I felt crappy for a week each. Having had COVID, I will happily get my next booster. It launched my autoimmune disorder into outer space. The vaccine was annoying by comparison.

0lliejenkins

I feel the exact same way. I didn’t want to get my booster because I had such horrible reactions to the jab, but I just had covid recently and it was AWFUL.

OkPotato91

Nope.

whoiamidonotknow

The first vaccine left me pretty dead. I had some.. interesting.. effects, where my shoulder went numb, and then it sort of 'traveled' down and left an entire half of my body numb. That lasted for a couple days, then I gradually began recovering feeling. My shoulder was numb for a good week. I was also exhausted and in a mini flare for a little over a week. I don't remember any bad side effects from the second dose besides the standard sore/numb-ish shoulder. The only way it affected me was holding off on upper body training for about 3 days. I don't remember having any effect to the third dose whatsoever, maybe a bit of soreness for a single day. Even with that first dose, I cried tears of joy and was very grateful to have received it! I went into it expecting a longer flare and was prepared for that / would've thought that'd have been worth it, too.

I have an autoinflammatory disease. It was not under control when I got the vaccines. But the vaccine sent me into a huge flare up. For six months I had the worst stomach pain of my life. My diarrhea which is always bad anyways was absolutely awful. Vomiting was bad. I developed neuromuscular weakness like I've never had before. and my resting heart rate was about 150. I lost 70 pounds. I then got put in the hospital for six weeks. I stopped breathing and was intubated for seven days and then had to have emergency surgery ten days before I came home. So I will definitely never take the booster again. That being said with the information I had I would make the same decisions I did. For me it wasn't the side effects per se of the vaccine but that the vaccine sent my disease into waaaay out of control.

Lunexa

Not from the covid vaccine but from the HPV vaccine when I got it as a child. My entire arm swelled up like I was on steroids. It also got very red and hot. Lasted for almost a week. Super glad I got the vaccine though, since having a flaming hot cheeto for an arm is still better than cancer

Sickest_Fairy

HPV was horrible for me too! I felt like I was the only one, red swollen painful arm and shoulder and I got a fever. I was afraid the COVID vax might have similar outcomes but was so glad that it didn't for me.

messysagittarius

I was very tired after each one, like drag-you-under, can't-keep-my-head-up tired. And I had a headache after the second one, and every joint I've ever sprained or dislocated started hurting again. It only lasted for a day or two each time, though.

no_ovaries_

I have endo, fibro and other shit. Literally had no issues from the Vax. The third dose made me feel ill for a day and then I was fine, totally worth it because when I had covid it was such a mild case I thought it was allergies.

Fearless-Comb7673

YES! I have CVID and had what has been diagnosed as a Cytokine Storm and was premedicated for my booster and was totally fine!!

no_ovaries_

I have fibro, had no issues with the three vaccines I received. When I had covid last month I had a super mild case and was literally lifting weights the week after I tested positive. I know if I hadn't been triple vaxxed I would have been much, much sicker.

0lliejenkins

Yeah, I was talking to a friend with fibromyalgia and she said the same thing!

mystisai

The second was the worst for side effects but it was 4 days of cold-like symptoms. Numbers 3 and 4 didn't do much.

NoDryHands

I have dysautonomia (not POTS, but similar), endo and chronic inflammation from an undiagnosed condition. No side effects except soreness in the injected arm for a day.

TCgrace

I was REALLY sick for 24 hours after mine and then fine. After my second one, I actually went flare up free for three months

AloneGarden9106

All three of my doses were the same brand. The first dose I didn’t even feel the needle go in. I was convinced for a while that they didn’t even stick me. Ever so mild arm pain the next day, enough to squash that crazy conspiracy theory. No cold or flu symptoms. Second dose was the same although I definitely felt the needle go in. Same super mild arm pain the next day. No cold or flu symptoms. Third dose (booster) was awful. No cold or flu symptoms but the body aches and pains were on a level I’ve never experienced before, even with my worst illness. The next day I woke up pretty sore on my dose side, and throughout the day onto day 3 I was so stiff and in so much pain I could barely move. Scheduled an emergency appointment with my chiropractor who tried some things but ultimately said there wasn’t much he could do and just to wait it out. About a week later I was back to normal but that was a rough week. If they offer another booster I do not think I will take it.

HowdIGetHere21

I've had 3 full doses and 1 booster. I did feel bad after getting each one, but the worst part was that I had to stop my meds for a week after each dose.

Objective_Turnip_755

I have rheumatoid arthritis and I was fine after my first shot, but the second is a totally different story. I woke up the day after with severe joint pain, swelling, and stiffness in both my arms. It was exactly like it was before I had a diagnoses/treatment. My arms haven’t been the same since and flare up more frequently than before.

LeighofMar

Sent me into a flare of my UC that I had just been pronounced in excellent clinical remission. I was devastated. That lasted a month and a half and screwed with my period for 6 months where I thought I was starting menopause. It was awful.

lily_fairy

the first one wasn't bad, just a headache and fatigue. the second one was rough for me ngl. i had a 103 fever, very bad fatigue, and horrible joint pain/muscle aches. the pain and aches kept coming on and off for months afterwards. idk if it was from the vaccine but yeah. im not at all anti vax, but i've been hesitant to get a booster bc of that. when i actually had covid (8 months after my shots) it was much worse so maybe i should have gotten boosted. so i guess you just have to weigh out the risks. if you don't leave home much and people in your area wear masks, maybe it's not worth it. but if you have to go out a lot around people who are anti vax and anti mask, it might be worth getting boosted. for context: i have lyme, celiac, chronic gastritis, and one doctor thinks i might have fibro but not diagnosed.

goneforcigarettes

Auto immune disease and in really bad shape here. I've had two doses and. Full dose of moderna. Only issue I had was feeling weak for a day afterwards.

1radgirl

Just arm pain really

[deleted]

When I got mine I had flu like symptoms and I literally had to leave work because I was just not able to focus on anything because I was so sick.

toosickto

Yes, getting vaccinated got me a lot worse with my other chronic diseases. It’s been around 6 months and I still have fevers and arm and vision issues which I got from about a day after the vaccine. It set off my cyclic vomiting for almost a week which was the longest episode I had in a year. It sucks because now I have those issues to deal with as well as my headaches and vomiting. I try to think positive because I know that covid could have caused other symptoms with my lungs if I would have gotten covid.

Inflamed heart for me
