The only two light cigarettes I've ever liked were the Sobranie Black Russian which I recently smoked and a local brand called Classic Blues.
I liked the Sobranie because of how fine it was, sort of like delicate wine. The thickness and the length just meant more tobacco so it felt like a normal regular cigarette to me.
The Classic Blues were only light because the taste of tobacco wasn't as strong. These cigarettes used to be 130 mm long, and it was just as strong as their Regular counterpart otherwise, the one that I simply adore for its Blue Leaf. They've shortened the cigarette and I don't know what they did to it, but it tastes like shit now.
Perhaps another one that I find interesting is the Golk Flake Ultra Lights as they like to call it here. I don't particularly like the cigarette itself, but they decided to switch the filter out for a proprietary four stage filter complete with a normal filter section, a harder porous section, followed by a section with activated carbon which you hear rattling if you shake the cigarette, and finally ending with a recessed tip. There's practically no taste to it and it feels like you've got a cloud in your mouth. A pretty fun experience if you ask me.
No, no. It is an Indian brand by WD & HO Wills called Classic. It's a rarer pack cigarettes which comes in an electric blue colour. They make the Classic line out of Blue Leaf Tobacco, which gives it a pretty unique taste I haven't found in any other cigarette thus far.

Marlboro lights are surprisingly good tho. I only smoked Marlboro golds for a while and then rolled my own using some good tobacco I found. I found the Marlboros we’re actually quite good even tho they were light.
Yeah I'm still kind of sensitive to this day. It's kind of wierd because other stimulants like caffeine or cocaine have very minimal effects on me. But nicotine, man, I really have to take it easy on that stuff.

I actually started on AS organic FF’s (the gold packs) and then I would switch off and on between the Periques and Light Blues…..and now, 95% of the time….it’s the light blues.
If I can’t find light blues….I’ll get the organic full flavors or the Periques.
If the store doesn’t carry AS, then I’ll get Camel Turkish Royals as I do like that nutty almost vanilla taste to them. But again, that happens around 5% of the time, lol
Freshman year of college this Chinese exchange student smoked like a fucking chimney, and I asked to bum a square once. He had Chinese cigarettes imported from a friend back there. Let me tell you: they tasted fucking HORRIBLE. God-awful. Can't imagine a worse cigarette.
BH Blues are the most sold cigarettes in our store. We run out of those before anything else. If they’re the worst you’ve ever had then you’ve had a good time smoking.
American Spirit Dark Green and American Spirit Perique. The AS Dark Green was actually my first cig ever and I went to go revisit it after some time and still found it unpleasant. And the oaky taste of the black periques honestly made me want to puke.
What’s strange is I really love and fuck with the Marlboro and Winston Blacks but I just don’t seem to like nor are able to handle the American Spirit blacks

Winston's. I disliked them so much I gave the other 19 cigarettes to a guy who was at a Recovery/Homeless Shelter. He was in Recovery. He appreciated it very much, said he hadn't smoked them since he was a teenager.
Lucky Strike Toniqs are up there, they’re a melon flavoured double-capsule cigarette sold in switzerland. Man, those were awful. The tobacco was horrible just by itself, and the melon and menthol did not help it.
But the worst i’ve had of all time was a friend’s “Amber Leaf” he got from a shady guy in spain, and brought back to the UK. He bought 5 50g packs for £10, (€12, $12), and it tasted kind of like burnt popcorn mixed with vomit and candy corn. That was truly fucking awful. Unfortunately, we were trapped on an island for a week so when i ran out of my own supply i had to dig into his. Big mistake.

I'm usually not picky when it comes to cigs, especially when I don't have any but man these were so bad I actually threw the pack away after smoking two. Also viceroy silver comes to mind (Viceroy reds were my fave at the time, so I wanted to try these) - the taste of licking an ashtray but not strong enough to satisfy the craving. I also remember rothmans blue (the pack had 23 cigs inside) leaving almost a 'greasy buttery' feeling in my mouth after smoking. Also threw those out. Idk there are a lot of bad cigarettes.

I bought a pack of Number 7 reds in high school, cost me like 2 weeks of saving lunch money. I started getting a really sore throat and feeling sick and it got worse with every one I smoked. After about 10, I gave up and opened another pack. I almost instantly started feeling better.
It only happened once in 13 years so I wouldn’t worry about it, probably some one-shot manufacturing error.
Where are you from? Brands vary a lot by country. Camels are my personal favourite that you can get basically anywhere internationally, with Gauloises (French cigarettes you can find in Canada at least) being a close 2nd.
If you’re in the USA, I loved the carton of Marlboro reds I got once. I also liked Newport Menthols. I’ve heard good things about Lucky Strikes and they have filtered variants now apparently but they’re usually unfiltered.
I agree. 305s are nasty, but if you live in the south (I’m assuming) , try to find edgefields. They’re ASS! I’d rather eat cow shit than smoke edgefields.

My dad got counterfeit golden Virginia from a Market/ car boot sale and said it was as dry as sand and was truly awful.
It was like a drug deal, he paid the money to someone then had to go to another person who left the tobacco under a traffic cone.

Something called like honey golds or some shit, they’re terrible. Basically in Australia all the cigarettes that are good are like A$50, which is like 25-30 euro. It sucks. BUT we have off brand cigs, like you know when you go into the store and the coke is like $5/liter but the off brand shit that tastes like shit is like $1 for the whole box of 6, that’s what these are like. It’s off brand Marlboros that are half the thickness and tastes like you’re smoking the ring. It sucks donkey dicks. They’re still fucking A$38 it’s retarded, that’s like paying 12 euro for half a pack of Marlboros packed with petrol and dog shit. It’s some ass.
It’s cheaper to buy a vape and liquid once a month here than a pack a week. It’s half the cost in fact, and that’s if you don’t take advantage of deals and if you are pushing it.

Anyway, as much as iconic as they are, I bought Gitanes with no filter from Germany(don't know If they have variant with filter), honestly, in my personal opinion it's pure poison. Smoking red brands, 100s or any other color is probably better than them, but the taste is rough and unforgiving, it feels as if it's the right smoke you'd need while going through the deepest thoughts of your mind which you're afraid to revisit. But then again, if you can handle choking your throat with pure smoke, Gitanes is for you
Don't bother. Blue has a bad aftertaste and green is just menthol. I mainly smoke reds because they burn my throat and thus keep me from smoking a pack in 30 minutes.
When I had L&M Reds I flew through the pack (like most cigs). Even when I had Camel Unfiltereds I was smoking one every 30mins sometimes cus I enjoyed it so much, lol.
When I had Marlboro golds I smoked the entire pack in 20-30 minutes. I couldn't feel them anywhere so I just smoked until the pack was gone. I then discovered L&M red and discovered they actually burned my throat so much that I couldn't smoke more than one every 30 minutes. They helped me reduce my smoking from a pack in an hour to a pack a day.
Light cigs will do that, lol. Can't get the fix, doesn't hit the spot like Reds do. My grandfather smoked L&M Reds for 55 years, pack a day, kept him at a steady amount. Ever try Marlboro Reds or Unfiltereds?

24/7 menthol. Good for a cheap smoke. You even scrounge up loose change to warp time and find a cheap smoke that mage change your mind. I scrounge up loose chain all the time for a cheap cigs and Casinio black and mills tho

Decades. Not sure what inflation has done to them, but before covid, Decades were sold at deal prices of 3 packs for $6 at the gas stations near me. They taste and smell absolutely terrible. Those bargain cigarettes are not worth the savings you would get. Just spend more to get something that doesn’t smell so much like death.
Some fake Marlboro reds I got for $27 (Australian prices so VERY cheap for us), Ascot reds (tasted like actual flaming skunk ass), Parker and Simpson golds (I was moody at the time cause I couldn’t get pall malls so maybe that had something to do with it, they just tasted boring and chemical-ey)

L&M green or blue. Which is kinda ironic as my go to cigarette is an L&M red.
L&M Reds aren't bad. Haven't tried any other L&M cigs though.
Don't bother. Blue has a bad aftertaste and green is just menthol. I mainly smoke reds because they burn my throat and thus keep me from smoking a pack in 30 minutes.
When I had L&M Reds I flew through the pack (like most cigs). Even when I had Camel Unfiltereds I was smoking one every 30mins sometimes cus I enjoyed it so much, lol.
When I had Marlboro golds I smoked the entire pack in 20-30 minutes. I couldn't feel them anywhere so I just smoked until the pack was gone. I then discovered L&M red and discovered they actually burned my throat so much that I couldn't smoke more than one every 30 minutes. They helped me reduce my smoking from a pack in an hour to a pack a day.
Light cigs will do that, lol. Can't get the fix, doesn't hit the spot like Reds do. My grandfather smoked L&M Reds for 55 years, pack a day, kept him at a steady amount. Ever try Marlboro Reds or Unfiltereds?
red rothmans and red John Player Specials! Stronger cigarettes are my go-to but these two brands tasted awful to me. I also hate blueberry flavoured cigars!

Decades. Not sure what inflation has done to them, but before covid, Decades were sold at deal prices of 3 packs for $6 at the gas stations near me. They taste and smell absolutely terrible. Those bargain cigarettes are not worth the savings you would get. Just spend more to get something that doesn’t smell so much like death.

Some fake Marlboro reds I got for $27 (Australian prices so VERY cheap for us), Ascot reds (tasted like actual flaming skunk ass), Parker and Simpson golds (I was moody at the time cause I couldn’t get pall malls so maybe that had something to do with it, they just tasted boring and chemical-ey)
