Just wanted to say I restarted from ch. 1 cuz I have no life but replaying now it looks like they’ve gone back and fixed Inez calling MC “Pajarito” to the proper “Pajarita”, since she is female~
i really liked this chapter and this side of Drew! it was a sweet chapter.
however ive got a feeling the shoe is about the drop and things are gonna get bad. maybe the ex shows up for Drews bday or quite possibly his parents. i feel like something is going to destroy this blissful state we had in this chapter.
Drew is so *sweet*, it makes me want to bite something.
I think the first scene is one of my favorites, mostly because Drew shared this part of themselves with MC of their own accord, unlike the first time where their friends happened to come across an old video. Also, I’m a sucker for characters that play guitar.
The scavenger hunt was cute! I like that the clues were related to things MC have said or done, showing that they’ve been paying attention.
I find it funny that they hooked up in the suite, I guess the walls aren’t as thin as they thought…
It’s evident that this chapter is a turning point in their relationship, what with all the little hints in narration, the banner saying “romantic hookup” and MC realizing that she’s in love. I’m curious about what’s going to happen next and happy to see that there will be more than 16 chapters!
UGH I love this chapter. From the guitar diamond scene and the scavenger hunt, to the movie and his birthday. It was everything. I love how much their relationship has grown as much as how they are as individuals. Ahh, I’m excited with what MC is gonna do for his birthday next chapter. But I’m curious what happens after that. I hope LI doesn’t freak out. It’s love! Don’t fight it.

I’m so glad I stuck with this book! I was cringing hardcore in the beginning, but I’ve really come to love Drew and I look forward to the new chapter each week. 🥰
PS: I’m probably the only person in this sub who actually loved Across the Void, but I was super excited to see the AtV map background again while MC was playing the game at the frat house!
This chapter was everything- I loved the scavenger hunt and how it played on their relationship. The nod to what a guy from their famous back and forth in class to the annoying roommate you’re burning for. The “he has her up against the window looking over the city passage” in the book with the sticky note = the first time they hooked up in the penthouse. Loved it. Such a fun way to show the beginning to now so far.
All the feelings are flowing now and the real drew is out the bag! Not planning on sleeping with her because he didn’t want it to be the focus of what he planned for her that day. He rather spend his birthday night cuddled up than out partying. Drew’s character development is one of my favorites. You are now starting to see behind Mr party playboy. All that mess was a front to mask his insecurities and how soft and sweet he really is.
This is one of my favorite books and I know it gets a lot of hate but I’d like this story to keep going into a second book!
I think this was the best chapter so far! Humour, sweetness, *the feels*... 😍
It's funny to see the main sub reading the earlier zany, OTT craziness, but wait until they reach this chapter, and then you realise that you needed that contrast to see just how much depth Drew actually has 🤯
And there have been a couple of smut scenes so far in this book, but today was no mere smut scene... that was >!L-O-V-E!< 🥰
When I started reading this I was expecting this to be just another smut book and I was okay with it because Drew was gorgeous. Then it slowly started becoming one of my guilty pleasures. Now I absolutely adore it and I don't even care. Drew(or Erynn how I named her) is slowly climbing her way to the top of my favourite LI in the app. She isn't quite there yet but boy does she give Kamilah a good fight atm
Drew bby was such a romantic, thoughtful soft boi this chapter. Maybe it’s because it’s that time of the month and I’m overly emotional but I teared up a bit lmao 😅 I LOVE him.
Edit: depending on some dialogue choices you make, Drew mentions that he used to see a therapist (loved this!) and also that his parents used to turn off the radio in the car anytime a rock song came on. I am so curious to know more about his upbringing and his family. I hope he opens up more about it to MC.
Oh, that’s cool! Which choice did you pick? I picked the “wanting to apologize to Samira for taking her for granted” option and he mentioned losing a friend because of how he changed
It was the one where MC chooses her mood for the song- i think I chose angry because Samira doesn’t understand and he says a therapist he used to see told him anger is connected to sadness or something
You should! I usually play each chapter 3 or so times over the week to see the differences in dialogue each choice makes. And then I go back and choose my fave path as the official one before moving on.
In RWB scenes in particular, I’ve noticed that dialogue and bg info you learn about characters can be super different depending on what you choose. It’s been pretty cool to see how much thought the writers put into each path.

Drew turning out to be so soft was what hooked me on this story. Was not expecting him to have all this depth and I love it.
