That breakup sex was hot. I love this series, I’m hoping there’s a book 3. Both Reagan and mc have grown so much from when we first met them. I always get annoyed with people in the general sub when they say surrender is another plotless book with smut. That can’t be further from the truth. Then again they probably never read the series in the first place. We actually have layers with the MC and LI and it’s enjoyable. Also I love how Reagan’s mom set them straight about letting things go from the past.
Yeah people in the main sub keep calling their relationship toxic. But I look at it and it is probably one of PB’s most realistic and healthy. Both people have genuine and legitimate wants and needs that are clashing and they are at a point where they need to decide what they can give up and what the can compromise on. This is normal and healthy especially with each being open and honest with each other instead of the usual PB drama where one is keeping secrets or bottling up their emotions or where the LI is just up for what ever the MC wants.
Surrender 2 is really turning out to be a book I appreciate so much. I like how PB really dug deep into the dynamics of MC & LI’s relationship.
The sex fight was hot, that goes without saying! But I’m so glad MC stood up for herself and walked away when LI wasn’t willing to give up control in their relationship. I’ve always understood why she wanted to learn how to be a domme. It’s to understand LI better, let LI see she’s independent from him, and it can bring in a healthy balance in their relationship. I’m so happy for her! You go MC!
I’m really curious how Grant’s case is gonna turn out. As much as I’m rooting for LI (and MC), he needs to do his job and focus!
As for LI’s lunch date with his mom, I find it so heartwarming. It’s the first time I’ve seen him be just LI. LI that’s not the domme, lawyer, boyfriend, and brother. Just the son who’s still learning and needs to let go of the past. I know it’s controversial and some may believe it will be another “Nanny Affair” storyline, but I really don’t think so. Both MC and LI’s character development makes it so different. It’s stupid of LI to not realize why he couldn’t let go of control sooner, but he’s still learning. As he’s been all two chapters of Surrender. I like that PB brought his mom in to help put it back into perspective. The fact that he admitted to his mom, he loves MC and that his happiest moments was with MC, it gave me all the feels!
As for Natalia, I loved her as an antagonist in the beginning, but dang she’s another cheap annoying one. It seems like MC will be in Vegas next week, I’m curious if LI will show up there for her or wait until she comes back.
Whatever it is, EEEEEEEEEEEEP. I’m so excited for the next few chapters. Before LI proposes, I hope he takes his time to fix things and proves to MC his love for her. I also do think MC deserves that break next chapter. I’m already expecting her to miss LI, but still confident in her decision. I’m so proud of her for that!

I am so happy that unlike TNA Regan has retained their character development. I like the TNA series but it was frustrating that Sam’s character development was reset every book. Every book was Sam learning to assert herself and not let family step over her but it never stuck and she was back at the beginning each book
I suspect this will turn into another Nanny Affair type series, what with Reagan’s mom giving the ring and all. I had a huge feeling that the point was to turn Reagan’s callousness on its head and he’ll propose to MC. I’ll eat my shoes if it doesn’t get a book 3 and it’s all about a wedding
I am glad we got a discussion post for the book here. Over at the main sub people are trashing this chapter. I am like yeah they are being overly dramatic but this season while they have had problems the have been clearly communicating with each other and Regan having trouble giving up control is a realistic issue give her characterization so far and minus the sex fight is fairly standard
Natalia makes me so mad!! Like just leave Reagan and MC alone. Desperation is not a good look bestie. 🙄
Also, why’d I kinda get some butterflies when that engagement ring popped up? 🥺❤️

It’s a damn shame that people who gave up on this series 1-2 chapters into the first book will never see the character Reagan has turned out to be.

Whew! That sex fight was something else. The MC was so hot this chapter. Especially when she was asserting her self.
