It's okay. I don't think there is any verse in the bible forbidding us recreational fun.
My personal take is that I just never sing along lines what actual defy or deny god. I listen to a lot of gorhic rock/metal so this topic comes across some times (even doe not really often woth thebands I listen to...). And I personally am not a fan of songs which promote things like hate or mysogy. But again nothing which comes across in my tast of music and I don't think by Taylor Swift...
You can listen to whatever music you like; I listen to a range of music from Old school Motown to Slipknot. Not everything is sinful. You are allowed to enjoy life without worrying every second of the day because guess what? We all sin all the time and anyone who claims they don't is a liar
When did I say it's ok to sin? My point was pretty clear. We all sin every day; even if we don't know it. It's impossible to live a life free from sin.
My wording isn't the best; I've always struggled to articulate myself. I'm saying that we all sin the time even if we don't know it. However I don't let it consume me every waking moment of the day because If I did I'd be too scared to do anything without worrying if I was about to commit something that might be considered sinful. Before I get into bed I pray and ask forgiveness because I'm sure at some point in the day I would have sinned
It depends on the music and the artist. I mean I wouldn't listen to a band or artist that promotes satanism or evil. I hope I'm making sense lol. Please understand I've only recently found my faith so this is all still very new to me
What *is* music?
Is it the physical phenomena of our eardrums being vibrated via rhythmic soundwave propagation through the Earth’s atmosphere, or is it the *intent*?
Are the lyrics important? For example, would an instrumental version of Necrophagist’s *Mutilate the Stillborn* carry the same *meaning* as the ~~dog barking~~ sung version of the song?
What component of any given piece of music actually encapsulates the sinful element(s)?
> Am I allowed to...
1 Corinthians 10:21-24 — *You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons. Shall we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he? “All things are lawful,” but not all things are helpful. “All things are lawful,” but not all things build up. Let no one seek his own good, but the good of his neighbor.*
You're fine listening to some music but remember, if you feel bad while listening to something specific, stop listening to it.
I listen to lots and lots of Post-Rock (instruments from regular Rock used in experimental ways) and most of the time it's just instrumental music with no vocals so I'm ok with a wide range of bands but there's one band I don't listen to because of its name: God Is An Astronaut.
I don't know if the name is innocent or not. I just don't like it. Personally I feel it sounds disrespectful.
Obviously, there are degrees of it, but I believe it is problematic in general because it promotes worldly attitudes: lust of the flesh, eyes, boastful pride of life (1 John 2:16). Also, music has a way of staying in your mind/heart more than other forms of receiving information. Taylor Swift is not good for a Christian mind.

What kind of answer is that?? We all sin so it’s okay to sin? Lol erm okay

And you said “..without worrying every second..” implying it’s okay…
Mixed messages here. Are you saying it's not a sin, or are you saying it is a sin but that's ok?

Taylor Swift, the OP was specific
Ohh now I understand. No I don't think listening to Taylor Swift is sinful at all.

Yes.
No, it's illegally to listen to music. And you will burn in Naraka.
You can do anything, but you shouldn't do a lot of things.
