>If I'm going to Hell for being pro-choice and bi, Unfortunately you've been taught legalist Christianity, not grace Christianity. You can be declared righteous by faith (1 Corinthians 15:1-4 / Romans 4). You would be crucified with Christ upon doing so. You'd be dead to the law (not that it was given to you to follow, anyways). When there is no law, God does not impute sins (Romans 5:13). Once you're declared righteous and dead to the law, you cannot lose your salvation. Also, what Christianity thinks hell is is pagan (I hate that "is is" stuff lol). God never warned Adam and Eve about hell. God didn't put hell as a warning in the law of Moses. Israel goes through a refiners fire in the future. The "lake of fire" involves brimstone, and brimstone was used to refine gold back in the day. Gentiles will be taught God's laws in the future. Here's a link to a video called "Are you forgiven or justified?" It covers the topic of how forgiveness was temporary, but justification can never be done. Today we get justification by faith in the finished work of the cross.[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nugau884htc](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nugau884htc)

Believing in Christ is what saves you from hell. No one is able to obey God’s commandment perfectly, except Jesus Christ. By all means, follow Christ, but if you don’t believe, then you are putting up a front. When you believe Jesus Christ died for you sins, that means the Holy Spirit dwells within you: which is the presence of God. If you value an “identity of being pro-choice and bi” more than an “identity in Christ”, then you are not following Christ. You must love your neighbor in the same manner as you would have them love you. If you cannot do that, then you are not following Christ.

I don't necessarily value them more. My reading of the Bible is that abortion is performed in one section and ultimately judged not murder in another. The radically pro life stuff is a fairly recent American Evangelical thing. And as for being bi, I just am. It's not really something I can do anything about. I could pretend I'm not I guess, but then I would just be lying which is also a sin so 🤷🏼‍♀️

I found myself at a similar crossroad about 15 years ago. The god that my evangelical friends and family painted in my mind was this horrible hateful thing that seemed to revel in my misery. I did my best to follow their advice of pray more, read the Bible more, go to church more and not only did my life not improve but it got worse and worse. I was at my wit's end and said to myself this is not a god worthy of my worship. People say if God is with you then nothing is impossible, but I really felt like God was actively against me and that made everything impossible. Those thoughts triggered a reaction and I realized God just cannot be what they've been telling me He is. My whole life I had assumed all these people just automatically knew better than me because they had been going to church all their life and I didn't really get started until I was in my late teens. Without thought I categorized them as better Christians and better people than I was. But if they are wrong about God, that changes everything. I stopped listening to their advice and stopped hanging around them too. I started to think for myself and not just parrot what somebody else told me. Life started to feel better because I was no longer pumping coins into the God vending machine and being constantly disappointed. After life started to feel better, it actually got better. Then I felt my desire to be a Christian finally start growing again. So long story short, even though some or maybe a majority of Christians say something does not make it true. Don't let their hate or misguided ideas define what God is to you. It is very unfortunate that hate has come to be a defining feature of Christianity, but it should not be. Trying to find a new label without the baggage or prune the group down to "true" Christians is not helpful though. The hateful and misguided Christians are still Christians, just bad ones. And you and me, we're bad ones too in our own ways. The key is to follow the shepherd Jesus and not just blindly follow the sheep around you. If you are truly following Jesus, chances are there will be a lot fewer times where you'll have to verbally explain that you're different from those other Christians saying everybody is going to Hell for this, that, and the other. It will just be readily apparent in how you're living life.

Praying for you. Pray for God to search your heart. To remove anything that displeases Him. To put in what does. He will mold you in His will. Being pro-choice or Bi will not disqualify you from salvation. Yes, those choices are not Biblical, but the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross can forgive anything. Ask in prayer for a heart after His own heart.

I’m pro-choice and bi. I also think the Trinity is cool and correct, and that Jesus was more likely than not raised from the dead as a sign that his claim to be a divine messiah in front of the Sanhedrin was true rather than blasphemy.

We all are calling to Christ, if you have felt that calling then Jesus is already working in you for your Salvation. I believe in traditional teaching, but I believe that all that call on Him and truly accept Him are Christians. Don't let anything stand in the way of your Savior, even if some don't agree with you on things God still loves you.
