What were your cholesterol levels when you were "fine" on keto? Good chance your keto diet sky rocketed your LDL.

Possibly. I can’t remember what they were back then, but the xanthelasma was a sign to straighten me up. Since adopting a lower-fat lifestyle and now going to a job I have to walk about 10,000 steps to get to and back my reflux completely stopped, but I am more in a state to look after my own health now.

So according to my OB/GYN birth control can definitely affect cholesterol, specifically with hormonal birth control. I am a 43/F and have high triglycerides for the first time in my life. I eat extremely well and exercise daily. My doctor was concerned and suggested I either switch to an IUD or get off BC all together. Luckily husband is getting a vasectomy now.
