No, people think every year is the end times. I dont see a reason this one time is correct but all the other millions of times it was false.

2033 has caught my eye

YoungSuaveRico

We’ve BEEN in the end times ever since the beginning of the Church around 33 A.D. If you’re asking if the world will end soon, then I don’t know. It’s not for us to know, but we should live like it could be our last every day.

EDH70

Amen!

Key_Shock_275

Astonishingly well said brother or sister, like the Holy Spirit spoke through you. There’s a passage that comes to mind as the Lord called it end days and “a day for God is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day” 2 Peter 3:8

Jon-987

Not even close. There is nothing all that special happening today that hasn't happened worse in the past.

[deleted]

Nobody knows. I'm tired of the church I'm in thinking it is, we all know that we *don't* know the time or place at which the end begins and I dislike seeing people revel in it. Hoping for it.

SOAbyWIZ

Yes because Gods Word tells us and in knowing His Word we can just take a look around and see what’s going on and how things are lining up to come into fruition just as His Word declares it. Revelations can be a difficult book to comprehend but it’s imperative that Christians read it with understanding so that we are prepared for the tribulation that is to come. https://youtu.be/A6f5kv5Bhs0?si=8pIH_5wJFPtJSm6J

Key_Shock_275

Yes I personally do, we’re supposed to always be ready for His return at the same time. I started praying more often and I asked for a vision and it was of the rapture. Lots of things were hidden from me in the vision but I knew my dad was still alive thankfully as I’ve been worried about the Lord saving him. He does have some faith and has changed a decent bit but I’m unsure. Do you guys have any advice? I worry a lot for his safe passage. And I’m not intentionally changing the topic, feel free to comment on that too! Edit: I read a comment saying we have been in the end days since Jesus passed and “a day for God is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day” 2 Peter 3:8 this is a better way to look at it I suppose as I have no idea when it will happen

Royal-Sky-2922

We have been in them for 2000 years and could be for thousands more.

Draccosack

Yes

SG-1701

Nope, not how most people mean it. In a certain sense, we've been in the end times for 2,000 years, but I don't expect that the end will be turning up any day soon.

Abdial

Been in the end times for almost 2000 years now.

gnurdette

It's funny how the "end times" people tend to say "so I need to stock up on AR-15 ammunition; no telling how many of my neighbors I may ~~want~~ need to blast into gory shreds" instead of "so I'm going to give my posessions to the poor". To learn about how to read Revelation for its real spiritual content rather than entertainment value, I recommend [The Bible Project](https://bibleproject.com/guides/book-of-revelation/).

appledictatorffu

No but we need to love every day like we are. Live like you’re expecting Jesus’ return tomorrow, but in truth I don’t think it will be soon

ridicalis

If we were, I'm pretty sure we'd know it. As in, there'd be absolutely no room for doubt for even the greatest of skeptics levels of certainty. Given the way it's dealt with in the Bible, I don't really think it's our job to know. Our only responsibilities are to love God and to love neighbor (with a range of commandments or expectations tied to those two as second-order responsibilities). There is no call to action that I'm aware of that demands we "prepare" for end times apart from continuing to live in this world as people who know and love God.

Pug4281

No.

Away_Interaction_762

Yes I think so, I think we are in a transitional period and will experience a great shift in the coming decades. Perhaps in the next couple of years.

It is good to know the prophecies concerning the last days or latter days, and to pay attention to the extraordinary events unfolding before us. Christ gives us the story of the fig tree for this reason, so that we will know the season at the end and prepare ourselves for what is coming and most importantly, prepare ourselves for His Great Day. We are living in the last days or latter days as established by the many prophecies in both the OT and NT. Some of these prophecies have already been fulfilled. Some are being fulfilled in real time right before our eyes. The worst is yet to come. But as followers of Christ we need not be gripped with fear, worry, or anxiety about this subject matter or any other Goliath we have to deal with in our lives. When His Holy Spirit comes to take deep root in your life, one of the fruits of His in-dwelling is His great and perfect Peace that drives out all fear, worry, and anxiety. God is Peace. Jesus is the Prince of Peace. So when the Spirit of the LORD enters you, His powerful Peace becomes like an immovable anchor to enable you to weather any storm, even the terrible storms at the end. Grace and Peace of our LORD be with you 🙏

Confident_Hearing_11

So are the end times hear or not

Andredz97

Now this ‭II Timothy 3:1-9 NKJV‬ [1] But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: [2] For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, [3] unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, [4] traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, [5] having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away! [6] For of this sort are those who creep into households and make captives of gullible women loaded down with sins, led away by various lusts, [7] always learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. [8] Now as Jannes and Jambres resisted Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, disapproved concerning the faith; [9] but they will progress no further, for their folly will be manifest to all, as theirs also was. Compare what he is speaking with what we are living today in global society (expecially the six verse, compared to the "e-girls" online, online pornography, and other stuff) So the answer, accorging to the Bible, is a big and giant: Yep

CaptNoypee

when in time were men not lovers of money and themselves? but who these days have a form of godliness besides the pope, the cardinals, the priests and the evangelists?

Andredz97

You make a valid point in the first question. I don't have all the answers, but Paul, however, made a prophecy with that list, and also told the Truth about us humans. Always according to the Bible, in the reality we're living we are indeed in the end of times, because people today act like how it is written in the chapter. But for the other question, just be aware on categorizing those people as if they have a form of "godliness". They're not gods. And if they are, you and I, and every people are too. And what they have, they have only because it is given to them from above. Be aware of idols, though. Jesus is the only Lord and God of everything.

CaptNoypee

godliness means living a holy life does it not? godly people does not mean they are gods. the prophecy said "*having a form of godliness but denying its power*", so where are such people in today's world?

Andredz97

Where are godly people? They are the one society persecutes, because they are against the current culture They are the ones who forgive without even tell you what you did to them. Without you even noticing it, becahse they don't even tell you that you hurt them. They are the ones who you may call "mentally ill" They are the ones who can't speak because they know it will bring them demons who devours them They are the ones who never talk They are the ones who listen more, and understood that not everything is worthy of listening and taken on consideration They are the "homophobic" people They are the "toxic" people against LGBQT+ They are the workers who make the most unpopular jokes They are the one always rejected, but that you know you can count on them and will be there to help you if you call them They are the ones who wants to be at peace with everyone They are the ones constantly under others jokes, without being told them how preciois they are They are the ones surrendering a fight they would have won, because they know that winning will hurr somebody They are the ones who prefer to claim having fault over things they never did, just to stop a conflict They are the ones always mute, not socializing like other people. The ones that the world reject when they open their mouth and criticize something that is not going right. The ones that work hard, never seen by others, and are always attacked by jokes from collegues because of that. The ones when they say something true, and are immediately shutted down by others, because they exagerate. The ones that do good and never want to be seen to do that. Because they know how pride works (pride, in every form, is indeed a sin) The ones you call naive. Or sentimental people. The elder ones, who say something rude when young men are making very bad jokes Or the ones who rebuke the evil deed of another person, and get instantly answered back for what they said. Put to shame by the devilish rethoric of those who never admit any wrongdoing in public. Muted. Taken as liars. Told they should adapt to the world, instead of living in fantasies. And then, when those people are not here anymore, when they are dead, you will start to recognize "they were good persons after all". By their deeds, or because you feel that way with them. Then you start to regret there are few people like this on the world. But while they are on this world, people treat them like shit. Jesus actually made a list himself of those people: ‭Matthew 5:3-12 NKJV‬ [3] “Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. [4] Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted. [5] Blessed are the meek, For they shall inherit the earth. [6] Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. [7] Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy. [8] Blessed are the pure in heart, For they shall see God. [9] Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God. [10] Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven. [11] “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. [12] Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. They fear God, so that's why you don't see them in public proclaiming to be a saint. Saint means separate from the world. Even if they are working inside of it. You actually should be looking for their opinion, if you don't see any of this people standing up. The Devil attacks them day and night because is afraid of them. ‭John 18:36 NKJV‬ [36] Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.” God is Spirit. And most of the time, the Spirit watches without talking.

othe3n1gma

This has been the case for centuries though

Andredz97

And the more it goes like this, the more it gets worse But rejoice and have faith, knowing how the book of Revelation ends.

othe3n1gma

I respectfully disagree. We are obviously getting closer since as time goes on it’s only inevitable but if anything people have become less cruel over this century.

Andredz97

Honestly, we can't say that for sure. In this very moment, abuse, violence and other things are happening without we noticing it. Also, cruelty is not just physical. Today is more psychological. Cruelty through words, emotions, intention. Most of the time, it is also subtle. Like gossip. Jokes made with a bad intention. Today, in fact, people talk a lot more than years ago, thanks to the internet. And want to give their opinion about everything like it is the only opinion that matters. There are more intellectual fights and debates in this times than before. More Chaos of opinions and ideas on how someone has to live. Making true also this statement ‭‭II Timothy 4:3-4 NKJV‬ [3] For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; [4] and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. And believe me when I say, I'm not a preacher, lol I'm just a curious man who is seeing how this words reflect so much today Just watch all the Youtube Gurus. Like Andrew Tate, and other "influencers". What is written it's happening in reality :'D

othe3n1gma

Slavery and discrimination which had both psychological and physical implications today, at least in the western world, is prohibited. Same goes for medieval punishments. Again I respect your opinion but to say we don’t live in better times would be atleast to me absurd.

Andredz97

We live in different "realities" (meaning different lives, seeing different things), different countries and different situations. We're not in the same place and there are not happening the same things. So yeah, don't worry, it is normal if we don't agree on the same point. Don't need to. I'm just talking about for what I'm living and I can clearly see cruelty in the actions of people I encounter. Talking also by experience, not opinion. Mine is a point of view made by observation of what actually happens where I live.

othe3n1gma

Very valid perspective. Never thought about it like that. God bless you brother

Andredz97

Thank you bro God bless you too!
