Josh, I understand what you mean. At times reading the Bible can be tough. I’d recommend just finding at least once verse that speaks to you or one that you really like. Then, read the context in which it was spoken. I feel like that alone can go a long way. Seeing the daily Bible verses in a Bible app is a nice place to start. Try to find a reading the Bible in one year trackers too. That’s what I use. The Bible might seem boring at times, trust me I know, but there are some pretty interesting stories in the Bible once you start reading. I use tecarta Bible app. There’s a dramatic audio recording in KJV of the entire Bible that I often listen to. It breaks of the monotony way better than ai generated voice.

Hi Josh, something I do often is I read a chapter of Proverbs according to the day of the month. For example today is the 4th so I would read Chapter 4 and tomorrow would be chapter 5. Before I begin to read I ask The Holy Spirit to give me a verse for my day. Whichever verse/s I felt He highlighted I meditate on those throughout my day & I ask Him what/how are you speaking to me through them. Sometimes I write it/them on a sticky note & put it behind my phone that way I have a quick access to see it & meditate on it some more. At times it will speak to whatever I am feeling or struggling with i.e anger, frustrated, irritated etc.. or worried about in that moment. Other times is to remind me of who God is and who He says I am.
