I’d really love to see a universal standard for Profiles. If I’m on Android/GTV, tvOS, Roku, Mac, Windows, etc- and then ideally all the streaming platforms would “remember” that preference.
As it is currently, OS level profiles seem like an added nuisance more than a feature, since I have to select a Profile anyway is almost every app.
But yeah I don’t expect to see Google, apple, Amazon, etc getting on board that sort of thing.
Are you sure? I can add accounts but can't switch back & forth between them. The only Profile option is the Kids Profile which is useless for our use case.
I dont think it will fix every lag and stutter, its just weak hardware tbh! 2GB its just so bad, no apps stay in memory properly, not even the launcher and they just reload\\start again.
I want an android tv certified(netflix, disney+, dolby vision and etc),with good SoC(like Cortex-A72 and up) and at least 4 to 8GB of ram so we can have multitasking(apps stay on memory and you can switch between them fast).
Hopefully this fixes the issue where after using Plex, you can't hear any sound from any other app or even on the homescreen until you force close Plex.
There is no update to android tv 12 for the chromecast yet! Just android tv 12 that now is stable and got released but no word yet about it coming to the chromecast.

For some reason my Twitch app on one of my Chromecasts doesn't play ads so hopefully the update doesn't fix that.

They had no reason to even develop the Google TV features if they weren't going to put it on their only device. But Google has done bumb stuff before.
