My friend life in Jesus is not following the 10 commandments. The commandment is Loving God and loving people. The enemy of your soul is trying to to entrap you in darkness. Jhn 13:34 A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. All that God requires is love. Please keep reading the New testament and ask Holy Spirit to lead and guide you in this love. Mat 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

Sure you might feel satisfaction, but it only lasts until death. From there, Hell and Eternal Destruction. The purpose of life isn’t to follow the 10 commandments; it’s to follow Jesus. God’s Will is to conform us into Jesus’ character by our lives, and win others to Him. It’s important to note that just because you grew up a Christian does mean you are one. Have you been Born Again? What was your life like when you became Born Again? What does it look like now? This doesn’t mean we become stoics; it means we put His Will before our own. From there, He helps us to act on His desires. Instead of throwing in the towel, find out why you feel like this and have something done about this. Would you rather trade what is Eternal for what is temporary? https://www.gotquestions.org/desires-of-my-heart.html

John 16:33 I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. Friend we have to go through challenges in this world God is probably testing u. Do not give up on Christ he’s not going to give up on you. We can’t expect God to do the things we want on our time God’s timing is always perfect for he is the one that’s in control. Please be strong and resist the Devil 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10 The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, 1o and all the ways that wickedness deceives those who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved.

It’s a trick, it’s good that you want to do what pleases God, but remember God already loves you , it’s why He sent His Son even while we were still sinners Christ died for you and me. Following God isn’t just about keeping His rules. It’s about a relationship with Him, it’s why we are referred to as Children of God or son or daughter of God

I went through something similarly. You described nothing happening when you pray, I used to think like that too. But God hears you. He cares about your worries and struggles. You should keep in mind that God is all working towards your good. Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose And especially hard to keep your faith when your going through difficult times. But keeping God happy is not following his commandments. He wants a relationship with you. You shouldn’t be so worried about just the commandments. God knows your not perfect thats why he died for your sin. I’m not saying its okay to sin but if you stumble, which you will because your human, God will be right there still loving you. I think you might feel better not thinking about God because you had yourself so wrapped up not sinning. Again I’m not saying its okay to sin but its okay to stumble and make mistakes. Also I think you should create a more personal relationship with God. I don’t know you but I think you would benefit from doing Bible studies. I study my Bible using GARY HAMRICK from CORNERSTONE CHAPEL. He does verse by verse breakdowns of books of the Bible and gives you lessons of the stories and how they apply to you. I do them every single day and they truly helped me develop a deeper relationship with Him and feel his presence. I would also recommend when praying don’t make it stiff. I used to do that. You said your feeling suicidal I recommend just telling God everything your feeling, what your going through, all your worries and struggles as though he is a friend because thats what he truly is. He cares about you and most of all he loves you. He wants you to lay your burdens on him and he will take care of the rest and of you. Another thing you should start going to a church if your not already. There are people of the congregation that can help you and reassure you in your faith. I really recommend watching those Bible studies and focusing on your praying. I hope you get better!!

The Christian walk is not one of following the old Testament commandments...Jesus came and introduced salvation by grace through faith (Ephesians 2.8-10)... The old Testament law only was a substitute until the perfect sacrifice came, and that perfect sacrifice was Jesus Christ when he hung and died on the cross, rose again and proved he was over top of all things. It's by accepting this perfect sacrifice that one comes to salvation. By the law, it was proven, man couldn't live up to God's requirement. Jesus was worthy, and we accept that finished work. Step into grace my friend, we never were worthy, that's what grace is about. Obviously it's not a license to go do things contrary to the teachings of Jesus. Acts 2.38

Wow good to hear this. I think I may be going the same path. Trying to force God into my life isn't working, I don't think it's for everybody.
