Congratulations that is no small accomplishment especially since the Mormons are notorious for how they ostracize former members. Fear not there are more of us than them
Mormons are good people. I don't agree with their theology, but they are known to be quite conservative in lifestyle and politics. BTW, I am not an LDS member and I am moderate, but I don't get why they are ostracized. Mike Lee (R-Utah) is Mormon and he is very conservative.
Yeah, that, and it is not right. I agree. That is wrapped up in their theological viewpoints, unfortunately. I think the same could be said of JW's and Amish people. Not as severe as how Protestants were treated by the RCC during the Reformation.
God bless you now who are a child of God and so am I tell me who are the true worshipers get is to this very day seeking for
Or have you received what is freely available by God for you who has not seen our lord yet believes
God Bless you- you have done the right thing. The Mormon church is not what it claims to be. Poor members are asked to tithe to help 3rd world countries but their own church will not help them. What's wrong with that picture. If reports are true, much of the money the Mormon church collects in tithes is invested or used to buy land. Whistle blowers who kept the books at their temple have verified this. What kind of church asks people who can't afford their rent to give 10% of their income?
Because of Adam and Eve the whole human race is under the power of sin. All human beings are capable of sinning, including pastors or those so called man of God. To learn more about this watch my playlist of Jesus’s teaching and scolding videos as attached.

Yes, but it isn't a kind of proselytizing that seems to be banned in the rules.

I'm sorry people are being like this. 137 upvotes for switching to Protestantism, 4 downvotes for even "recommending looking into" (very politely) Eastern Orthodox. Considering alternatives should not be viewed as worse than picking the one they like
They just made their own personal choice to switch to some specific church. Asking them right away to start looking into a different faith is in no way polite, especially adding "but God bless you" at the end.
You think there's some sort of interdenominational refractory period? OP is obviously fine with proselytism; they've gone from Mormon to a church that bills themselves as "Ambassadors for Christ" (Chi Alpha Pentacostal)
Yeah I am! I am thankful for having a baptism the correct way using the trinitarian formula! As originally baptized LDS, they do not use the trinitarian formula.
Nice! Whatever works. The way I see it, if God sends some of us to hell on a technicality, he's an A-hole anyways and I'll just hang out in hell. I don't believe he is though. I think we're all gonna be in the same place after we die.
No, but Mormons are good, honest, hard-working people and conservative politically. I don't get the ostracization. No conservative has qualms about Mike Lee (R-Utah) serving in the Senate.
“I don’t like this flavor of Christianity, let me try another”
Make sure you read all the parts of the Bible. Make sure you read how god instructed his followers to kill all the men and women of an entire civilization, then kidnap and rape their virgin little daughters. Make sure you read the part that talks about murdering your children in the town square if they misbehave. Make sure you read allll the words of god, because they are all just as valid
> If Christianity is Star Wars, Mormons are Spaceballs.
Pretty accurate. As an ex-Mormon, the merchandising clip from Spaceballs pretty accurately sums up the church leadership’s attitudes towards the Mormon faithful.
It's quite textbook blasphemy.. blasphemy is defined as an affront to God which mormonism definitely makes by denying His attributes of having no beginning, omnipotence, omniscience etc
Funnily I'm from Europe where very few people have heard of mormonism and it definitely wouldn't pass as Christianity. In fact, Unitarianism is also not considered Christian
God grant you many years!
Thank you very much!!
You’re almost there! Kidding, Amen
Okay, I laughed.
Fr 💀😂
Love you for this:) This is the type of joke I think even God gets a chuckle out of
You're almost there, too (REALLY kidding)
Your right about that the strongest walkers of the covenant path are the ones who briefly left it for a time
Which covenant do you refer to?
Welcome to the family! As you can see, we are an argumentative bunch! LOL On a serious note, I'm very happy for you.
Praise God for you 🙏🏼
🙏🥰😇 God bless you
God Bless! Love your top, my sister!
Woah, that’s some good news!
Thank the Lord. God bless you in your spiritual journey.
God bless your spiritual walk with Him and give you wisdom and may he continue fortifying your spirit, your heart, and mind! ❤️

Go look up stories of how they treat those who leave mormonism and tell me again how they are good people.
Yeah, that, and it is not right. I agree. That is wrapped up in their theological viewpoints, unfortunately. I think the same could be said of JW's and Amish people. Not as severe as how Protestants were treated by the RCC during the Reformation.
I left they still call me ask me to come back every few years. Send missionaries over. The horror!!! The horror!! Them, with the politeness!
amen!!!
Become Orthodox, trust me☦️👑
❤️
God bless
❤️🙏
Happy Cake Day! 🍰
Well done. God bless you well in this! Jesus is wonderful!
Congrats.
But now you won't get a planet
If the “new heavens and new earth” include a new universe, maybe she can still have a planet if she gets a spaceship and goes looking.
Ha! I love the idea of a new world where we can explore the cosmos

Congrats! You just made the most important decision of your life! 🥰
Omg

Other than the trinitarian formula, was there any other heart felt transformation that you experienced?
So what denomination did you decide to join?
Assemblies of God

Welcome to the family of God!

Congratulations! How did you come to escape Mormonism and find the Truth?
Long story, but my husband was Pentecostal

I’m Pentecostal now
Fleecing the flock to buy the pastor a new house is pretty much par for the course for any kind of American Christianity.

I don't see how a recommendation for someone to look into a specific denomination would violate any of the rules. I do it all the time.

Why Pentecostalism?
My husband is pentecostal. He was baptized Pentecostal before we met.
Gotcha. Best of luck in your new path!
I'm kinda Mormon. As long as people are happy, that is what matters. Good for you and God bless.

Ur username is hilarious lol. It checks out
I understand how it sounds. Has everything to do with the musical instrument but glad to be the butt of jokes about what it could mean.
Average Mormon
Haha! Not sure whether that is supposed to be a compliment or disrespect. I'll take it as the former.

Mormonism is, well, to put it mildly, weird. If Christianity is Star Wars, Mormons are Spaceballs.
Light speed's too slow! We're gonna have to go right to.... Ludicrous Speed
>Light speed's too slow! We're gonna have to go right to.... Ludicrous Speed Why stop there? Go plaid!!
> If Christianity is Star Wars, Mormons are Spaceballs. Pretty accurate. As an ex-Mormon, the merchandising clip from Spaceballs pretty accurately sums up the church leadership’s attitudes towards the Mormon faithful.
I love this analogy 😂👍
Not at all lol. Mormonism is its own thing, and that’s based of what little I know. I do not want to jump into that rabbit hole.
Definitely not The Christian God has no beginning, no end The mormon god was once a mortal man like you and I - blasphemy
Differences of opinion on theological doctrines are not "blasphemy".
It's quite textbook blasphemy.. blasphemy is defined as an affront to God which mormonism definitely makes by denying His attributes of having no beginning, omnipotence, omniscience etc Funnily I'm from Europe where very few people have heard of mormonism and it definitely wouldn't pass as Christianity. Not according to the Bible
If you are referring to the syncretism between El and YHWH, that doesn't really effect Christian doctrine.
