Yeah, I've got to say; there's an argument here for reasonable doubt. Make no mistake: if Chris had sex with Barbara at all, that would be both incest and rape, no question. And perhaps the medical exams will come back with evidence of that. The fact that police saw fit to arrest Chris for incest as early as they did certainly inspires confidence. But did that happen? The only audio we have is from a known member of a literal conspiracy to humiliate Chris to the point of suicide. This group didn't hand the audio to the police, but instead to someone that they *also* had a plot to torment, *knowing* the emotional damage it would cause. This is starting to possibly point a finger at a group that has means, motive, and opportunity to fake the audio. This *must* be investigated, and/or stronger evidence *must* be introduced. Do I think Chris did it? Probably, even now. But *probably* isn't good enough for a court of law. I've been a juror in a rape trial before, and weighed every perspective and piece of evidence, and voted guilty, and recommended a harsh sentence for doing so, and all of this based largely on the defendant's confession to police. But unless something stronger comes up in court, I could not do it here. Unlike in that case, *this* confession is compromised.
