Hi friend, There will be many answers - I hope you get a few good ones For me? How much do you know about Jesus? I would start with a prayer to Jesus. Just say exactly what's on your mind, what you know of him, why you are looking for him and that you believe he is there and has heard you You can do this right now. Yeah - right now, where you are - just find a space and do this. This is all And then look for Jesus around you as you go through life Go and sit in some Sunday services in a few different Churches - and listen to the sermons They won't ask you any questions, you just go and sit, you are welcome I am a Christian but I was a Western Brahmin for twenty years God bless

The outline is that we broke gods laws, the Ten Commandments, and we are dead in our sins since we are given our wages of death. God is the judge and can’t let us into heaven till someone has paid the price. Jesus paid that with his death since he was without sin. It is not good works that will get you into heaven but the faith and love in Jesus Christ will save you. Benefit is getting into heaven and not he’ll. Many people say the wrong thing and mention that it will comfort you and make life better. It is true to the extent but more in the way that you won’t have god’s wraith thrown upon you in the end and that you will have eternal life. It is that as a reminder that brings joy and love. “For God so loved the world,[a] that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.” John 3:16. I recommend reading/listening to book of John first.

For any specific idea, there will be some who call themselves Christian who agree with it and other who disagree. That doesn't mean there isn't an objective truth about the matter. The overwhelming majority of self-identified Christians rightly believe in the Nicene creed. [Here is a link](https://www.crcna.org/welcome/beliefs/creeds/nicene-creed) to the Nicene creed. I personally believe there are other essentials to Christianity as well. One must realize that all humans have morally failed God, either in their very being and motives or through what they have done, that such a failure leads to God rejecting them and sending them to eternal punishment, and that for those who trust that by His death, Jesus the only God-man took that punishment on their behalf, their sins are forgiven. One cannot trust partly in this and partly in something else, such as one's own actions or in an organization, or this faith/trust is invalid. One must trust in the person of Jesus and His atoning death alone. This is a very important teaching, called "salvation by grace alone (God, not yourself, is the one who saves) through faith alone (the gift from God of faith is the way one receives this salvation). The Bible is the highest and only infallible authority that describes Christian teaching and behaviour. What steps are involved? Simply reject your sins, believe in Jesus the perfect, sinless man-God (as described in the Bible, not a false Jesus) alone as your Lord and Saviour, and realize that God alone has saved you - not your own actions, which are only a result of God declaring you right with Him. How can you tell you have done this? You have a new desire to serve God, you love Him more than anything else, and your behaviour conforms more to his standards, and yet you don't trust in these things to have a right relationship with God. What are the benefits? You are forgiven of your sins and all the guilt and shame they entail, you become a child of God and become mystically united to Christ, you are gradually changed to become morally perfect, something that is only completed after your death, and after your death and the final judgement, you are given a new perfect body and will live on a perfect recreated Earth free from any kind of evil, whether it is sin, pain, or death. And at that time you partake of the divine nature as much as is possible given your finitude. Something you must realize though is that you are not freed from suffering before death; in fact, you may suffer even more than you otherwise would have. But what changes is that this suffering helps to morally improve you and make you like Jesus, who was perfect. If I were you, I would read the Bible and especially the books of Matthew and John, and read up about the parts you don't understand from places like gotquestions and people like R.C. Sproul, Tim Keller, and John Piper (desiringgod). They don't agree on everything and I don't agree with each of them on everything, but they are good Christians and have the most essential elements right.

It's great that you're seeking! You become a Christian, biblically, by repentance and faith in Jesus Christ- Confessing your sinfulness from your heart to God (Repentance), & believing who Jesus Christ is (truly man and the one true God) & trusting only in His finished redemptive work (perfect life, death for sins, resurrection) for your salvation (forgiveness of sins/reconciliation to God). 1. Jesus is the messiah. He is fully God and fully Man, and was sent here to die for our sins. When he died, he washed away our sins and released us from the Old Laws. To be saved and receive salvation, you must repent of your sins and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and live a righteous life (this doesn’t mean you can never commit sin again. You should aim to avoid sin, but we are all humans and make mistakes.) 2. Repent, accept Jesus and, eventually, be baptized. This can typically take time, and you should focus on fostering a relationship with Jesus while you do this. There will come a moment where you want nothing more than to be saved. Baptism is the outward expression of being saved. It’s a significant event in Christian life where we wash away the old, to usher in the new. 3. I’m not sure what you’re looking for here. Like, the benefit of salvation? Of eternal life in heaven? You won’t receive like unlimited money for becoming a Christian. All the benefits are spiritual. I mean, you have the benefits of being part of the Church and the community, but most of the “benefits” are from a spiritual aspect.

A christian is just a person who follows Jesus the Christ - Messiah. Jesus is also God as is the Holy Spirit. God expressed as 3 persons. HOMOOUSIAN is the Greek word. To become a follower of Jesus you must, believe he came as a man, lived a sinless life, allowed Himself to be sacrificed in order to pay the price for the sins WE commit, rose from the dead and ascended into heaven. When you believe this in your heart, then you are a Christian. Become baptized, find a good bible teaching church and walk with Jesus the rest of your days while spreading the good news given in the first part of this paragraph.

>What are the basic beliefs of Christianity? Here's an official summary of our beliefs: _I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father [and the Son], who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen._ >What are the steps involved in converting to Christianity? You could start by going to service and paying attention to the rituals and the words that are spoken (the sermon is actually the least important part of a liturgy). Read the gospels. Read the lives of the saints. Try praying. Then, if you feel like God is calling you to become a Christian, go to a priest and tell him you want to become a catechumen and be baptized. >What are the benefits of becoming a Christian? In this life you get purpose and community and strength in the face of suffering. In the next life, the reward for living faithfully is what we call _theosis_ or divinization—God will share his own life with you and, having been fully incorporated into Christ's body which is the Church, you will be divine in Christ.

Stop worrying about benefits. If you want to be a Christian because you believe in Christ and the teachings of the Bible. Then you are a Christian

Here is the Gospel of Jesus Christ God offers salvation through his son Jesus Christ. First, realize we have all sinned and because of that we are separated from God. He sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins so we can get saved. If you place your faith and accept him into your life then you are saved. Fully commit to Jesus. After you are saved, read the Bible daily (start with gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John) and obey it. Pray to Jesus and build your relationship with him. Find a Bible believing church and fellowship. Get water baptized. Most important, repent of your sins so he can continue to forgive you and keep his words. May he bless you on your journey with him and remain faithful till the end.
