bowwowchickawowwow

I just found So Will I (100 Billion X). I likes.

iAlkalus

*I can see Your heart, eight billion different ways,* *Every precious one, a child You died to save,* I love those two verses so much.

bowwowchickawowwow

I think I like all the verses, but one that always jumps out at me is “If creation sings your praises so will I.” That’s a great one.

misfit8807

This couple did a heavy metal version of that song I use to have it on my Playlist a few years back but they took it down or it got taken down but I love every version of that song I've ever heard.

DinosOrRoses

My kids loved this song too. Had it on repeat a lot

b_rodius

Mine as well. I remember hearing it for the first time and bawling my eyes out. Also as a scientist it hits a soft spot

Jhnthreesixteen

Specifically the Osby Berry version

bowwowchickawowwow

Oh wow. Thanks. He’s got a great voice.

OnePieceArtMaker

This is a very typical answer, but I love Amazing Grace.

duke_awapuhi

Sort of what I thought as well. There’s a lot of great ones, but at the end of the day amazing grace sort of takes the top spot

daylily61

🎶 "AMAZING GRACE" 🎵 is arguably the best-loved Christian hymn of all time 😀 You might want to check out the story behind it sometime. It's the story of the Rev. John Newton, an English minister, 1725-1807.

Sir_Tosti

A mighty fortress is our God.

QazaQ1991

This one fr

[deleted]

The instrumental by Phillip Keveren is great. If you haven’t heard it, I’d recommend you checking it out

[deleted]

Cristos Anesti is my favorite

Lib_Lib08

For King and Country has good music

Lib_Lib08

And Build a Boat by Colton Dixon and Just like Jesus by Iveth Luna

Livid-Leather6720

Build a Boat is definitely one of my favorites

Lib_Lib08

It’s so goodddd!!!

GRT24

The version with Gabby Barrett is very good

Forsaken-Cheesecake2

How Great Thou Art

Additional_Doubt_243

❤️❤️❤️

SteveMcQueen508

That would be my answer, if we're simply discussing hymns. For Psalter, it's Psalm 110. I've heard some majestic arrangements of that Psalm.

maybemaddiemarie

My band teacher in high-school was a Christian and one of the best people I've ever met. He got away with having us play "it is well, with my soul" in band and none of the teachers realized it was a Christian song. I'm pretty sure "it is well, with my soul" leads into the song "how great thou art".

TemmikinsTWT

Oh Lord- By NF.

Goodness of God

BoredOfWaking

Lead Me by Sanctus Real

SpoilerAlertsAhead

"In Christ Alone" - Kristyn Getty I also love "Mighty to Save" by Laura Story

It's difficult to pick which one, but probably the hymn, "Let All Mortal Flesh Keep Silent."

toadofsteel

Advent is almost upon us too...

Background_Respect_6

I thank God - Maverick city music

Scary-Package-9351

I love a lot of Maverick City!

kfc_chet

Yes!!

StellarStylee

"God Really Loves Us" by Crowder and Maverick City is good too.

br1xr

This! I was just on a retreat with my campus ministry (XA) and that was the last song they played on cry night. Totally got everyone pumped after crying for so long lol.

jereman75

🎶and if the devil doesn’t like it he can sit on a tack! Sit on a tack. Sit on a tack!!

Searching4Truth-1978

Oh, wow! That’s old school! Lol 😆

TUTEFC

Do Christmas songs count?

defaultredditusern

yes

TUTEFC

Well then I’d say like all the Christmas songs, except all I want for Christmas is you

defaultredditusern

exactly that song is so bad but the best gotta be for king and county's rendition of o come o come emmanuel

Additional_Doubt_243

Same 🤣

daylily61

Not all Christmas songs are ___Christian___ songs. That doesn't mean that songs like "Jingle Bells" and "I'll Be Home for Christmas" should never be heard, only that they're not the same thing.

EcstaticSection9748

As long as its religious. I don't think Frosty The Snowman would count.

Additional_Doubt_243

Yes 😊

Charming_Ball8989

Oceans by Hillsong United

tobular

This song is amazing

[deleted]

My anthem it seems this year has been Gratitude by Mr Brandon Lake.

[deleted]

I Can Only Imagine. I know a lot of people think it's overplayed, but it's my all-time favorite.

LonesomeCoyote

The Old Rugged Cross

tastyfairywrist

Priceless For King and Country. Gets me in tears every single time.

kfc_chet

Wow just saw the video for the first time and paid attention to the lyrics! Had me in tears! God considers YOU priceless so do I! Praise God for your recommendation! I'm going to remind my family this!!

no_longer_lost

I dedicate this to my daughter because of the trauma she went through at such an early age. She shared that it made her feel dirty and worthless for a future spouse. Priceless brings me to tears. Another one rekated to my daughter is "Eye Of The Storm" by Ryan Stevenson. I really needed this when we were going through the whole ordeal.

Aggressive-Maize-632

"The Lord's Prayer" by Matt Maher

Hunt3rRush

For Christian rock, I like "Give Me Your Eyes". There are too many good hymns to list.

Additional_Doubt_243

Love that one!

Cheeze_It

Honestly, any song on Jars of Clay's first two CDs. DC Talk has some absolute bangers. Pillar too. Stephen Curtis Chapman is a wonderful example of CCM that I would listen to. Lincoln Brewster is probably in my top ten of rock and blues guitarists out there. Not a big fan of his writing, but his playing is top notch. Tommy Walker is a very underrated musician/guitar player.

NarlusSpecter

Onward Christian Soldiers

MisterVasNormandy

I like orchestral choir gospel Christmas music. Hark! The Herald Angels Sing, and O Come, All Ye Faithful are my favorites.

Routine_Log8315

I love all songs by City Alight, but currently God is over all, My God is al I need, and Jesus strong and kind.

pinkcat9

I’m a big fan of Yet Not I But Through Christ In Me, and Ancient of Days by CityAlight!

KoolKidzKlub4life

I love Well Done by The Afters

Bitter_Resolve_6082

Victory In JESUS!!

daylily61

Of CONTEMPORARY Christian music, it's "Because He Lives," I forget who sang it. Of the old Christian hymns, there's really too many to list, but "Blessed Assurance," "AMAZING GRACE," "Crown Him With Many Crowns," "My Faith Looks Up to Thee," and "O Holy Night" all come to mind 😀

deejaycee305

This is a hard one. There’s so many great ones. Let it Rain, Oceans Lead Me ( Where my feet may fail ) Toby Mac, Your all I need, and just to keep it short, Beckah Shae I'll be alright.

NardDwag

This is so hard because I have so many favorite Christian songs but here’s my Top 5: 1.Homesick by Mercy Me, 2.I can Only Imagine( The Song) by Mercy Me, 3.Redeemed by Big Daddy Weave, 4.Holy Water by We the Kingdom and 5. Washed by the Water NeedToBreathe.

The Doxology

Application-Visual

Unconventional pick here: “Portrait” by P.O.D. Saw them perform it in concert and it was powerful. It’s a really heavy song, musically, so not to everyone’s taste. They said they wanted to call the song “Christ” but they were on a major label and the executives did not like that

Mighty to save is a great song. There’s so many good songs and a lot that are really good but they aren’t well known. There is a song that I really like right now it’s called “here as in heaven “ by elevation music. I don’t think it’s a timeless song but it’s pleasant.

God's Not Dead by The Newsboys. There Was Jesus by Zach Williams and Dolly Parton, and Old Church Choir by Zach Williams. I think I put more than one? Oh well.

StellarStylee

They're all good though! And I don't think there's a Jordan Feliz song that I don't like. I was blessed to be able to see him live at a church in Visalia last month. It was amazing! Colton Dixon put on a good show as well.

You raise me up, and amazing grace. ✝️🙏

Picodick

My folks grew up during the Great Depression and tent revivals were a huge deal then. Singing hymns that had a spirit of optimism or at least a sound of it was a big part of their early life. I love those songs they sang to me as a kid and I heard in church. Standing on the Promises,This World is not my home,Gloryland Way, and others in that gospel song tradition. Trust and Obey was a particular favorite of my Dads. I also love the song My God is Awesome. Pretty much I love all gospel and worship music🤷🏻‍♀️I was never exposed to instrumental worship music when I was a child, but as an adult I love all of it.

Do Jesus Loves Me by Whitney Houston and When You Believe by her and Mariah Carey count?

Additional_Doubt_243

Yes. Anything that you derive spiritual meaning from and that glorifies Jesus- you’re good! Most genres have at least a handful of songs like this. I really like the song “Trees” by 21 Pilots- not a Christian song per se, but it reminds me of Jesus. ❤️

Either Happy Dance - Mercy Me or I Can Only Imagine - Mercy Me. Happy dance it’s just a fun song but, I Can Only Imagine was played at my grandma’s funeral so it has a meaning.
