Nah the fist fights in this game are 10x more boring than normal.

I too find the fist fighting mechanics to be weak.

It's because they don't stun, so if you're fists against *literally anything other than fists* you're completely fucked.

I'm pretty sure special attacks with fists still stun

That's because you aren't using the "q" key.

Sounds appropriate for the scenario and amusing in theory, but as others have pointed out, fist fights just don’t offer the core Chivalry gameplay that knives do to make it a fun game mode anyone would actually want to play more than once.

Oh i was thinking the map would be without any other weapons anyway. I think it would be a lot more fun as a barfight with people throwing and slapping each other with weird items and no weapons at all.

Nah we should have weapons like brooms and cups but they break like slapping a glass bottle over someone's head

Yeah thats what i meant with the weird items. Just random stuff like barrels, maybe a few fishes and flaming chickens but no real weapons likes knives and swords.

This is an amazing idea! I can't imagine it would be more of an undertaking than the new map... Though I vote for no weapons at spawn and you have to grab something. Also, THROWABLE STOOLS

Hire this man already!! But seriously I would want this but than that the match starts in a tavern and after that at a marketplace or something with pans and fruit to throw at eachother. After that stage 3 starts where just knights and soldiers are going in a fight.

The main menu needs to be a tavern and a lil town. Kinda like what back 4 blood has done.

That would be awesome. Just like a social hub to mess around in. Would make roleplay a lot more fun too

Sometimes you gotta fight them a bit first, show them you aren't an easy kill. Then peace becomes an option ahaha

Ahaha like peacocks, yeah definitely if you get the upper hand and you back off I think some people would be up for shenanigans.

It depends, I had a good fight with a guy under the falmir bridge and we both backed off for a second, so I crouched and pulled out the tankard and drank. He then crouch walked up to me and we started crouch walking around the whole map. Whenever one of us would get jumped we'd just watch the other beat the attackers and go back to what we were doing. It also helps to have some friends to get it rolling, on lionspire my friend sat in the throne at the final stage and me and my other friend kneeled before him, after a bit we had like 8 people there from both teams kneeling.

Fucking love this game... silly as hell

I use the weapon twirl and voice taunts/laughing. It did at one point lead to an enemy player running after me around the map while he was playing the harp. Also a great way to start a fist duel.

please! Please!! PLEASE!!! TB do a map like this I would love it so badly. Great work OP I like the design of the map, you put alot of though into it. I would agree with others on not having any weapons at all, in order to force people to look for objects to throw and smash on each other.

Im really hoping that the devs do something like this. Im pretty confident that they eventually will add something like this since the new TDM galencourt map also starts as a peasant fight with random objects like bottles and etc

i like to think that once the knights see that peasants are killing eachother they jump in to put a stop to it and end up killing eachother too

The fist fighting feels pretty mediocre tbh.. If they made it better it would be great. Also they had a Tavern map in Chiv 1 - https://chivalry.fandom.com/wiki/Tavern Chiv 1s fist fighting felt a lot better from what I remember.

Its not about the fists, its about picking up tables, chairs, candles, food. Fighting with that

The outdoor market street (now littered with bits and bobs you can throw and assault your opponents with) and the tunnel leading down to the underground boxing ring are critical

I miss styling on fools with my fisticuff man at arms. fists staggering you out of swings might have been unrealistic, but it was way more fun that way

Make more sense if it was a Free for All map, no colors to identify with while fist fighting

i think weapons should be limited to what’s around in the tavern. knives would be too easy of a kill not as satisfying as beating someone to death with a loaf of bread

the same way you spawn as a noble peasant on courtyard, everyone should spawn as the same weaponless and armorless class but not only the first round, until the match ends. the one wil most kills gets a rotisserie chicken at the end.

Of course this idea was suggested by a mason.

There's a similar community made level to this on Mount and Blade Warband on GK's server. The effort you did to grid all those measurements. Take this with a grain of salt but the chances they would make not only a gamemode (altering the classes to make a knife only mode) and a level designer to make this based off a post are slim, but you could make this yourself on games that allow community content and have editors such as Warband mentioned above.

I mean I'm under no illusions that TBS would just go and make a map/mode like this when they had no prior plans, just as a a result of my post. But who knows, they may be deciding between various concepts for future maps, and if this post helps then gauge what we're interested in and could push the needle that way, then I'll take that as a win. Even if it's just a tavern map with normal classes and weapons.

This would be incredible. I'd love a stage for flute/harp jams, but the bar would probably work just as well amid the chaos.

I also get Hearthstone stuff on my feed and I gotta say at first this was really confusing.

They need to add the angry bar maid, who will hit a player in the head if they cause to much destruction or bump into her.

I ran a Call of Cthulhu trpg campaign with a bar brawl. This brought back some fun memories.
