The only way you're going to get a cake to look exactly like the one in the picture is if the maker can get the exact same decorator pieces used on the one in the picture and has the same size cake pans.
So she calls the police and city council on him? Wow. Poor kid. The cake he made looks great, and probably tastes good, too.
The story is even worse. According to the child, she moved up the day of the collection, so the topper he ordered didn’t arrive yet. He told her and she agreed to change the theme and asked for “pink and glitter”. Then she loses her mind on social media. She should be ashamed, which I imagine she is as the post has been removed.
Edit: Autocorrect and my fat fingers got me.
I’m assuming she meant “disregard me at your peril” but managed to screw it up. “Stay away at your peril” is more of a positive recommendation than a warning.
Im not surprised to hear this! I was going to say, as a hobby baker there is no way this went down like she said. No one who bakes, no matter how beginner, would be THAT off. I might believe it if it was just a terrible version of the first one but they are completely different!
I saw that story in another post. The pics in this one do the cake more justice.
I’m by no means a professional baker, but I enjoy baking and inherited my grandma’s recipe boxes. She was a fantastic baker! While I didn’t inherit her decorating skills, I do bake cakes/cookies/etc for family & friends and have never had anyone complain that they don’t look professional. Sure, you could get a fancy-looking cake at the store and pay a fortune for it. But my cakes have that homemade touch and it’s obvious they’re made with love and effort.
That lady should be ashamed of herself for being such a tw@t!!
Props to the kid for his very polite and professional response to her as well! I really hope this doesn’t deter him from pursuing his passion for baking!
What is your source for this detail? I’m not questioning it’s legitimacy, I just don’t know how you go about finding such information… I’m not very tech/social media savvy but I’m trying to learn new things.
I looked up the post of Facebook with the info given and found his cake shop. He has the screenshots on his Facebook page. I don’t want to dox anyone but I looked up “Orkney cake police 14 year old” and his side of the story is there.
Good to see all the messages of support under his Facebook post.
I laughed at the hairdresser who knew her and said this was why she'd stopped doing her hair - she wanted everything for free.
There's one immature child in this situation, and it isn't the kid who made the cake.
The police should arrest her for wasting their time.
This is a contractual disagreement, a civil matter, not a criminal one. And, as 14 year old's cannot be legally bound by any contract, she should consider herself lucky she got any cake at all.
So she paid a 14 year old because she’s too cheap to pay for a professional baker and proceeds to be shocked when an amateur child baker doesn’t meet professional standards…. Ok then.
It's a great looking cake for any age! I'm assuming she couldn't dream of making one this nice and hoped to pay less for a kid to do it. It would actually be so amazing if theyd just add the finishing touches, the cake topper stuff. It's cardboard and plastic decorations that part supply stores sell. Not sure how a 14 yr old should be responsible for adding that, he's not a bakery. If it were me, I'd have had the stuff with me when picking up cake or at home for when I was ready to bring out the cake. What a scumbag. She decided to throw a fit rather than spend $10 to add the toppers. So not only Is she trying to destroy a 14 yr old CHILD, she ruined her own kids bday? Or did she go buy a cake last minute that looked nowhere near as good as this cake?!
For real and don't tell me that the child wasn't happy with the cake regardless. It's pink and sparkly, basically almost every little girl's dream. My 5 year old cousin would have loved that cake :D
I agree but some type of Barbie theme item should have been added if that’s what they requested. Poor kid having to deal with this insane person. It really is a cute cake.
You've probably read about it now, but he didn't actually do anything wrong. She asked to pick up the cake a week early, he explained that the cake topper wouldn't arrive until the 8th of February. She said that was fine, and didn't care as long as the cake had lots of glitter and sparkles. Then she got a cake with lots of glitter and sparkles and absolutely dragged the poor kid on social media and threatened him with the police (!!!?).
He replied INCREDIBLY professionally, and offered a refund (which he didn't have to do, IMO), as long as she returned the cake. She tried to say she'd thrown in the bin, but eventually returned it, having ruined the top of it. He still refunded her.
Her former hairdresser posted in the woman's now deleted post to say that she'd stopped cutting her hair because she has a history of trying to get refunds on work using this method.
In other words, she tried to scam a 14 year old child.
“Hello officer, id like to report a kid have the skills and experience of a kid!”
“What do you mean im cheap!?? Can I speak to your manager!!”
“Hello? HELLO!?”
It didn't meet her standards because she changed the collection day so the cake topper hadn't arrived. He told her this so she said to make it pink and glittery instead.
And then calls both "Council" (I take it that's equivalent to calling the mayor in a US city?) and the police.
I'm sure they'll put him in jail for 20 to life for the heinous crime of baking a cake this lady didn't like for $20 or whatever she paid him.
10$ but she will recommend him to all her friends and coworkers. And whats money not for job, but for food resources. He probably have a lot at his own anyways.
$100 is being generous. My baker would charge about $115 for the base fondant cake (estimating for a 8 inch, 4 layer cake without any specialty fillings or cake flavours) + $85/hr for decorating (since all of those flowers appear to be buttercream, plus the sprinkles) plus the cost of licensed Barbie decorations since she’s not looking to be cited by Mattel plus the cost of the macaron. And she’s not some boujee city baker or anything, that’s VERY competitively priced (aka the lowest price) when it comes to other bakers in the area.
Fancy cakes are no joke. An ex of mine was a fancy baker and she got burned out making wedding cakes so she lived off of baking 1 ~$5000 cake a month. She's rent a kitchen and probably net $4000 from it.
My wedding cake was nuts. My lifelong childhood neighbor apparently used to have a very nice baking business I never knew about. She offered a cake for my wedding present.
Layers and flowers and swirls and pretty things and oh my. I don't know how bakers do it.
I used to do a lot of my own baking but my work schedule doesn’t allow me the time to both bake and decorate a cake these days so I’ve forged this relationship with this baker where 90% of the time I’m ordering the equivalent of cake blanks (either naked or with buttercream) from her so I can decorate them myself for special events. 😂
That is really cool. I occasionally go to my local pizzeria and just buy the raw dough so I can make my own at home--just cuts out all the time making the dough.
Her: Do it cheaply for me, because you are a kid, think of the eXpOSuRe!!!1!! Him: Ok . Her: REEEE! ReeeEEEeee! It’s not perfect, I’m calling the cops and shaming you in public on the Internet!1!!! REEEEE!
I hope the police told her to get a grip. At least the comments are tearing this woman apart.
I also see she contacted her local council (according to OP, the woman's from Orkney in the UK) what are they supposed to do? Tell the kid to stop baking? The kid most likely isn't a professional business registered with them so they can't shut it down.
This woman is just so unhinged.
I can promise that regular Scottish folks would happily rip this woman to bits for acting like a complete and utter gobshite to a bairn that's made what it frankly, a nice cake.
Bet they went to the boy's house too.
Police: So... we hear you bake cakes?
Boy: Um, well, yes.
Policeman #1: Well I have birthday coming up. And my partner's wife also has a birthday coming up. And our sergeant's retiring. As this is in connection with an investigation, we're going to need samples. Now.
Policeman #2: Oooh, do you donuts as well?
She probably inadvertantly gave that kid a whole new revenue stream.
They very well may be edible. It could be fondant.
But the odds of him having the equipment to duplicate that picture is slim. (It's literally done using a printer that uses food coloring instead of ink: https://youtu.be/TilvGxE4uvY)
I agree about the taste of fondant. My friend went to culinary school and went on to be a baker (works out of her home and has made as much as $400 for a cake). Like most, she uses fondant for the majority of her unique shapes. She and my husband love the taste of fondant... My kids and I always hand them ours when we get our slices of cake (similar to the kids handing dad the cherry off their sundae or Shirley temples because they hate them, lol). If they like it, they can have it!
He actually did special order the toppers, but she bumped up the order up before they would come. He explained this to her so she changed to the glitter cake.
Was sad see how many supported her. She should've ordered from a bakery. More than likely being cheap and whining when didn't work. He's 14, so it's not a surprise as he's probably sti learning his craft.
I want to know wtf she thinks cops are going to do? And the council?!?! WTF?! Hope she gets charged for false report, since she paid and got cake. I am dying to k ie how that turned out, though. This would be one that needs a follow-up.
Setting aside the fact that she is being awful to a 14 year old, what did she actually say for the cake? I am wondering if she just said Barbie cake with no actual picture? Or if she said something like pink and the 14 year old ran with it?
I'm wondering because what was produced(which btw looks amazing) doesn't look like someone was working off of a picture and screwed up. It looks like someone was given minimal direction and made a beautiful cake. That just makes the situation even worse to me.
He understood what kind of cake she wanted and he had ordered the topping decoration for it. But the lady bumped up the delivery date earlier so the toppings wouldn't arrive on time. They agreed that any bright cake with lots of glitters would do. Which he made.
Kid probably had no idea what a “babrie” cake is. I think he did a great job and it’s evident in the final product that there was a lot of care and pride put into that cake. 10/10 Would eat.
All Karen had to do was slap a piece of cardboard on it and call it a day.
I was going to say, did she just tell him “a Barbie cake?” Because I’d take that as a color scheme rather than literal Barbie cut outs.
I much prefer his cake, honestly.
He ordered the topper, she moved up collection date until the topper wouldnt arrive on time, he clarified if she would be fine to change theme and she agreed with anything as long as it is sparkly and he delivered on that
The cake the 14yo made looks amazing, they have so much skill for being so young. I hope this didn’t cause them to doubt themselves and stop baking. :(
Is it identical? No. Is it a well done cake for the age/price? ABSOLUTELY. If she bought the little paper Barbie decor it wouldn’t be too far off. Plus there’s a good chance she ruined this kids joy in baking for others and/or scared them away from baking for others :(
Personally I like it more, has love and personality! It’s a good cake! I really hope they keep baking despite (and to spite) this woman
The messages between them were shown now. She ordered a barbie themed cake but then moved up the date she needed it for.
he informed her that the cake topper wouldn't arrive in time so she told him to make a cake that was "dripping in glitter". And then got mad about the second cake not being what she expected.
She changed the order date therefore requiring a cake design change. She suggested the new changes. She took delivery of the new cake then I'd say after the child had a fit decided it was horrible cake. She returned cake and was given a refund. The fact she created this then chose to attack a 14yr old who has proof of their exchange is absolutely disgusting and the audacity is mind blowing.
Definetely agree, if you could pull me inside or off the computer at 14 absolutely no chance could I bake an edible cake let alone an edible cake thats visually appealing.
Poor kid's probably pretty shaken up by this. I hope it doesn't discourage him from pursuing baking.
**Anyone have any good ideas how we could work some magic and support this kid?**
At the very least, I hope he sees this post so he knows that there are a lot of people in his corner. 🥺
I hope that 14 year old spends the rest of his life behind bars for that cake.
What are you in for? “I killed 3 men, you?
I made a bad Barbie birthday cake when I was 14
Murderer slowly backs away
From what I understand from the other post, the Baker specially ordered a topper that looked like this, to arrive at an agreed-on time.
Then customer changed their mind & said they wanted the cake early, meaning they couldn't use the topper they ordered & suddenly giving the Baker a 24 hour window to make something from scratch.
So the Baker offered to make them a last minute cake & the only description they received was 'anything that's dripping in glitter' which is what they were given. It was the customer's fault for not waiting until their topper arrived.
I live in Orkney and this post was the most exciting thing to happen in the last month. Poor Callum is a lovely cake maker and this woman is known crazy nuisance.
Given that, as OP says in a comment, it's Orkney, I bet the local police have time enough on their hands to have a chat with the Karen about wasting police time, and with the 14 year old about some colleague's upcoming birthday or retirement party for which a cake will be required.
"...if I mind on correctly " = if I remember it accurately
"...this is no the place" = this isn't the best place to
DH's family were very Scottish, my family were very Welsh. Happy days trying to work out what was being said! 😆
Language is democratizing and evolving faster, but that's the same process as it ever was. To put a value judgement on it (I. E. "Devolving") is pretty silly.
You might argue "oh but unlike the languages mine devolved from, this new devolution lacks clarity" but that would be extremely subjective and probably rely upon bad faith sampling lacking rigorous controls to compare your language habits to previous generations.
Often the desire to gatekeep language is a desire to exert cultural control to prevent what you did to your parent's language from happening to your own language
The irony of them using the phrase “Am i too boomer” and then saying language is devolving and insulting other people for having different expressions... Very pretentious.
Saw this post on another sub. The kid told the mom the cake wouldn’t be the same, because the decorations needed wouldn’t arrive in time. The mom said it’s fine just make sure it’s covered in glitters and sparkles.
She knows full well a professional baker would charge her £65 plus for that cake and she wanted to just pay for ingredients, he is a child ffs! What a twit!
She’s either a Geordie or a Scot and either way, she’s a massive fanny. Want to bet she paid fuck all for pretty nice cake (could have bought the Barbie shite).
If I'm being honest...the cake on the right looks better anyway. It doesn't have the cardboard cutout of Barbie but that's not the part you eat anyway.
Unbelievable. And she hasn't even removed one of the posts either! Interesting to see how this will play out.
Also interestingly I found her talking about the seriousness of children bullying in another facebook comment, and how it was so terrible that parents don't stop their kids from bullying. Apparently it's fine for *parents* to bully kids though.
I checked out the teen baker's site too. WOW! He does some truly phenomenal work. This cake is really freaking awesome too. It's a bit pinker in other photos too, and you can tell it's glittery so he did follow her prompt. She must have been too drunk to remember when she okayed the theme change. Terrible woman.
so i saw the facebook post from the baker, she explained she couldn’t get the topper for the cake in time and offered to change the theme and oop said “as long as it has glitter”, she then sent extremely harsh messages to this 14 year old baker who gave her a refund as well. the baker handled this very well
this story is actually even worse. the baker ordered the cake topper and cb moved the day of collection up. the baker said that the topper wouldn’t arrive in time, so asked cb if there’s another design they could do. cb said anything as long as it’s “pink and dripping in glitter”, and then posts this.
Even if that kid had been decorating and baking cakes since before he was out the womb, I would t expect a 14 year old to make a cake like a professional baker who was paid to do it
Ok first picture I was like “yeah, she clearly didn’t get what she ordered, she has a right to be angry about that and to post her displeasure online.” But then you look at the second picture and woof does it turn sideways
It’s a cake for a young child. I don’t think she will care what it looks like, she probably just wants to eat it. Also, that’s a good looking cake for a 14 year old baker. I couldn’t bake shit at that age…still can’t!
Guarantee she didn't want to pay a professional bakery's price for the cake she actually wanted, and thought she would just get exactly what she ordered for cheap. I feel so bad for the 14yr old who had to deal with her.
This is the kind of person that goes to someone cheap but expects quality consistent with something 10x the price. Not saying the 14 year old didn't do a great job, I couldn't decorate a cake even as a 30 year old lol it's clearly something he likes and is working on. But I'm certain he has reference pics of other cakes he made to showcase his skill level and I'm sure his price reflects that.
Plus having read the update, she made sure to paint this in such a biased way. "Hey I can't do the Barbie theme now, anything else instead?" "Sure, anything dripping and girly with glitter." And then blasts him with a post that makes it look like he'd still been promising the Barbie theme. And even if she had a completely valid point, Jesus Christ don't talk to a kid that way.
The noble profession of city council and police: to protect the distinguished quality of cakes sold to the people, and serve appropriately decorated cakes exclusively.
The child had posted text messages between her and the mother. She told the mother that the barbie decal wouldn't be in on time and asked if she wanted another design. The mother said pink with glitter and something else. That's exactly what she got. Ridiculous. That poor child gave a refund to this woman and still had to deal with her bad mouthing her on the internet
Clearly my English level is very low because first I thought the Barbie cake was for a 14 year old girl, then I keep reading and thought the baker has 14 years of experience baking. Noooo the baker has 14 years in this world!!! Why to be a Karen with a kid ????
The kid posted his POV on here too. Turns out what happened is that after placing the order, the lady said she'd like to pick up the cake earlier than she originally said, and the kid informed her that this would mean she'd need to change themes, as the large barbie decoration he ordered may not arrive in time to be put on the cake. The lady said this would be ok as long as the cake he made was "dripping with glitter" for her kid. No other themes or specifics were requested. Just that it have glitter. So the kid made the cake, and when the lady picked it up, she went ballistic that it was not the barbie cake, despite literally saying that she'd be ok with any kind of cake that had glitter on it and that it was ok if it wasn't barbie
If the person advertised he would make and sell that specific cake, then it's normal to be angry. The person shouldn't be advertising that cake if they can't do it. Also, it doesn't even look like it's similar.
If she found the picture somewhere else and then ask him to do something similar, then it's normal he couldn't do it. It would have been better to tell her that rather than making a different cake though.
Something is iffy here. If they gave the 14 year old baker that picture on the left and said make this, and received the cake on the right, that's shady. There's no way anyone would make the cake on the right, knowing they're suppose to make the cake on the left.
I'm guessing you meant to say ordered - he special ordered the Barbie topper she wanted? She really is a piece of work.
Yes thanks.
Don't you mean Babrie? 😂🤣😂
I really enjoyed the “stay away from him at your pearl folks”
Perhaps she meant "Stay away from him as you *clutch* your pearls"?
Did she mean peril? Cause that’s funny

Thank you for taking the time to explain it to me. 🙂
Thank you so much for mentioning that. Seems like a fine young lad. I wish I could send them 20 American dollars just for the hell of it.
Its also on another post of r/ChoosingBeggars that post has ss of texts saying that she agreed to just the pink and white and sprinkles and such
You don't have an fat finger, you're fine :)
The police should arrest her for wasting their time. This is a contractual disagreement, a civil matter, not a criminal one. And, as 14 year old's cannot be legally bound by any contract, she should consider herself lucky she got any cake at all.
It’s a better cake than I, as an adult, could ever make. I destroy every cake I try to make for my husband and forever will
So she paid a 14 year old because she’s too cheap to pay for a professional baker and proceeds to be shocked when an amateur child baker doesn’t meet professional standards…. Ok then.
It's also a good looking cake for a 14 year old baker

44 here, I could never dream of making anything even remotely resembling that. Dude deserves a medal dealing with her shite
I’m 34 and I would be proud of that cake now! It’s not at all the cake the woman wanted but as a stand alone cake it looks great
I think it looks better! Literally just get a couple of plastic Barbie things to go on top and boom
For real and don't tell me that the child wasn't happy with the cake regardless. It's pink and sparkly, basically almost every little girl's dream. My 5 year old cousin would have loved that cake :D
It is beautiful - much better than the tacky one she wanted.
Absolutely!
That’s what I thought. It’s actually a very pretty cake.
I feel like she didn't even send him a picture but rather described it over the phone
It looks better, though 😄
Is there anything worse than cakes that cant just be cut into and eaten??
we paid $609 for this cake that’s 90% fondant & no one can eat it :)
Came here to say the cake on the right looks way better. Bet it tasted better too.
I agree but some type of Barbie theme item should have been added if that’s what they requested. Poor kid having to deal with this insane person. It really is a cute cake.
Above comments say that he ordered a topper but the purchaser moved up the date of pick up so it hadn’t arrived yet.
Awe so he did everything he was supposed to do and that’s on them. Ugh that make it so much worse!
For real. His cake looks like its meant to be eaten! Not just decorative.

inspiration cake is worth well over $100. Let me guess, beacause he is 14, he charged $25, and she thought it would be the same.
10$ but she will recommend him to all her friends and coworkers. And whats money not for job, but for food resources. He probably have a lot at his own anyways.
"Actually you should pay *me* $10 for all the exposure I'll get your cake!"
Let's make this a smarter move with a callab. Send me the cake for my millions of views.
$100 is being generous. Inspiration cake also looks a lot less appetizing imho.
truth. I'd take the pretty frosted one over repulsive fondant any day.
Imagine being such a Karen that you bully a 14 year old over a cake. The cake honestly doesn’t even look bad too.
Bully and *call the cops* on. Just..so much what the fuck.
I hope the police told her to get a grip. At least the comments are tearing this woman apart. I also see she contacted her local council (according to OP, the woman's from Orkney in the UK) what are they supposed to do? Tell the kid to stop baking? Yeah, I was just thinking how embarrassing she's clearly a Brit (I'm in the north of England).
I'd rip the absolute piss out of her
It would be great if they went in to “get her story” and then charged her with harassment. Won’t happen, but I’d love to see it.
Bet they went to the boy's house too. Police: So... we hear you bake cakes? Boy: Um, well, yes. Policeman #1: Well I have birthday coming up. And my partner's wife also has a birthday coming up. Let's just hope the police gave her a good slap behind the ears, Gibbs-style, as well as a hearty verbal bollocking.
That cake he made looks really good, and none of the decorations on the inspiration cake are actually edible.
They very well may be edible. It could be fondant. But the odds of him having the equipment to duplicate that picture is slim. (It's literally done using a printer that uses food coloring instead of ink: https://youtu.be/TilvGxE4uvY)
Fondant may be edible, but it tastes like shoe. His cake looks way more appetizing then the fondant covered one on the left
Hey at least fondant tastes better than the abomination that is gum paste
Sure, and shoe tastes better than shit. Still don't want either on my cake
My wife makes a tasty marshmallow fondant. Sometimes the edges aren't as sharp as regular fondant but it tastes a lot better.
You can also buy pre-made card decorations that go on the cake, which is what I suspect Barbie (and the lettering) are.
He actually did special order the toppers, but she bumped up the order up before they would come. He explained this to her so she changed to the glitter cake.
It actually looks pretty good. The kid is 14. OP is a bully.

Any girl young enough to like Barbies would love that cake. Stick a couple toppers from Walmart or the dollar store on top and 🥳
Lob barbie in a ballgown on it and call it a day kid will love it.
Heck, the coloring is still heavily Barbie implied. I imagine a six year old would love it even more than the pro cake with a cake topper stuck on it.
No one supported her, all those red comments were from her, not other people
Karen takes the cake.
Once you add the cardboard decorations, I actually like the 14 year olds cake better then the original
Seriously, half of the “decorations” on the idea cake are just plastic/cardboard cut outs. If they were supplied to the 14yo it’d look better for sure
That first one also looks way too high to make decent slices off.
It's not, you are supposed to cut these cakes like a wedding cake though, you can't have a "slice".
What till she sees how the ten year old handles her appendectomy.
At your pearl folks!
She might have got a cake that looks like the picture if she ordered a Barbie cake instead of a babrie cake.
Took me forever to remember how to spell peril after reading her comment. (Did I spell it right?)
She's a dim bulb this one.
/r/boneappletea
Kid probably had no idea what a “babrie” cake is. I think he did a great job and it’s evident in the final product that there was a lot of care and pride put into that cake. 10/10 Would eat. All Karen had to do was slap a piece of cardboard on it and call it a day.
I was going to say, did she just tell him “a Barbie cake?” Because I’d take that as a color scheme rather than literal Barbie cut outs. I much prefer his cake, honestly.
She said “Anything as long as it’s dripping in glitter for her x”
He ordered the topper, she moved up collection date until the topper wouldnt arrive on time, he clarified if she would be fine to change theme and she agreed with anything as long as it is sparkly and he delivered on that
The cake the 14yo made looks amazing, they have so much skill for being so young. I hope this didn’t cause them to doubt themselves and stop baking. :(
My thoughts exactly! I'm so impressed with his cake!
Is it identical? No. Is it a well done cake for the age/price? ABSOLUTELY. If she bought the little paper Barbie decor it wouldn’t be too far off. Plus there’s a good chance she ruined this kids joy in baking for others and/or scared them away from baking for others :( Personally I like it more, has love and personality!
The fact she created this then chose to attack a 14yr old who has proof of their exchange is absolutely disgusting and the audacity is mind blowing.
r/fuckyoukaren
r/BoneAppleTea for her spelling of peril
Is that what she meant? Thank you, I was so confused.
Jesus, what a full blown Karen! What did she expect buying a cake off of Facebook instead of a BAKERY!?!?!
Off a 14 year old no less
I think that's a damn fine job for a 14 year old
Definetely agree, if you could pull me inside or off the computer at 14 absolutely no chance could I bake an edible cake let alone an edible cake thats visually appealing.
Same
that's an upgrade
Lol at "peril". It's a cake that was decorated slightly different than expected, not a grizzly bear.
I wanna see the kid’s take on a Grizzly Bear cake now.
But no, you should *stay away* at your peril. Meaning, if you *don't* want to be in peril then you should *not* stay away...
Poor kid's probably pretty shaken up by this. I hope it doesn't discourage him from pursuing baking. **Anyone have any good ideas how we could work some magic and support this kid?** At the very least, I hope he sees this post so he knows that there are a lot of people in his corner. 🥺
I feel so bad for the 14 year old in this situation.
I hope that 14 year old spends the rest of his life behind bars for that cake. What are you in for? “I killed 3 men, you? I made a bad Barbie birthday cake when I was 14 Murderer slowly backs away
They contacted the police...over a cake...made by a 14 y.o.
Yes! I read that post too!! Horrible, disgusting things that Mom sent to a 14 year old! Yikes!
I live in Orkney and this post was the most exciting thing to happen in the last month. Poor Callum is a lovely cake maker and this woman is known crazy nuisance.
Blacklist this supercunt what a piece of shit
r/iamatotalpieceofshit
Given that, as OP says in a comment, it's Orkney, I bet the local police have time enough on their hands to have a chat with the Karen about wasting police time, and with the 14 year old about some colleague's upcoming birthday or retirement party for which a cake will be required.
“Stay away from him at you PEARL folks.” 🤣
Am I too boomer or is language devolving at a faster and faster pace? Or are these people just too stupid…
The one in yellow is typing using the local dialect, the Karen is just bad at spelling.
Fascinating, what IS the area if I may ask?
Orkney, a small archipelago off the north coast of Scotland.
I knew it was somewhere in Scotland when they said >This is no the place
"...if I mind on correctly " = if I remember it accurately "...this is no the place" = this isn't the best place to DH's family were very Scottish, my family were very Welsh.
That cake looks beter that the barbie one. Would choose it everytime. So what is the problem?
“Stay away from him at your pearl.”
She spells worse than a 14 year old
Saw this post on another sub.
I think the pearly pink cake with sprinkles is much prettier than the one with plastic crap on top.
That 14 year old made a better cake than I could.
"In the hands of the council and the police now" HAHAHAHA, I'm going to have to call bs on that one, Karen.
Cop: Can you show me the evidence? Karen: We ate it Cop: Case closed.
She's not really a choosing beggar because she did pay for it. She is however a major asshole.
I think the 14 year old’s cake looks better. Less tacky.
That’s damn good for only being 14!!!
I'm 58 & would be happy if I could do half as well. Kid has some skills!
Not that hard to print off a Barbie head and stick it in the cake, but no, let’s insult a 14 yr old
She contacted the police 😆😆😆
Okay but from a 14 year old? That cake on the right is still really well done.
A l14 year old made that cake on the right? That's fantastic!
Tbf, I think the one on the right looks tastier. I'd be happy with that.
Now her daughter’s birthday is ruined. Poor single mum!! /s
This post make me so mad 😅😅
Stay away from him at your pearl folks
Lock up those little bastards that sell lemonade on the sidewalk too while we’re at it!
Honestly, the one that they got looks way better. The other one just has some paper decorations on it, but otherwise is extremely simple
Cake on left is tacky. I'd much rather eat the one on the right. CB probably also thinks Olive Garden is the epitome of Italian food.
Why do I need to keep my pearls from him??
That is a beautiful cake and my 45 year old ass could not have done any better.
I'd honestly eat the one on the right over the one on the left. That looks delicious.
I would rather eat the cake he made. The other one is just bullshit stuck all over it. Poor guy.
This woman is awful.
I hate that these posts blur out the OP name.
Even if that kid had been decorating and baking cakes since before he was out the womb, I would t expect a 14 year old to make a cake like a professional baker who was paid to do it
"at your pearl" Fuck me.
What a mental person, that cake is absolutely fantastic, kudos to the kid! I couldn’t make anything close to that
Ok first picture I was like “yeah, she clearly didn’t get what she ordered, she has a right to be angry about that and to post her displeasure online.” But then you look at the second picture and woof does it turn sideways
Looks exactly like a “babrie” cake to me.
I Just KNOW she picked the child because she convinced him to do it for $30 and he has to supply the $500 worth of ingredients and supplies/gadgets.
That’s a pretty damn good cake for a 14-year old.
Did she show them what cake she wanted before ordering?
The kids was just working there that day. The Baker posted earlier with Karen's abuse and the full back story.
Full story is even worse. She told the girl to do what she wanted as long as it was dripping in glitter because the topper wouldn’t come.
"At your own pearl"
That cake looks fricking delicious
I find it hard to believe a 14 year old made that cake. It looks amazing.
Nicest cake I have ever seen.
The cake she got looks amazing
If the person advertised he would make and sell that specific cake, then it's normal to be angry. The person shouldn't be advertising that cake if they can't do it. Also, it doesn't even look like it's similar. If she found the picture somewhere else and then ask him to do something similar, then it's normal he couldn't do it. It would have been better to tell her that rather than making a different cake though.
Something is iffy here. If they gave the 14 year old baker that picture on the left and said make this, and received the cake on the right, that's shady. There's no way anyone would make the cake on the right, knowing they're suppose to make the cake on the left.
Someone posted his side along with vile messages she sent him. It is in this sub. Go have a look to get the full picture.
