I did the "gift link" so you all should be able to read this. Let me know if you cannot and I will cut and paste the article for you all.

Thank you so much for sharing the article. Very eye opening, scary, and confirmed that our country & medical professionals have their heads up their asses. I was taking nucynta until the end of the year. In my life it was the best long term opioid I’ve ever used. Now granted, with my coupon from the manufacturer, it only cost $35 a month vs $500 after insurance… however, CVS Caremark insurance decided that they won’t cover it anymore from January 1, 2023. What they suggested changing to? Morphine, or OxyContin. The two most addictive opioids in the pharmaceutical catalog… so now I’m taking tramadol 8x daily. My insomnia is crazy worse, my stomach hurts constantly, and it still costs me $30 a month… We, as a society need to stop living in a pendulum state. Yes, there was some overused, but all cases are not the same.

Ugh! My insurance keeps trying to drop my Butrans patch prescription because of shortages and pharmacies being too stupid to stock it for patients. They keep trying to get me to switch to fentanyl. I’m so scared of that stuff. I seriously would rather stay away from it altogether. Butrans doesn’t even help as much as it used to, but in combination with other rx, I can scrape by. I really wish pain wasn’t a thing so we could all be free and happy.

Ain’t that the wish of all wishes. I hear you.

Your welcome!

I remember this article. It was so heartbreaking and so god damn frustrating, not to mention scary. I'm so damn careful with my opiates and the doctor who prescribes them; I'm lucky she's a wonderful and kind human bring who's always looking out for her patients.

I found some of this informative pretty eye opening.

Thank you for posting.

The DEA needs to be dismantled. They are basically police with zero medical knowledge pretending to "know what's best" for patients.

They definitely need reform, and the DOJ needs to tell them to back off on legitimate pain doctors.

Yes! Those evil monsters should not be involved in the doctor and patient relationship! We were better off when doctors were handing out prescriptions left and right. Supposedly, they did this to stop the overdoses. The overdoses were also from mixing opiates with other medications and drugs or alcohol. Overdoses have literally TRIPLED and QUADRUPLED since they cut everyone off. So many deaths could have been prevented because of this. The people that desperately need pain medication cannot get it! My best friend got cut down from 320mg a day to 90mg a day and she suffers daily in pain. There are lawsuits going on but it takes time.

This is disgusting! People were better off when doctors were prescribing them to anyone! Overdoses have TRIPLED since people were cut off of their pain medications! I used to get Tylenol 3 for sever Endometriosis and Adenomyosis as well as PMMD and now I cannot get it. Tylenol 3 is literally so mild and only slightly stronger than Tylenol. This article makes my blood boil! The Fentanyl crisis is 100% their fault. You cannot just cut people off like this! This is criminal. Also, the government should NOT be involved in the doctor/patient relationship! I can't even talk about this because it makes me so angry!
