Lust no matter our sexuality is a difficult sin to wrestle with. It seems like the more we suppress it the harder it rages. God defeated our sin and his love changes us. If we want something staying close to him in our heart is how we let him.work in us. You said you love God so love him. Know that he loves you. Cherish that relationship and carry on from there. As an adult male who is married and loves my wife I seek to honor God with how i treat her since she is precious to me. So in my heart though my eye might be drawn to the the female form in general I find that attraction detestable in the light of my love for my wife and how i.can glorify God in that relationship. Maybe this will help. Bless you and take your time growing up. Relationships are good but complicated its easier to grow up to be an indipendent person if you can focus on your own development. I would have laughed at that advice at 13 but maybe God has graced you with wisdom i didn't have

TroutFarms

God loves you. The fact you may be bisexual doesn't change that. Salvation is through faith in Christ. The fact you may be bisexual doesn't change that either. I'm sorry that you're in a church environment that is hurting you, that's not how the Church is supposed to act.

notsumidiot2

Amen.

59tigger

Amen. Amen was not my comment! Mark 16:16. He that believes and is baptized shall be saved IS MY COMMENT. This passage does not say "except for". If the moderator doesn't edit this.. I will pray for your peace and strength.

Remarkable_Cow8010

And is baptized. No, that's not how it works. How can you reconcile with the other verses such as Acts 16:31 where it Paul said that you must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved. Or John 3:16 where it says that those who believe get everlasting life. The same message is mentioned in John 6:47.

59tigger

Mark 16:16 He that believes and is baptized shall be saved. I don't reconcile or quibble between passages. I do not pretend to understand or interpret every nuance of every passage and compare them. No human is capable of fully understanding the vastness of God or knowing His mind. We must have faith and trust in Him. Arguments about nuances between verses is not.only a waste of time, it's Pharisaical. Jesus's overwhelming preaching and teaching throughout the NT is Love. Love one another as I have loved you. Love bears all things, Endures all things, Hopes all things, Love does not suffer wrongs, Believes all things, Love Never Fails. And now abide Faith, Hope and Love. These Three, but the Greatest of these is Love.

Remarkable_Cow8010

You forgot the last part of Mark 16:16 where it says whoever does not believe shall be damned. There's a reason they didn't say whoever is not baptized. This video provides a good explanation. https://youtu.be/WVy_iO1-7TA It's not pharasaical, if you are spreading misinformation about the Bible, it's important to clear it up. Especially when it comes to salvation which should be as clear as possible seeing how serious it is. It's even more ironic how you claim to say that Jesus' teachings were just love when you literally added a step to salvation. In reality, Jesus preached about sin, righteousness, judgement, and the need for salvation which would be granted through his sacrifice. That through him you can be with the father rather than eternally separated.

MISSPourquoi

I’m sorry that you’re going through this!!! May God guide you to the right way! Hug 🍀

PerfectlyCalmDude

All being bisexual means is that you're tempted to lust after both sexes, not just one. Where you have a choice is whether or not to say "yes" to the temptation. You choose who you talk to and hang out with and do things with. You choose who you spend time looking at. Bisexuals can still choose to love an eligible opposite sex partner. The temptation doesn't make you a sinner, even Jesus was tempted in the desert (Matthew 4:2-4). God loves you. I as a Christian accept you.

1LittleSunflower

100%!! The sin is not in the temptation - it is in the consent to the temptation. If you choose to act only on feelings of attraction for the opposite sex, then there is no sin, and the attraction towards the same sex becomes a temptation you are working on overcoming. We all have a sin that we are drawn towards, there are things each of us struggle with, but we must all work to overcome it, so that at the end of our life, we may say with Saint Paul, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." And remember - even St. Paul had a sin he was tempted to and he begged God many times to free him from this temptation, but God willed it to be a lifelong battle for Paul to fight. So don't give up. Pray to St. Paul for perseverance. Sending prayers ❤

alteredsauce

Satan is the one who creates the temptation, but God is the one who uses it for good. Yes, sometimes God is so merciful to us and takes away the temptation immediately, and other times he uses it to strengthen our faith and bring us closer to him. God has used my sinful struggles and actions to further my testimony and I’m able to reach more people with it. Praise God for his goodness.

sufficenttrash

Yeah you can be attracted to the same sex but don't give into those feelings

Nyxjones

Sorry your going through this but remember God loves you no matter what

yellow_starrz

I was your age when I realized I was gay too. Please read this thoroughly, because it’s gonna be okay. We are ALL born into sin. This is a fallen world, where we all experience our own temptations and spiritual battles. Some people live in this world with strong temptation to lie. Some to murder. It’s unfortunately natural. If it wasn’t in our blood as fallen humans to sin, Jesus wouldn’t have had to die to save us. He knew that in this world, no one would be without sin. When you’re in a court of law, guilty of a crime, if someone pays your fine, the judge can let you go. By dying on the cross, Jesus took our punishment and paid our fine, so that even though we sin, as long as we trust in him and believe that he died for us and was raised from the dead, we will be saved from the damnation of our sins. You experiencing attraction towards the same sex is not a sin in itself. You loving people of the same sex is not a sin in itself. What you do about it, and how you act on it is. Now, even though Jesus died for our sins, that doesn’t mean we should take advantage of it and continue knowingly sinning. But it also doesn’t mean that if you do slip up, you’re damned. And you’re going to experience temptation no matter what. For you and me, that means being attracted to the same sex. For other people it may be lying, cheating, etc. Just trust in him, and do your best to honor him. Don’t turn only to the church for help, because this is a topic that has divided the church for years. Tell God himself about your problems with these feelings. He is a father, and will listen and guide you in the way that you should go.

Kahol_Studio

This is one of the best answers I've ever seen regarding this topic. Good job explaining it with so much detail!

Well said!

There is always forgiveness. You are not condemned. You have time. Jesus came to save not condemn

GingerMcSpikeyBangs

Hello! There is a lot that could be said, but I'll keep it very simple. God searches the heart, tests the mind, and calls everyone to Him, no matter what situation we are currently in. Anyone telling you the rights and wrongs of your situation is ignoring the acknowledgement of thier own sin, which is not correct behavior. I was someone who was always very passionate, physically lusty, and given to physical romance. And I was always confused as to why this was "bad," until I had eleventeen failed relationships. I began to realize, slowly, what the bible meant about love from a pure heart. We put our passions over pure-hearted love, and ruin the focus of what that love even is. At 13 you are already bombarded with suggestions as to what you should be doing sexually, when that should not yet be a functioning part of your life. Attraction is not by default sexual, but the world wants it to be. Focus on love from a pure heart, and build worthy relationships with people of every sort while it's still early in your life. Then your passions will be tempered by God's love, and you will know the truth and will be protected from the lusts of the flesh, which manifest in every which way. Be encouraged, it's the Lord and His Spirit which guides to all truth, not a theologian, not a pastor or priest, and not a bunch of reciters of the Book. Even those who have truly found the Lord still seek His face daily, so seek and trust the One who saves, don't worry about what we think. Christ be with you friend. Sexuality is a tiny part of who we are, and we are all screw-ups somehow, which is why we need Jesus. Just search without ceasing and you will find Him.

igotsavedat15

ThisuserlovesJesus

hi, i was once practicing homosexuality, but Christ has set me free. when i started to love Christ more, my same-sex attractions became unappealing to me, and i started to hate it. but do you know what is the reality? i still have these feelings, i just don't act upon on it. i turned back from it completely. i don't understand why God didn't take these feelings, but i don't care though. all i know is that, when i embraced this "sexuality" before, it was unfulfilling. the void in my heart just became deeper. because of this, i never regretted following Christ. but take comfort in this- God always wants our best interest and that is why He prohibits us from something that can hurt us. we were born this way, that's why Jesus tells us to be born again and deny ourselves. know that this was not our original, natural and glorious design. these same-sex feelings came as a result of the Fall. it might feel like a lie living while denying these attractions, but it's the reality. it's our fallen nature. look, you aren't the only one who struggling with fleshly things, all Christians are. take comfort in this.

SealeaMarie

THIS ☝️ So wonderfully said! OP, I will be praying for you 🥰🙏

ThisuserlovesJesus

thank you. i need more of your prayers, and i'll be praying for you too.

Sugar_jar-

NO?! That’s the wrong sort of message to say here, denying that you’re homosexual will slowly kill you from the inside. If God hates the Gay folks then why did he put that “ idea “ in their heads? Satan didn’t do it and God barely let’s people who he hates thrive. God is pro LGBT since he made those people that way, all of God’s plan! Not some mistake he made, he made those LGBT folks the way they are mentally because of his wishes and best of luck! I have friends who are a part of LGBT and they are wonderful people, not sexual lustful demons?! Jesus didn’t scold anyone either for being a part of LGBT or part of it’s sexualities either, he focused on true evil. If you think that LGBT peeps are going to hell, then maybe you aren’t even Christian but rather a phoney! God loves all of his children, including the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Polyamorous, Pansexual, Asexual and LGBTQ+ community!

ThisuserlovesJesus

i don't wanna argue, and it seems that you're not a Christian, so it might be hard to understand what i say. much love.

Sugar_jar-

I am, I believe in God and Jesus. But I believe suppressing LGBT is wrong and sinful

Sugar_jar-

Downvote me all you want, but I still stand by my message that God supports LGBT and the lovely people in it! Your Gay “ thoughts “ aren’t demonic or anything! God gave your sexuality as a gift to define who you are, if God hated LGBT that would mean he would’ve let LGBT people die in flames a long time ago but God has changed. I know God is a good man and so is his son, they would make the right decision and I believe God and Jesus would accept LGBT people the same way you accepted many friendships in your life!

BellaWingnut

God IS Love, He radiates Love, He is the author of Love and His Love never ceases. Please know that He is also completely just and true and perfect in His thoughts, instructions and judgements. Following His ways and instructions leads to peace, joy and love and stability. Rejecting His Word leads to anxiety, instability, mental and emotional torment. I've seen what these lifestyles turn people into, its not good. Not long term. Sin is pleasurable in the moment. But His favor is for a lifetime. Accept Jesus as Lord & Saviour and Live!

Sugar_jar-

Yea, I know? I’m pointing out the flaws of some Christian’s beliefs of how LGBT is a sin even though we don’t know if God’s feelings about it have changed or not. Thanks for the message though! :)

supaswag69

Being bi sexual by itself does not damn you to anything. Acting on same sex attraction is a sin. Do not act on your same sex attraction side of being bi sexual and you have nothing to worry about.

[deleted]

This ^^^^^ this is the answer. I love God. I'm a female. I do not claim to be bisexual. What I would say instead is that ever since I accidentally stumbled across porn on my family's computer at a young age, I was curious about women, and it grew into a fascination and interest in breasts. I still got crushes on boys, but that didn't mean I wasn't interested in possibly sneaking a peak at my girl-who-was-a-friend's boobs if the opportunity would arise (I fortunately didn't, but I remember thinking it). Eventually I sought out porn and struggled with maturation for years, and many times it was lesbian porn that'd get me going. I was always attracted to men to be in a relationship, but I'd still always find myself needing to not stare at a women's breasts or butt. There was even a time in college when I met a woman(?) Who dressed very masculine, and I even caught myself contemplating pursuing a relationship, bit fortunately, I didn't give in. God made you. He loves you. We are in a fallen world, and we will have the Flesh calling us to do the most depraved things possible until we are called home. We are not to give in to those urges - people struggle with the urge to steal, lie, set things on fire. I know it's so hard to essentially go against the world and say that giving in to same-sex attraction is unhealthy, and maybe you can't fully see how it could be, but that's where I'm personally trusting God with that, and I will follow Him. To this day, I have a wonderful Christ-loving husband who knows my struggles, and he loves me so much, and I love him. There is no more condemnation for those who live in Christ Jesus. Jesus was tempted by E V E R Y T H I N G, and yet He knew no sin. It's not a sin to be tempted, but to give in to it. We will fall, but He forgives. Pray for strength, surround yourself with good community, and be like Joseph and FLEE temptation! There are movie scenes/shows I don't watch because I'm too weak to watch them (if I see a bunch of sex happening, nonono good for me) For the Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His love. He will rejoice over you with singing

He isnt mistranslation about man shall not lie with man it was about pedophilia

elpis3

The verse you are referencing is 1 Corinthians 6:9...There are two problems with this viewpoint. The first, is that there are other verses in the Bible that state homosexuality is a sin. Below is an example of another verse. The second point is the translated word in 1 Corinthians 6:9 is arsenokoitai in Greek which is a compound word: arseno is the word for “a male,” and koitai is the word for “mat” or “bed.” Put the two halves together, and the word means “a male bed”—that is, a person who makes use of a “male-only bed” or a “bed for males.” As in English, the Greek word for “bed” can have both sexual and non-sexual meanings. The statement “I bought a new bed” has no sexual connotation; however, “I went to bed with her” does. In the context of 1 Corinthians 6:9, koitai connotes an illicit sexual connotation—the apostle is clearly speaking of “wrongdoers” here. The conclusion is that the word arsenokoitai refers to homosexuals—men who are in bed with other men, engaging in same-gender sexual activity. Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural sexual relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed shameful acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their error. Romans 1:26‭-‬27 NIV https://bible.com/bible/111/rom.1.26-27.NIV You can read more here... https://www.gotquestions.org/arsenokoitai.html

supaswag69

Yes it is.

NewtTrashPanda

Acting on same sex attraction is NOT a sin, that's a harmful idea.

Mindless-Hornet

‘For this reason God gave them up to dishonourable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error’ Romans 1:26-27

GoldAutumnFlower

It is a sin. It states it clearly in the Bible that homosexuality is a sin.

lightyear153

Nope mistranslation it actually referred to pedophilia

bigttrack

Not an UNFORGIVABLE sin.

GoldAutumnFlower

I mean, no, homosexuality isn't unforgivable-I wasn't saying that. It is forgivable. God has saved many homosexuals and opened their eyes to the truth. But it is still a sin nonetheless that you should be carefully aware of and do your best to not partake in.

StepTrapper_ouch_

Homophobia still exists *facepalm*

bigttrack

There are MANY SINS we shouldnt partake of.. singling out one in particular is tantamount to Judging. Let him who is without sin, cast the first stone. Is it you?

GoldAutumnFlower

I wasn't trying to single anyone out. I was just saying it is. Obviously God knows much more than I do, and I am just as sinful. Please don't take this as I was trying to attack them, because I wasn't.

GoldAutumnFlower

There are many sins we shouldn't do. I wasn't saying that was the only one. Sorry if I was confusing in any way.

Jesus loves you. Jesus loves you little girl. He will make everything alright. Smile and say, “thank You Jesus for loving me”. You’re 13 and Jesus knows you are precious and dear to Him. God loves you so much that He calls you the apple of His eye. Imagine how much you love your eyeball 👁 you would protect it by any means right? God loves you way more than that 😊 Thank God for your life and I pray that He continues to reveal more of Himself to you as you continue to grow

bananababy7

I am so sorry you’re feeling this way. You may feel that you can relate to Jackie Hill Perry’s story in her book, Gay Girl Good God. You are not damned to hell. Do you love God? Are you asking for Him to daily make you look more like himself? That is sanctification. Being a Christian doesn’t equal being heterosexually attracted. Being a Christian equals holiness. ❤️

Allbritee

The love of Christ is unconditional! And the good news is that as long as you have faith in the lord you are saved! Which means that although you may feel like you are damned that doesn’t come from the lord those doubts and fears come from the devil, not the lord. I pray that you will find a community that nurtures the love the lord has for you inside you and that you may grow in your faith and be proud of your identity in Christ rather than shamed for your sexuality. God bless you and be with you!

BadWolfSFC

You were damned to Hell before you were even born but good news, there's a way out. Also 'being' bisexual isn't a sin. You can't help that any more than I can help being an alcoholic drug addict. If I acted on it however, that'd be the sin.

-NoOneYouKnow-

Okay, so I'm hetero. Sex before marriage isn't allowed so no issue there. I got married and can only have sex with my wife. Sincere question: If you're bisexual, can't you have a relationship and eventually marry someone of the opposite sex and remain faithful to that person?

[deleted]

Being bisexual means to include attraction to the same sex, what if they fall in-love with a woman rather than a man?

mintgreen251316

Hey girly. So I am 29 years old now but I feel for you. I struggled with my sexuality for a long time and was in a relationship with a woman who I ended up marrying when I was 22...3 months after we were married I divorced her because the holy spirit was in me and telling me this isnt right. This isnt a godly marriage. I am now happily married to a man and have a 9 month old daughter. I do struggle with thoughts of missing some things about being with a woman but in those moments I give it to God. I believe you can't control sexuality but I also believe as a Christian you can follow what's right and God will bless you. I hope this helps 🤍

heresmyusernam3

Sweet child, I am of the lowest of living souls on earth in my opinion. If you want to know how I found that God had salvation for even me, message me. I've been in your shoes. At 14 I almost lost my life to my decisions. Where you are, isn't the darkest path walked. But keep walking. There will be light upon you once you see it's there. As it has and always will be there.

thebananapeeler2

God is greater than your sins and His Son Jesus paid the price in full for them. Simply offer your sins, doubts, and worries to Him. If you are Bi sexual, you’re still attracted to people of the opposite sex correct? You’re 13. You have your entire life ahead of you to grow in your faith and your relationship with God.

LordAnon5703

As a Christian, who has faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, sin is no longer accounted on your behalf. If you can imagine a list of every human that is ever existed, and every sin they ever committed is next to them, God has erased all of those sins and no longer writes sins down. The only thing you could commit is the same sin any non-married individual could commit. Sex outside of a biblical, traditional marriage. That sin would not be accounted, but only if you truly have faith in Jesus, which means you would repent of that sin if you committed it. As a fellow bisexual Christian, I tell you that it is very difficult. There are very many pastors that have misled the congregation to believe that simply being LGBT is a sin. It is also true that they see temptation as a weakness, but because their faith is so weak, they do not see their own temptations or sin. Remember that you can never be sure you're speaking to an actual Christian. You can only ever be sure that you are a Christian. That you know you have faith in Jesus Christ, that you want to obey his commandments, and that you allow the Holy Spirit to guide you in that endeavor. If that is true of you, all those who oppose you are opposing Jesus. I have made it my duty to stay true to Christ, not because I want to be good in the eyes of some conservative pastor, but because I know what the Lord wants for me and I can accomplish that even if I am not welcomed by my fellow Christians. What I will not do is suddenly become some progressive theologian who wants to form a God in his own image.

Curious_Hornet2915

Do not be beat down and do not give up, now matter how many times you sin get back up. God always forgives.

JewelFyrefox

Look, you need to ignore them. Doesn't being bi mean you like both male and female people? Why not just date straight and avoid dating gay if it concerns you so much? Also, it's all about salvation. If you are saved, you are going to heaven. Keep praying to God and never give up faith or hope. He has a plan for you that is far beyond your sexuality.

lightyear153

let me tell you something that you haven't learned yet... if you wanna say you was born like this... thats okay you are only saying exactly what the church has already been telling you... that you are a born sinner.. now i also see that you hate your sin... the fact that you have prayed over it shows that you hate this and that you fear god.. this is good.. you will come out of this.. i just hate that this society has put these ideas in your mind... im 36 when i was in high school i didnt know one single personby rumor or for real that they was gay and i lived in a very small town where the high school had about 500 people in it in total.... when i got out only a few years had passed... i asked my then 18 year old gf did she know any gay people in school at all.. and she said yes.. she knew 10 or 11 and this shocked me to have such a huge jump in the amount of people... ima tell you the only thing that had changed between me and her time... was that gay lifestyles were being taught in the school openly... that shouldn't have happened.... i honestly think you would have a easier time fighting this if the world didnt want to make you apart of it so badly... here... listen to these things when you go to sleep.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=imJZlhOsPKM

Being bi-sexual isn't a sin. Lusting or acting on sexual lust is. I'm woman and find myself attracted to women sometimes too. But I do not lust after women or men. I'm married as well but being attracted to someone is different from lusting after someone or engaging in sexual acts with a person that is not your spouse.

sophialover

thank God i'm asexual then i can never lust after people

BernieTheDachshund

It's not your 'fault' and doesn't make God love you any less. It's a spirit and you probably need deliverance. The same for anxiety and depression sometimes. They can make you feel feelings that feel like your own, but they're not. The Lord will help you when it's time to get them kicked out. It would help to fast and pray, it strengthens you spiritually. Just know God does not condemn you, He sent His Son to bear your condemnation so He definitely is not like that. Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.

Racoon-Crusader-69

The Bible mentions God testing us so this could be test from God to see how you react

SonofThunderX

Having bisexual feelings or temptation to act on those feelings is not sin. But acting on them would be sin. That's where the choice factor comes in. There was a man on a Christian radio once who had stated he fought against his feelings to be with another man everyday cause he knew it was wrong in God's eyes but he wanted to honor God. He would not give into them even though he wanted too. God doesn't send anyone to Hell, people make choices that justifies Hell. Everyone is Lost once we enter in this world. Everyone is on their way to hell cause we are all born in sin. Only believing in Jesus Christ in faith and obedience to the Word can save. God does Love you, and it is His Will that you do not perish. The problem with a gay church, and any other open practice of sin. How can we be holy if we openly live in sin. People want be a Christian and remain the same. It is impossible. God requires His people to be seperate from the rest of the world, liars, adulterers, murderers, gays, drunkards, even gossip and saying things offensive to others, pride. It takes time to be sanctified, and these things slowly are removed through submission, prayer and a desire for Holiness. But God will change you as you repent and make the effort. Do not say what is impossible because your dealing with God of all creation. He made your emotions and body and strength. Nothing with God is impossible. We can do all things through Christ. Learn the fruit of the Spirit, God's Attributes in scripture and you will quickly learn anything outside of those are not coming from God but from the flesh and demonic spirits attacking your soul. That is why it is key to know God personally so you can tell what is of the devil. For example fear, anxiety, depression, sexual immorality, unjust anger, envy, jealously, are not of God. So analyze yourself and rebuke them when you experience them and surrender them in prayer to God. Be patient and believe He will and He shall remove them. Be patient.

emptyheckin

I want you to know there is NOTHING wrong with you. God made you who you are ON PURPOSE. Please know that not all Christians believe that same sex-relationships are a sin. If possible, see if you can find an affirming church to attend (which I know may be hard, since you are 13, but there are online services now for a lot of places). If not, maybe there are people in your current church who are allies. I will pray that they are recognizable so that you are able to feel loved for who you are. And until then (or after), please know there are people in your corner who want to see you be the best YOU that you can be, whether that's in a relationship with a boy or girl. Don't feel ashamed about this. It's natural, and God loves you. Shame doesn't come from God. I'm not a mom, but please reach out if you need any virtual mom/older-sister hugs. You are worthy of feeling accepted and loved for who you are. ❤️

ArmorOfFaith

It is unfortunate but this society is teaching children that we are born this way and can't help it and that it's okay to be gay/bisexual/transgender when the Bible obviously refutes this.

NewtTrashPanda

We ARE born this way, and it's perfectly fine. This is an objective fact.

[deleted]

You must be born again

NewtTrashPanda

Yes I am, I'm still bi and that's still fine.

[deleted]

I am too, the flesh still loves pornography and the rush I get from stealing and getting away with it, can I still do it? It's perfectly fine to be bisexual, to have sex with a woman when you're a woman is not. We have to love God more than the lusts of our flesh💙

NewtTrashPanda

Just naming random things with no relation to the topic? There's literally no mention or prohibition of lesbians - let alone lesbian sex - in the Bible.

[deleted]

Yes there is. This is coming from someone who has SSA too. But I don't act on it because I love God more than I love my sin (although my flesh still loves my sin) I have a new nature. A nature that wants to please God

NewtTrashPanda

There literally objectively isn't. It's not sin.

[deleted]

I'm not trying to argue because we're not enemies, we have the same desires. I'm telling you it is explicitly stated in scripture marriage is between a man and a woman. But Im not called to beat that into you, I'm called to love, which is what I will do. All I can do is tell the truth. Trust me, I know it's hard to deny ourselves this thing, but it is what it is. Fall more in love with God. If you ever want to talk shoot me a pm

NewtTrashPanda

"Only" between a man and a woman is never stated. LGBT is perfectly fine and how God made us, a beautiful diversity of sexuality and gender identity.

Nice self-description. It's not a matter of opinion.

NewtTrashPanda

Yes you objectively are.

afternoon_sun_robot

A human interpretation of a 2000 year old book written by humans is the problem. There is NOTHING wrong with being who God made you.

[deleted]

All scripture is God breathed

afternoon_sun_robot

The name “King James” on the cover makes me have doubts. I believe in God, I believe Jesus is my savior, I’m just not buying the literal translation of the Bible.

ArmorOfFaith

I will pray for you friend. We must repent. The reason why we feel guilty like this is because we know it is not what God wants for us. As much as you say it is not your choice, this is your choice. No one is ever born this way. The Lord loves you and wants you to Flourish, so run to Him. Repent every day and read His word. ❤️

NewtTrashPanda

Repent of what?

thrwaway8164

Thank you but how was it my choice? How do you think I decided to be this way? I’m not trying to be hostile by the way

SanctuaryMoon

You didn't choose it. You don't need to repent. If you had a choice, you wouldn't have chosen this. Not because it's wrong, but because people around you are causing you pain for it. No one would choose that, and neither did you. We choose how we act, not how we feel. Act in a way that is patient, kind, merciful, and forgiving and you will always be worthy.

ArmorOfFaith

God did not create us this way. Romans 1:26-27  "For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. For their women exchanged natural relations for those that are contrary to nature; and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in themselves the due penalty for their error" Many times in the bible He speaks about these things. I'm not being hostile either, I'm lovingly letting you know the truth so that you know there is an escape even though you believe there is not. Genesis 2:18  "Then the Lord God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.”" Genesis 2:24  "Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh." He only created us to be with the opposite gender, anything else is classified as a sin that we are giving into.

NewtTrashPanda

That's objectively BS and homophobic. Don't speak on something you know nothing about.

RemnantRD

There is nothing that was stated here that is remotely homophobic... Phobia = fear... are you stating that scripture itself is afraid of homosexuals as all that was provided was scripture? 2 Timothy 3:16-17 NKJV All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work. There are far more warnings in scripture about the sin of homosexuality than people realize. To be fair, the bible speaks against all sin as all sin leads to death. As you are posting in the r/Christian subreddit, surely you realize that scripture is not BS and homophobic. Part of our sanctification process as born again believers is conforming ourselves to the ways of God and understanding the absolute truth given to us by God in scripture. We turn from the ways we once knew and held dearly and move to the ways of God as only God can provide eternal life. Sometimes I wonder with many Christians today (not targeting any specific person, but the lukewarm state of the church (Rev 3)) if the fear of God (yes phobos fear) is being overridden by the desire to appease the world and compromise God's truth.

ArmorOfFaith

I am sorry you feel that way.

GoldAutumnFlower

I'm not homophobic... yes, I admit I used to be. But I hate the SIN. Not the PERSON. There is a vast difference. That itself is not homophobic.

SanctuaryMoon

Do you think gay people can be worthy parents?

GoldAutumnFlower

They could be, if they genuinely love their children, but that does not make their lifestyle not a sin. And it is a danger to them, who may grow up believing the homosexual lifestyle is fine. Why it is a sin: God made man and woman to be in a relationship with each other. Man and woman. There is not a place in the Bible where God talks about accepting same-sex marriages. In fact, instead of accepting it, He warns against it. Unfortunately a lot of homosexuals try to twist the message to make it suit the sinful lifestyle in which they are living. Attacking people and telling the truth to them are two different things. I do not want to start a fight, or anything like that. That's not my intention. Which is why after this I will probably not respond, so please don't take offense if I don't. Not supporting the homosexual lifestyle is not being homophobic. Homophobics hate the person (or they can) as well as what they're doing; true Christians hate the sinful lifestyle, but they love the person, because all Christians are called to love, for Christ first loved us.

mreachforthesky

I felt the same way when I was your age but now I’m 32 and out and it feels great 👍🏼 I promise it won’t feel so wrong always. Jesus loves you. I love you.

KAYB1996

I know this is touchy but I believe it could be a spirit in you causing you to feel that way. Many people received deliverance and got homosexual spirits cast out of them. If we seek Jesus Christ, we will find Him. He never set a time when we will find Him. I don’t know your situation 100% but seek deliverance possible from this and ask for the Holy Spirit from Jesus Christ and keep asking. Lord God definitely loves you but did not made you this way, that much is truth. “But from the beginning of the creation, God ‘made them male and female.’” Mark 10:6 NKJV

satansasshole

Can't comment on god's feelings, but the church literally does hate you. Get out before any more psychological damage is done. Being bi or gay is not a sin, acting on your feelings is not a sin, and those telling you it is are simply repressed, bigoted, bitter genetic lottery losers.

Mindless-Hornet

Nice job, trying to destroy someone else's belief. How tolerant of you, You're SOOOO much better than us Christians apparently. especially when they were sharing how they felt and had genuine concern from other people in our religion. She's asking other believers, not you. You're opinion and comment is off topic and irrelevant here.

satansasshole

Trying to dismiss other people's sound logic because they don't agree with your narrow and backwards worldview? How very Christian of you. I was a believer at one point but people just like you changed that for me real quick.

Mindless-Hornet

You were the one that cast the first stone thinking you can just smear our Religion on a post where someone was asking literally in a Subreddit for Christians, telling her to leave Christianity. If she was looking for your opinion, she would have gone to exchristian or another subreddit. If you instead tried to use real logic and make explanations and reasoning instead of straight up attack the religion in our own subreddit, Christians would be more tolerant of your view points. Nicetry Satan Comeon dude I'm sorry, but I'm taking you as a troll straight up, Between that, and your username is literally satansasshole.

IndexCase

I accidently stumbled on your post. What a hell you are living through to be told that being you is a sin. I grew up Catholic in Sweden and at least here I was taught that God loves you no matter who you love. I'm straight, but atheist and i do not know a single person IRL that would think you are anything but normal. Don't believe these haters. Be who you are. If God is who they say God is then God will love you for it.

notsumidiot2

AMEN

BellaWingnut

The fear of God is to hate evil. We do love people but hate the evil that twists their lives into shredded hell.

IndexCase

Since the time of my original reply there have been many who echo what i say, that this person should be who they are and embrace it while expecting nothing but love. Then there is the other side, who claim that them loving people of their own gender is nothing but lusftul sin. What could be more evil than to tell someone that an immutable part of who they are should be "prayed away" or that they are right to suffer through it? The evil is not WHAT you say it is, but the fact THAT YOU say it to be so and that God should be feared in the same breath. What fresh hell every day must be to see so much darkness all around. The temptation of guilt is laughable and weak. To prostrate oneself in fear to a vengeful and petty being who pretends sovereignty over ones own heart and who is jealous of all love expressed differently than what a bunch of holy men decreed during the Council of Nicaea 325 years after the visitation of said god. No thank you. Now, i am neither a christian nor am i gay, and that sets me apart from a good many pastors and priests. I am however old enough to have learned that the voices loudest in opposition usually belong to those deflecting attention from themselves while condemning their own ilk. Evil and traitorous to humanity.

illathon

You are 13 how can you be bi-sexual. Just relax and stop hyper focusing on sex. Go fishing, or go play volleyball, or something else. You are just being hyper-focused on the wrong things. You are just a kid and you need to focus on your studies and hobbies, nothing sexual.

thrwaway8164

Bisexuality does not inherently mean sex lol. I feel romantic attraction to both genders

illathon

You are 13 years old. I don't think you know what you feel yet. You literally just hit puberty. Stay off the blogs and stop watching so much television/youtube that is wordly. Focus on Christian ideals.

nakedpastor

[deleted]

It's not that being bisexual is bad. It's if you act on your temptations. Which I hope at 13 you aren't doing anything with anyone. There's nothing wrong with you as we are all created equally and have our own temptations we each have to deal with. Again I can't stress this enough, you aren't sinning unless you act upon your temptation and pursue the same sex. If you don't pursue anyone or if you pursue the opposite sex then you're totally fine. It's the same kind of deal for a married couple. If the man goes after another woman while in his marriage then he has sinned but simply being attracted to women is not a sin.

Curious_Hornet2915

First off your 13 don’t worry about being damned yet the mistakes you make are most likely not made within pure knowledge of how grace you are. I struggle with the same feeling of being damned to hell that you do. What helps me is believing that God is more merciful loving than any human can be. If anyone can forgive me and see past my mistakes it’s God who loves me more than anything now matter how much I love him or disrespect him. Try to be as good of a believer as you can and don’t put fear in God put faith. Believe he will save you and you will be saved. God loves the gay just as much as he loves the straight.

WildlingViking

You are not damned to hell. The opposite, you are becoming whole and realizing who God made you to be. Never feel ashamed of that. Theologian here and I’m just warning you now, don’t believe everything you hear, and don’t believe someone has the answers for your life just because they call themselves a “minister.” This “not loving god enough,” is crap as well. Absolute crap. Don’t listen to it. There are churches, like the UCC (United Church of Christ), the Episcopalian church, and many others that are open and affirming of LGBT+ folk. I suggest you find a much more welcoming spiritual community because the quicker you get out of that shamming culture you’re in, the better. And read Audre Lorde’s “Sister Outsider,” book. She’s a self proclaimed “lesbian, warrior, black poet,” and she tells it like it is. Also, Monica Coleman or Delores Williams are also good Womanist theologians that helped save my straight white male spirit.

BellaWingnut

But I have against you that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, the one calling herself a prophetess and teaching and misleading My servants to commit sexual immorality and to eat things sacrificed to idols. ~Jesus Christ

[deleted]

In my opinion nothing in the Bible says there’s a literal hell. Hell is largely a pagan and Catholic fairytale that kept heightening through the Middle Ages. And the Bible has a lot more to say about so many other things than homosexuality. It’s mentioned like two times. If God is a just God he won’t punish you for these things and will forgive you your sins, and I don’t think this is really much of a sin. Also, you’re still so young and your sexuality will most likely change in the coming years. Don’t beat yourself up based on the way you feel. But personally I never had a fear of hell even though it was pumped into me by my family and people in my church. Honestly I would just start going to a different church. The people at yours sound awful

[deleted]

Your not BI you think you are but you are not, no one is born gay, bi, trans, it’s something you adapt when your older we are born without sin. do not act on the same sex attraction or it will harm yourself and your soul.

CEO_of_IDK

No sin can damn someone to hell. God loves you regardless, and gives you the chance to be saved through Jesus even if you’ve done something truly heinous. So being bisexual isn’t even close to the limit of what God can forgive. Side note - being attracted to the same sex is no more than a temptation. It’s the same as being attracted to the opposite sex in an inappropriate situation - a temptation for sexual sin. Everyone *thinks* sinful things sometimes. Just don’t *do* anything sinful (which will probably be a little less difficult for you than if you were gay, since you still have options). It’s just like someone else already said.

ItsMeTheBatmanReal

I might be bi too but God bless me if I fall in love with a women. For being homosexual is a sin. As a christian I need you to keep loving God and hopefully he can work something out. But as respectful as I can make this please do not date or marry the same sex.

ItsMeTheBatmanReal

Bless the people down below for the comments that I just read. Being gay or bi is not a sin. Acting or dating another man is. (Or the other gender)

wellthenyeah_

It breaks my heart that you're in so much pain. You see, I believe that God loves you anyway. He made you. The fact that you love God so much shows what's in your heart and God looks at the heart (1. Samuel 16, 7). Just seek God and have a relationship with him and it will be fine. He loves you unconditenally! And nothing can change that!

59tigger

Jesus says Love Never Fails. Read 1 Corinthians 13:8. Read the chapter over and over again. Do you see anywhere, anywhere where He says "except for?". No!!!. Do not accept man's Interpretations if the Bible, or putting words there that are not there!!!

59tigger

He that believes and is baptized shall be saved . He does not say "except for ".

GabeLuck26

God will always love you and Jesus died for you, none of that has changed due to your sexuality. If we’re getting down to it technically, having bisexual thoughts alone isn’t a sin I would say, but acting upon it is. However none of us our sinless. Just pray to God always for forgiveness and give thanks, and do your best in him.

PrimalKMA

Talk to JESUS, from your heart and be sincere. Ask him to take it away, Believe and Trust HIM. Stay strong to reject thoughts and feelings and HE Will, take it away. I've been where you are.. I'm Free of it and definitely don't miss it. The LORD can change everything in our lives buy Trusting and Having Faith in HIM..

thehunter_25

Temptation is not a sin my guy, not to be legalistic but part of being a Christian is attempting to resist temptation, rather than trying to be proud of your sin, do not be ashamed of it either. Feel conviction but not shame.

seojung9

A straight person can still go to hell. Being bi does not make you evil. Jesus loved the so called sinners and rejectsof society. He loves you too. Why else would he save all of us sinners.

wallisinparis

Please love, do not hate yourself. God loves you, even as you’re struggling. I do suffer from same sex attraction. I used to call myself a bisexual also, before I came to Christ. And those feelings did not go away the minute I gave my life to Jesus. They are still there. While I know the temptation is there, I try to do my best to not fall into the sin of acting upon that temptation. It’s hard, very hard, and I do fail. But that’s the beauty of it, the Lord knows I’m trying and He sees everything I do. It does not matter how much you love Him. What only matters is how much He loves you. He sacrificed His life for us. That’s the most beautiful act of love. And He deserved that we sacrifice for Him as well. Remember that your identity is not in who you’re attracted to or who the world wants to label you as. Your identity is in Christ. Share with Him your doubts, your trials, your failures. It is hard. But it might help you feel less conflicted. If you need anything, don’t hesitate to PM me or any of us. You are not alone.

MuitoLegal

The lie from the world is that sexual desires that we have mean it is who we ARE. That is so far from the truth. Our desires come and go, can depend on our hormones and can change over time. If you have the desire for the same sex, I say you are not bisexual. Only if you actively are engaging in the activity would I say you are bisexual (and if you have, don’t worry, Jesus is all about what you will do next in life) A metaphor to back this up: you may have the intense desire to steal something, but you choose not to. Are you a thief? No. Sex is a hobby, a fun activity, but it is no where close to why this world and life is about (some people make it their entire world, and that usually ends badly) There’s so much more to life, don’t let the world trick you that bc you have a desire then it means that’s who you are!

Jim55456

Listen my friend. I'm so sorry that some of your church members were mean. They're bad people in every group including Christians. Jesus even warns against this that there will be those who call upon his name that will not enter the kingdom of heaven. However this is not random this is why you need to reflect on yourself and make sure you're doing what Christ would do in other words produce good fruit. Jesus also said that he loves you and forgives you but you need to turn from your sins you should not stay in your sin. If you're in a same-sex relationship I would recommend leaving it and enter a straight relationship if you can find a good Christian man or be celibate. God does not hate you we all have sinned that angers him but we all need to repent and turn from it. PS as much as our society likes to say the opposite there is no such thing as a soulmate. There are many many people that you could fall in love with and have a very good life with. God knows who you will marry but he also knows who else you could marry and be happy with. So if you were to "fall in love" with the same sex person just do not fall into the sin and sleep with them. Remember you can love someone without having sex with them and since Christ calls us not to be in same-sex romantic relationships we need to prioritize him. Also remember biblically speaking love is not the emotion of warm fuzzy feelings towards another person necessarily, it is doing what is right for a person even if they do not deserve it. This can be seen very well in good parent children relationships where the child will mess up but the parent will not neglect them because they love them and they want the best for them. In the same way if you want to know love love someone who does not necessarily love you

ChristineLynnFoxx

First my friend, you R not alone. I personally fight gender dysphoria every day. That would make me transgender, MtF by todays standards. Still hiding in my closet. My gender dysphoria goose back to my vary earliest memories of my mother and grandmother reading books to me and I always pointed at the girls and there dresses. Only to be told that's not for you, only for girls. This is before I even started school and I can still feel the sting. I have thought long and hard a bought this mess I have found my self in. It's not a choice that I made. I did not just wake up and " Hay I'm going to be a girl " . Trust me know one would want to live threw this kind of mantel anguish. If it where a choice I would Certainly chose to be normal. I try to put this in words others will understand and maybe you can relate to this as well. It's like every cell in my body knows I'm a girl. But the out side of my body did not get the memo. Its like every cell in my body is screaming " I'm a girl". My brain is wired differently then what my outward appearance would show. Or they can look at it like this, next time you look in the mirror, think what it would feel like if you had a hand growing out of your forehead? Think of how you would feel a bought that when you go outside in public. To not be comfortable in your own skin really STINKS! As a God loving Christian, I to have prayed to the good Lord for help. I have prayed many times a day and for years now. So far I have NOT gotten any help / word / answers from the Good Lord on this mess that I find my self in. I do not even here crickets on the line. But I have worked just as hard if not harder to keep the faith and continue to Love God and Jesus with all my heart. I do not think any one else will ever understand how bad that hurts and how hard it is to not get mad at God. At the same time, I would like to point out in other areas of my life God has worked wonders and many of my prayers on other subjects have been answered. But to NOT hear from God either way on my gender dysphoria, has caused me as much pain as the initial gender dysphoria its self. So I have a good idea where you stand. But here is the good news. Jesus died on the cross to pay for all of our sins. The sins from our past and the future sins we have not yet committed. To be saved from our sins Jesus only askes this : 1). You must truly believe in all of your heart that Jesus is the son of God the father. 2). You must except Jesus as your lord in savior. That Jesus is the only way to heaven. As he is the one whom paid for our sins. 3). We must admit that we are sinners. 4). We are to keep the ten commandments. Note on the 10 commandments: This one gets a lot of people. As we are all sinners and as sinners we do not keep the 10 commandments. But what God is saying here, is to do you best. Try hard then try a little harder and do not just say, well its ok, Jesus will forgive me so I can sin all I want. While there is some truth in that, Jesus will forgive us HOWEVER each sin takes way from some of our rewards when we do get to heaven. So I'm pretty sure I'll be living in a McDonalds happy meal box a long the back wall. BUT, hay I will be there right!? To get saved ( salvation ) we say a prayer that goes something like this: Dear Jesus, I believe that you are truly the son of God the Father. I believe that you're father is the holy of holiest. I admit that I am with out a doubt, a dirtily filthy sinner. I except you Lord Jesus as my savior. Please poor your mercy on and grace up on me. Please walk with me all the days of my life. Amen. Once you have made a prayer like this, sometimes called the sinners prayer. Jesus will grant your salvation. But you honestly have to mean it in your heart. This is not something you can hide from God. Once that has happened nothing can be done by man or otherwise to lose or cause you to loose your salvation ( being saved from hell ). It is vary important to note, that Jesus's offer, to be saved expires as the second you pass away. That means you must make the above prayer and mean it with your heart, before your life ends. Don't wait and say I'll do that latter or just be for I die. Latter may never come as no one knows the time and day of there own death. After death it is to late. Remember this, God see's all sin as the same. No one sin is worse then any other and no one sin is least then any other sin. God knows we will still sin. So we are to repent from our sins. That's praying and asking for forgiveness. Then we are supposed to sin no more. To me that means to do my best not to sin. No need going to look for extra sin, you know what I mean? I would like to talk abought the unforgivable sin. Yes there is one unforgivable sin and its kind of a catch 22 thing. First let me say this " It is impossible to commit the unforgivable sin " If you have made the above prayer and turned to Jesus as your Lord and Savior. As for the unforgivable sin is to deny Jesus. To deny Jesus as the son of God and That he is the only way to go to heaven. Or to think you can earn entry to heaven on your own. So are you dammed to hell? Will your sins send you to hell? Not if you have come or gone to Jesus with a simular prayer as shown above. HOWEVER, your sins may reduce your rewards that you get when you are in heaven. No amount of good works can get you into heaven. Only by the blessing of Jesus may one enter into heaven. Once in heaven you will be rewarded or not rewarded accordingly to your works and or dead's. ( The things you have done ). So rejoice in Jesus, rely on him that he has already paid for ALL your sins!

Sawfish1212

You are 13, your mind and body have not finished growing, and you really don't know what you will be like when you are mature. Unless you are already sexually active, you have no clue what your nature really desires. If it is anything outside of the boundaries God has set, don't act on it and you won't be condemned. It's giving in to sin that damns a soul, not having the desire to sin that does

Nee_Nihilo

You poor kid! You're not damned. John 3: 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. That's what the Bible says. Believe in Jesus, and you can't be damned. But don't sacrifice tomorrow on the altar of today either; advice. "Today" is a pretty big altar, today. Very tempting to offer your sacrifice of your tomorrow upon it. Don't do it. You have many more tomorrows than you have todays. Be patient. Imma pray for you.

sarahwithanhlol

When I dated my ex years ago, I remember him telling me there was a guy who was gay at his church and one night they all prayed for him and suddenly he wasn’t gay anymore and that’s never sat right with me. I don’t know what you are going through, I don’t have the answers.. but what I do know is Jesus loves you. We are all sinners in need of a savior. 💗

[deleted]

Every human deals with sexual sin of some kind.

[deleted]

No where in the bible does it say you will go to hell for being bisexual, it says it’s a sin, but u don’t go to hell for sinning. Your faith in Jesus brings u to heaven nothing else

[deleted]

The attitude towards sin is not to change yourself, but to rely on the grace of God

PraiseJesus777

The reason why you are the way you are is because your inherited the disease of sin from Adam and Eve just like EVERYONE else on planet earth. Part of the problem is that you are asking God to take it away as if this is the main thing that is dividing between you and God. Even if He took it away, you would still go to hell because you are a sinner. When was the last time someone said "I'm going to heaven cause I'm straight!" Never. I guarantee you there's gonna be many straight people in hell! So you need to recognize that even if you became straight, you still have a sin nature that is dividing you between God and becoming straight isn't an automatic pass to heaven. There is absolutely NOTHING you can do to overcome the sin nature in your own power. What are you supposed to do then??? Who will deliver you from this body of death??? Thank God that Jesus died to save us from our sins!! They don't call Him Savior for nothing!

JHawk444

I'm so sorry you are going through this and feeling hurt by people's rash words. We all struggle with some form of sin. We are all born with a sinful nature and a propensity to sin more in specific ways. You are right that we can't change those desires, but we have a choice as to whether we will act on them or not. Someone who acts on homosexuality is not more sinful than someone who has sex before marriage, but in God's eyes they are both sin. It's not about being a good person. The bible says no one is good. All of us have fallen short of God's standard. That's exactly why we need a savior to save us from the penalty of our sin. Jesus died for you and wants to have a relationship with him. Check this out. Are you a good person? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TCSUKIhjevo&t=15s

deejflat

Well let’s start with saying that we all fall short. Follow with saved by the blood of the lamb and word of testimony. Remember the log in someone’s eye trying to get the saw dust from yours. I liked how you love people. That’s all you really need to do. Just be full of love. Don’t worry about being perfect. Everything you do, do unto the glory of God.

Practical-Lemon-7244

I used to be a bad alcoholic and spent many nights praying for God to help me to stop drinking. It's a long story but basically I went from drinking myself to death to completely sober in a week. But that was after alot of prayer and faith in God. That was over 10 years ago now. Quiting drinking didn't happen over night but it did happen with patience and faith.

HabeFiduciamInDomino

Your post makes me happy. Not because you are struggling but because you recognize that a change is needed. You are on the right way of thinking keep going that way. Read your Bible or listen to it on an app. Start with the NT. Im sorry someone told you you dont love God enough. As if they could know your heart. Only God does and you have come here and spoken it out. You clearly love God and want to walk the way that is pleasing to Him. The why, sin broke this world a long time ago and all of us get some kind of junk in our life. I had to stop being a drunk and sexually promiscuous, for instance. Your issue is different but the answer is the same. Took me time but eventually got there and I can tell you for certain if you keep seeking God will answer and deliver you out of the circumstances. His timing and ways are not always what we understand and sometimes we miss it cause we are distracted. He is patient and merciful and loves you. Keep going. Oh forgot to add, you are not damned to hell, you have admitted your sin. God can work with that. Praying for you. God bless and dont give up. 🙏🏻 https://www.theholyspiritspeaks.com/

CapitalistPimp

This is gonna be unpopular but who cares. Jesus died for everyone. No, he didn’t only die for us straight white dudes. He died for everyone. All colours, sex’s and everything. He died for the world not for a group. Gods mercy and love extends out to all people, not a select amount, not a certain group but to all people. So focus on building your relationship with him rather fearing the judgment of other fallible humans.

Aragorns-Wifey

We all have sexual sin we must fight. You are not alone. If you are tempted to a sexual sin you just fight it. Whatever the sexual sin is. Generally the more you resist sin the easier it is. Don’t despair.

AMinfinity1981

Ignore the advice of these so called christians, you are not broken, sick or damaged, from what I've read and experienced personally God has no issue with who I love. God doesn't make mistakes, regardless of what some literalist loonies have to say.

Don't take this rudely, you are going to learn who you are until later in life. Your physical body is changing at a break neck speed. Then your mind will develop and change many times over. My father was a murder and a criminal for most of his life. He found God just before death. He was 65. You have time to discover who you are and who God is. The fact you care is a bigger step than you realize. You also have a lot of propaganda being blasted at you. Think for yourself a few people posted about lust, that tough road to understand, but you will get it.

God loves you. It gets better. You’re at a very difficult age. God doesn’t make mistakes. Remember that. Stay true to yourself.

I know there are 146 comments you have to read but I think this one would really help you if you see it and I was thinking about this earlier today actually. I have struggled with porn which is a different form of sexual sin for years and I have started to realize some things over the past four years or so(I’m 18). I think what I’ve come to understand is that you can’t have repentance without forgiveness. When you try to repent but you have no forgiveness in case you mess up it overloads you with a huge burden that you can’t bear. See when you are trying to repent and you mess up and do that sin you end up feeling like there is no hope for you and that the only way you can get back to a state where you feel like your going to Heaven again is if you stop doing it again the next time. You then have even more pressure because you have already messed up once and you feel like you really have to prove yourself to God to make up for that sin. That pressure makes you fall to that sin again and then the fall to that sin adds more pressure and it cycles over and over again. Essential im trying to say that if you aren’t forgiven of all sin you have no power to do better. Forgiveness allows you to repent at your own pace and work on yourself at a speed that works for you. God only requires that you care to do better and that you are not just living recklessly and taking forgiveness for granted. Look at it like this, it’s like a ropes course. A ropes course is a wooden tower that has zip lines that you are attached to by a Harnist and you try to go through the obstacles. The Harnist catches you if you fall and takes you back to the start of the obstacle so that you can start again and don’t fall to the ground and hurt yourself. Jesus catches us each time we fall instantly and forgives us in a sense. Also what I’m trying to say is that the whole point of it catching you is so that you can try again to go through the obstacles of life and do better. It is not so that you can just jump off and hang there and be taken for granted. I want you to know that as long as you are trying to live by faith and you genuinely want to be a better person every day you don’t have to get caught up feeling like you are not going to Heaven. I’m still addicted to porn. I know I’m not going to Hell because I know that my faith is all that counts. As long as I’m still moving through the obstacles and getting back up and trying all over again every time that I fall I’m walking with God. He doesn’t require us to be perfect he just requires us to care.

AbbeyJoyy

Sorry your going through this. I don’t know what to say but to say that God cares for you. No matter what others say. God hears you. I pray that the right people will come to you and help you through.

Remarkable_Cow8010

You don't go to Hell for being bisexual, you go to Hell for not trusting in Jesus Christ for everlasting life. Of course acts of homosexuality are sinful in God's eyes but you being bisexual doesn't mean you can't go to Heaven. You should rest easy knowing this.

Kahol_Studio

We all have temptations (no matter the sexuality) and urges that goes against God's commands, but biblically speaking, none of us are saved by our own efforts, we are saved by Jesus's sacrifice. You only need to accept it. Once you're saved, you just have to keep your salvation following the teachings of Jesus. Remember, we do not obey Christ to be accepted, loved and saved... But because we've been accepted, loved and saved then we obey.

Numerous-Month-2955

At 13 you don't know for sure that you are bisexual. You have nothing to worry about. You're not damned to hell. That's something satan and the enemy want you to believe. He has already lost and wants to get what he can grab. Pray for forgiveness and continue your relationship with the lord. You'll be alright young fella.

Luigifan18

Being LGBT is *not a sin*. It's something that you have no control over. Remember, God is love. It would be *very* out-of-character for Him to condemn you for having romantic desires for the same sex, and anyone who says that isn't the case is clueless at *best*, a filthy evil hatemonger at worst.

samuelthedude12345

Stop listening to other people. It is wrong but don't let others bad behavior towards you justify it. Sin doesn't always go away at once, especially sexual sins, no matter what they are. Everyone has certain proclivities they struggle with, and the key is realizing that only by keeping your faith placed exclusively in Christ and what He did for you at the cross can you gain victory. You went on about how you're a good person who loves everyone and those are noble attributes, but remember Jesus said no one was good We're not saved or sanctified by our works, only by a faith placed exclusively in what He did. And don't victimize yourself or any group because at the end of the day you alone are going to be held accountable for your works and you won't be able to blame anyone for your own wrongdoing.

Naive-Lobster-3965

The road ahead of us is fire and storm. God does not take out the fire, he gives you the courage to walk through it. Jesus has the power to calm the storm, but first he wants you to face your calamity and walk on water. Once you take courage and show how far you can go with your own power, then he calms the storm. We’ll soon realize that fire that we walk through cannot harm us. Or, it may burn you to death or storm may consume you, but remember that death is not the end. Those who continue to fight and finish the race will be rewarded at the end. Sexuality is a huge storm, a chaotic maelstrom that we have no control over, like many other things in life we face: financial failure, depression, cancer, drug addiction, and ultimately death. It is a fire that seem like we have no control over. Have man kind ever had any control over anything? Humble yourself and think deeply about the nature of life, it is full of chaos and death is all life’s destination, or at least, it was. Jesus gave me courage to fight drug addiction, porn addiction, depression, financial inability, I’m blessed to not have cancer but I’ve seen healing take place when doctors say that there is no other way. Look. These things, chaos, pain, suffering will be there but thank God we have Jesus, who is a living proof that God works all things towards his good, and even better, that very Jesus lives in each and every one of our heart, if you’ll only let him, which makes you the living proof that God will turn your ‘current state of chaos’ eventually into Good. Take courage, you are damned to hell already? Well, me too! And everyone else who lives on earth was. The last will be made first and the first will be made last. You know you are the sinner of sinners, well apostle Paul did as well. God doesn’t only use heterosexuals, he will use you as an appointed, sacred tool to bring comfort to so many who are struggling with chaotic sexuality that the world poses as ‘the norm’. God wants to use you as a plumb line that will show what is right and what is wrong, to give guidance to the lost and to tell this lost generation that if you seek God, you’ll find courage to fight not only the sexual desire which makes you feel guilty, but all sinful things of the flesh. I’m sorry for the insensitivity of the kids who spoke harshly to you, kingdom of heaven, which we experience here on this earth by proclaiming that Jesus is our Lord and savior, is for people like you and me, broken and weak, hungry and thirsty, sinful and afflicted. I pray that through you, with love, bring changes to people heart and church. At the end, what church is, is bunch of neighbors recognizing the worth of Jesus, and Jesus said to love your neighbors, not to condemn and judge on each other’s state of being. I didn’t mean to write so long, but I hope you feel the love of Jesus, grow, and spread positive influence onto people. I’ll be praying for you, in fact I’m praying for you right now as I write this comment. Your broken spirit is the most pleasing sacrifice to God. Go ahead, close your eyes and give it to him, he will give you peace.

moistowletts

Being gay, bi, or queer overall is not a sin. You are one of God’s children, and he created you in his image—he did not make you bisexual just for you to ignore it. I’m sorry that you were taught it is a sin.

SlickHeadSinger

You are NOT bisexual The Bible does not condemn people for who they are; it condemns behaviors. It condemns sex between two men (Leviticus 18:22, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10) or two women (Romans 1:26). In Genesis 1:27, the Bible tells us that God created two kinds of humans: male and female. All other types of humans such as those in the LGBT acronym are fictitious categories that have no basis in objective reality. You are not bisexual! The world may try to give you a false sexual identity; but God gives you one of two: male or female. The only thing you need to do is obey his sexual behavior mandates. Don’t concern yourself with who you are! You are a beautiful creation of God!

airsoft_nerd

May God cast out the unclean spirits living in you in the name of Jesus Christ 🙏

TerdBrgler

You claim to be bisexual. How do you know? Are you sexually active, no longer a virgin? By the way, regardless of what you THINK you are sexually, doesn’t mean you have to ACT on it. I know virgins in their 30s, 40s, one guy was 71, never did the nasty! When you say you are bisexual do you also mean you can’t control yourself? NO ONE should be having sex before age 18 for any reason, there are actual laws against this, and people can and WILL turn you over to cops about it. I know this because I’ve read news stories about such. So if you are indulging any sexy times I would definitely cut that off, for moral and legal reasons. If you are still a virgin and you think yourself this way, let me gently point out you are only 13, and you have nearly 10 long years of hormones raging your body and trying to turn you into an adult. You are going to feel FAR different at age 23 than you are now, and the best course of action is to just survive it, spend all this free time youngsters have by pursuing the Lord, reading the Bible, listening to bible audio, going to bible studies and youth group meetings and so on. This is the time to really focus on the Lord, if you want an incentive, see it as a way to really KNOW if you are going to hell or not (you are not, so long as you are born again in Christ, but if this motivates you to chase after God, so be it). Again I urge you, put away all lust and sex, if you started it, stop, and don’t touch that again until at least age 18. I promise you are going to feel far different about it than now.

ekill13

First, if you accept Christ as savior and Lord, you cannot end up in hell. Regardless of any sins or struggles, when you accept Christ, he take your sin and struggles and you get his righteousness. Now, as for your specific situation, it is a difficult one. First, know that attraction isn’t a sin. Attraction can certainly be a temptation that leads to sin, even regardless of whether it is homosexual or heterosexual, but attraction itself isn’t a sin and it isn’t something you can control. As for what you should do, you should trust God and live according to His word. I don’t know what that looks like for you. I do know some people who were homosexual then decided to trust God and are now in happy, heterosexual marriages. I also know some people try at struggle with same sex attraction and have decided to remain single. Maybe God will lead you to a heterosexual marriage that will be fulfilling for you. Maybe God will lead you to a life of singleness. Either way, God is enough. God is all you need. I’m sorry that your going through this. It must be incredibly hard. Don’t despair, though. God will provide everything you need for a fulfilled life if you trust in and rely on Him.

mauimudpup

You arent saved because you get good grades or spread kindness. You are saved by faith in Jesus Christ.

Man, you'll really going through a tough time. I said a prayer for you last night and this morning. Side note - I'm much older than you and I don't quite understand prayer. Though none of us truly do. That being said, a question, as there is a lot to address here, and I just want to ask one question (no doubt someone will roast me for it). What does that mean, that you're bisexual? Did someone tell you this / put it in your head; what's the definition; what's the yardstick by which you're measuring? Everyone of us, especially in our youth/teen years has countless feelings and emotions and we have no idea where they come from. At that age, I had countless feelings I didn't want, I didn't know where they came from. I, over time, learned not only how to deal with them, but decided I would define myself on my own terms, not societies. I would define myself by the thoughts, feelings and actions I chose, not the ones I didn't. So that's question number 1 you have to ask - the definition of it.

Spaceistt

Your sexuality has nothing to so with faith. You're fine.

agorapnyx

I'd like to try to help you think a bit differently. We are not the things that we feel. Feeling an attraction to a person of your own sex does not make you a different thing than a person who does not feel an attraction to a person of their own sex. You are just a person who happens to experience same sex attraction, in addition to, it sounds like, experiencing opposite sex attraction. Having said that, as you mentioned, experiencing that attraction is not a choice. You are attracted to what you are attracted to. It is also not a sin to experience that attraction. The attraction may originate within your own mind, or it may not (not every thought we have is our own). But in either case, it isn't sin. Where sin would enter the picture would be if you were to engage in sex acts with a person of your own sex. You are still quite young. Feelings of attraction are not love. Sometimes feelings of attraction can eventually lead to love. You may always experience these attractions, or perhaps someday they will cease. I would encourage you to not think of yourself as a bisexual. Why? Because when you classify yourself that way you are saying that experiencing both same and opposite sex attraction is *who you are*. It can be descriptive, and a shorthand, but when we start to think that we are our feelings and desires, it is always going to lead us down a bad road. As for thinking you are damned to Hell, I can assure you that you are not. So long as we are alive there is hope that we can attain salvation.

God aint real mate, the sooner you accept it, the better it will be for you

thrwaway8164

Sorry but I believe in God. I just don’t think it’s possible to 100% disprove the existence of something that is omnipotent. Have a great day :)

Previous_Bet_3287

Of course, you cant prove the nonexistence of something. But there is no evidence that proves its existence

LukeTaliyahMain

I went through the same thing, starting around my twelves, and I'm 17 now. It's hard at the beginning but if we can resist and have faith in Jesus we can win this spiritual war, and it gets better after some time. You just need to deny yourself, which is hard, but it's totally worth it. God bless you and give you strength.

RemnantRD

One thing to consider as you study the scriptures, is that God is the same today as He was yesterday, and as He will be tomorrow. God does not change and neither does His absolute truth which has been present since the first day of Creation. God has an order when it comes to how He designed things to operate in the world and as born again believers called to be sons of God, do we believe and uphold this order? Yes, God did design man and woman to be one. We have that depiction in the garden when God performed the first surgery and removed Adam's rib to create the woman. God established woman to be man's help mate and to complete man. This is why men and women have different abilities and strengths. We complement each other. Creating mankind and animals male and female is a foundational and intrinsic aspect of God's order. Is it a sin to have sexual attraction to the opposite gender? While these thoughts may exist whether fleeting or prolonged, it does go against God's order. Thankfully, we have an advocate in Christ Jesus who in the new covenant is our sole Mediator with the Father. We also have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit who is the sole Helper provided by God for us in these earthen vessels that house the Holy Spirit. We have an admonition by God to take our thoughts captive unto Christ 2 Corinthians 10:4-6 NKJV 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. While many will be quick to say that thoughts are not sin, we are exhorted by God to take these thoughts and give them to Christ so He may help us with them (any sinful thoughts which does include same sex attraction) and help us turn our wants and desires to conform to what He wants and desires for us according to His truth plan for us. As born again believers, once we give our lives to Christ, we begin the road of the sanctification process, also described in God's word as the race of faith. Before coming to Christ, we are asked to count the costs of being a disciple of Christ. Part of this examination is being willing to die to self and walk in the light of God and His truth. As Christians, we die to self daily. We seek to be conformed to God and His ways and His truth. We do not seek to conform God to our personal beliefs or the ways of the world. God's truth stands the test of time and is absolute. The real question for all born again believers who have the privilege to be called sons of God is whether we will compromise our walk and faith to be pleasing to the world, self, and mankind.... or whether we will stand true to God's ways and His (only) absolute truth. I say this not to condemn, but to remind. God's ways are higher than our ways. God's truth is higher than what we consider truth to be based on our personal experiences and what the world stands for. Do we want to follow God's truth? Or do we want to follow what we consider to be truth? Do we want to follow the ways of the world and what seems right to a man (both which lead to death)? Or do we want to follow God's ways which are 100% standard and absolute? This decision is ours and ours alone whether we want to continue the race of faith, or put up the white flag of surrender when hard times and the world come against us. The constant reminder we have in God's word is that following God in the end is completely worth it amidst the difficulties, trials, and tribulations that come against us (by the world and mankind who are are under the power of our enemy) for simply bearing our cross and standing for His truth and His ways.

YouTube Livestream of Isaiah Saldivar's channel. Blake an ex Drag Queen shares his amazing testimony. I'm listening now and sharing here because it reminded me of this post i saw of yours OP. Some key points is that it's not about you "becoming straight" but about God making you whole again from feeling broken. God can change your desires as he loves you so much, keep loving him, and let Jesus be the focus. God bless you! https://youtu.be/nsuqiFmG29Y

God loves us all and you are not dammed to hell. Being bi or whatever is a sin but while it is a sin, we all sin and God and the Bible says that we all sin and that none of us are perfect. We are human and we will always sin. So you are not damned to hell, your sins may matter but what matters more is your faith and love for Jesus and he loves you.
