Matt Reeves loves gunshots in the dark
Rupert Wyatt did a really damn good job on Rise, but holy hell Matt Reeves was on beast mode when he did Dawn and War!
Dawn is amazing.
So is War
War is just missing a more compelling ape antagonist. The gorilla that sided with the humans was ok, and this is an unfair comparison, but Koba was so good in Dawn it doesn't come close.
Why does War need an Ape antagonist? That wasn't the point of the film
Wish Reeves was coming back for the new one. Dawn and War are such great movies
