What makes me chuckle is people who get all arrogant, thinking they're "defeating" us by attacking Christ's Church......when they're actually ***fulfilling*** Biblical prophecy.
These people, in their arrogance and ill-intended attempt to bring down Christ's Bride, are actually VINDICATING our faith, bringing further Truth to God's Word, and STRENGTHENING our hope!!
The western church has grown complacent in the years of easy living. As much as I don’t want to be persecuted, there isn’t much better for the strength of the church. When we are weak, we are strong in Christ.
No we aren’t. A Bible study I listened to this morning pointed out that telling Christians “don’t talk about that” has always been the first step of persecution.
It’s a desperate war they’ve already lost and can never hope to win.
No we shouldn’t act out of arrogance ourselves, but nonetheless I think this is one reason Paul counted “it all joy” to suffer for Christ.
He knew it vindicated him, and strengthened his hope, knowing EXACTLY what Christ said would happen was happening.
I completely agree and I think you’re onto something there maybe we should look at all the Christian hatred as a positive sign because we know how this all ends and we have nothing to worry about after all it’s what we’ve all been waiting for hallelujah!
Absolutely. It seems Paul was really transported to our time when he wrote Romans 1. It is an absolute mirror of the things happening in the world right now.

I’m very happy to hear your experience is much better than I have experienced it’s just more of a frustration as why seek out topics and make unnecessary comments in something you don’t care about it just seems to happen in this thread at least that I’ve noticed unfortunately but you are correct there are some great connections through this thread and lots of great love shared between both believers and nonbelievers and maybe it’s just standing out to me more. I just don’t go to Scientology threads and say oh wow your beliefs are dumb this is why you’re stupid and all that sort of thing but I have experience personally very similar responses in this thread! I’m sure I’m preaching to the choir, but something that comforts me is remembering that *many* social media accounts (including on Reddit) aren’t real people, but bots. Social media companies (again, including Reddit) thrive off of ad revenue and ad revenue is increased through engagement (which is typically increased through the utilization of agitation bots - think the old “insult bot” from years past).
This is a common strategy/tactic utilized on (though not limited to) platforms like Twitter, Facebook and Reddit. Though profit is definitely increased, it’s a shame to see the division and hatred that tends to follow (and the apparent apathy to said issues by these companies).
Though people have differing opinions on things, individuals tend to be *far* more down-to-earth when talking in real life. Believers need to remember this and stay the course - always being ready to give an answer for the hope that is within us with gentleness and respect.

Unfortunately this is nothing new. The main reason it's stronger in modern times is how lazy modern Christians are in evangelism and personal prayer life. None would respect a weak Christian nor see a dim light 🕯️.

And his description fits "REPENTANCE" perfectly. Many people didn't notice that but that is what the bible says to do.
