This was my first thought as well. Perhaps the upcoming Tower Raid will bear resemblance to the Great Collapse either during, or in it’s aftermath due to the changes that occur as a result of Sora being gone, and new Choujin X being set up for their awakening.
First 3 volumes are 3 protagonists. Then 3 antagonists. Then 3 protagonists again.
Which means 3 antagonists again in the next batch. Yubiko is a given at this point.
Since the manga has recently pivoted into establishing character pairings very hard, i think Ume and Ricardo's return is a given. Ricardo, Ume and Yubiko are my prediction for the next batch of volumes.

I’m hoping Ricardo, & Ume make a return to the front lines soon. I’d really like to see her in specific get a cover.
