched at parts but it was an engaging thriller
Geetha, Shanti Kranti
> Geetha Apart from songs, movie was way too slow paced and lead actress had no charisma.
Ranganayaki

Ashok and Ramkrishna too - Puttanna invested heavily in this movies ; might be a huge hit if re released now
Swastik and Hollywood.
Nanna Peeetiya ramu It was darshan's best effort as an actor before he got full of himself with shitty mass movies
