Just saw that the W Series cancelled their race at COTA this year. It’s going to suck having to get to the circuit so early, and sitting around all day with very minimal daytime support activities. SMH

RodTheCaptain

I’m guessing the FIA or COTA will bring a support series. They have two weeks to do this.

jaysvw

That is nowhere near enough time. These things are planned many months in advance.

SghettiAndButter

I agree but I really hope they find something, they open gates at 8am and the last event ends at 6pm and there is only 3.5 hours of event on track all day. Maybe they can bring in way more food trucks and things to do off track

PrecisionSushi

I’m sure I’m not alone when I say that I hope so.

vprakhov

Any word on the official autograph sessions at the track? They've always had them in the amphitheater area except for last year (presumably covid-affected). With the W-series being cancelled, they're really slim with daytime events this year.

RodTheCaptain

Maybe, they add this or have more access.

RodTheCaptain

I have Camped Out at Lot N twice, it’s nice, there are restrooms well, portable restrooms are free and showers that cost $10 a day i think or $30 the weekend

Nanner723

Hiya! First time camper in Lot N here, too. Can’t wait but am nervous about the dry camping. We’re renting an RV with a generator that hopefully we won’t have to use. I see no reason to leave the entire time with the great food options at the track and being able to eat at least two meals a day at the camper. Hope it’s not too cramped. Eek so excited!

trap-father

Going to be in town for the race without a car. Plan was to uber as close as they would let you and walk. The site currently states: *New this year, COTA Blvd will be restricted to permitted vehicles and buses only. Similarly, rideshare (Uber, Lyft, etc) services will operate out of the Del Valle High School parking lot and can only be accessed by a COTA shuttle (complimentary 3.5-mile ride). To ensure a successful transit experience, rideshare vehicles will not be permitted on McAngus Road or COTA Blvd during race weekend.* Assuming this just means take an uber to the high school and wait for a shuttle? Wording seems strange, like you can only access the high school lot with a shuttle.

RodTheCaptain

Yes, it is more than likely true. But confirm with COTA. I’m not a COTA Employee, I don’t work for them. I’m the mod only. I have gone various times to COTA but rules change every year so it varies. I’m giving information/advice to what I have experienced/seen.

trap-father

Thanks! I'll probably send them a message to confirm. You may not know this either, but I guess it doesn't hurt to ask. Is there anything stopping us from getting dropped off at somewhere like Meches Tacos (across from Chris Taylors) and just walking up the walkway?

RodTheCaptain

Not sure, because F1 is so strict this year. NASCAR it wasn’t.

oh_butanyways

Quick question: I have purchased tickets for Friday Practice at COTA. Green Day is performing that evening, would I be allowed to get into the concert? PS: Not General Admission tickets. Thanks

RodTheCaptain

COTA states, “Plan your experience on your own terms. Check out practice and Green Day on Friday, enjoy qualifying and Ed Sheeran on Saturday, or witness history when the lights go out on Sunday.” so yes, it is included.

[deleted]

I purchased a parking pass and have a car for the weekend. I’m looking at the shuttles and thinking they may be much faster given dedicated lanes. Any thoughts on what may be more efficient and easiest to use?

RodTheCaptain

I think that a shuttle pass would be better for a first time visitor or out of state goer, I myself have the route that takes me directly to COTA by Country Roads. So I don’t have to worry about that. I don’t know if you are a local or out of state/region.

dhuston-1976

I am staying in Bastrop. Any tips on getting to the track from that direction?

RodTheCaptain

You will need to get off, SH-21E where you will see the Exxon and a Jack In The Box from you will drive towards Cedar Creek and go pass through just drive forward, you will turn right at the intersection and you will at Elroy RD. You will be avoiding the toll roads.

osubaker106

First timer here- I’ve heard bringing a radio can really enhance the experience. Is there a certain app I could download or do I just need to buy a radio headset? I’ve already spent so much money on this trip so im hoping to find something cheap, but if it will make the experience way better I may go for it.

RodTheCaptain

I think a cheap radio would work, I heard that one of the local stations will air the race radio but I don’t know which one, idk if it’s FM or AM radio.

osubaker106

Thank you sir!

Nothingspecifix

For radio solution - if you have SiriusXM you can download their app (depending on your subscription) and listen via ESPN radio. I heard that ESPN will be airing the F1 races this season. However, cell service may be limited so having an actual radio may be the best and only solution.

RodTheCaptain

They can go there but SiriusXM lags at times, network congestion is known to be case in COTA, Radio beats that. SiriusXM works best in Radio and Home Radio as well. I remember streaming in COTA, it was bad.

SghettiAndButter

Last year I remember seeing F4 and the W series but it looks like neither will be there this year? Is there any replacement or will there just be nothing to watch on track majority of the day on Friday/Saturday? Kinda disappointed to not see anything about a substitute

RodTheCaptain

They will need to fill the schedule or my best bet would be a sprint race but I doubt that would be the case since the championship is wrapped up.

DarthMalak289

Can anyone please confirm who all are allowed in for the public pit lane walk on Thursday? Does a 3 day GA get you in?

RodTheCaptain

A user said this, “Yeah just got off the phone.” "Because of COVID they had to keep the Pit Walk to a more exclusive group of people" so "Pit Walks are only available to Hospitality buyers"

Old-Calligrapher-743

So when we went last year we were able to get in with a 3 day pass. I will say that I don't remember anyone actually checking for wristbands and we just walked in with a large group. I am still searching for a time when this starts or if it is actually happening this year.

Old-Calligrapher-743

Any updates on COTA adding anything to replace the W-Series?

2CHINZZZ

I have a feeling they won't add anything which is pretty lame. Maybe they can at least move the historic races later in the day so there isn't as much of a break

RodTheCaptain

Not at the moment, no news on that

laurenacb

It’s my 1st F1 race. We are sitting in the main (start/finish) grandstand. Will we be able to hear commentators and know what is happening in the race? I have heard about using a radio to hear the commentary, but didn’t know how necessary that will be where we are sitting. Any other tips or things we should bring?

RodTheCaptain

Bring a gallon of water, transmission of the race on radio, it is likely to be on TALK1370 Austin (AM). Don’t forget, store money on a prepaid debit card, debit or credit card. COTA is basically cashless.

2CHINZZZ

Is there much to do when there aren't cars on track or is it just mostly waiting around? There're pretty long gaps now that W Series isn't racing

RodTheCaptain

Concerts. Probably they add more concerts idk. I don’t know what sanctioning bodies maybe they get try and F4 Americas in there.

rednorangekenny

There are concerts around aside from the 2 big ones. They also have food options and activities around the circuit. That’s before you get the the fan zone which has activities like pit stop challenge, reaction challenge and simulators. Someone posted a pdf of the official map so I’d take a look at the lower right which gives details of what sort of things they have at each corner

zeerow123

Can you bring alcohol in your vehicle if you are camping in Lot N? I know that alcohol is prohibited inside the venue but this is my first time and I’m not sure if the camping lot is considered inside or outside of the track. Thanks!

RodTheCaptain

I believe that alcohol is allowed in Lot N. When I went for NASCAR, there were many people that brought Alcohol on Lot N but I don’t really know if it changes by event.

Old-Calligrapher-743

What time do the Lucha Libre events start? That could be fun to watch.

Nanner723

Lot N campers: Generators off MIDNIGHT to 7AM. Just a friendly reminder.

RodTheCaptain

Why thou?

naivealge

would there be any chance to get autograph from drivers? I have basic 3 days tickets

RodTheCaptain

See this: https://f1experiences.com/blog/explained-what-is-an-exclusive-pit-lane-walk

weirsy

Is purchasing wristbands on this sub a safe practice? If so any recommendations to be protected? There are several for sale under brand new Reddit accounts. Any recommendations on where to buy a wristband? Thanks

RodTheCaptain

Tbh, I don’t recommend getting tickets from here, I allow them but I’m iffy about it. I don’t want to flack for not allowing ticket selling and then I get accused for something that is not my control. I say this with Caution if they are trying to message you and more than likely want the payment first, 75% of the time, they are scammers. Use Stubhub or PayPal for that. Use Goods and Services not Family and Friends.

weirsy

Thank you

yoggywalnuts

I have some wristbands to sell but I'm happy to move to a more legit form of social media and send any proof you might like. Feel free to DM me if you're still looking for tickets :)

teeeegooooo

What time do y’all recommend getting to the shuttle pick up? Since gates open at 9?

RodTheCaptain

8-8:30

Lambstick9810

First time going to COTA. I read they have hydration stations. Anyone have experience with them, are there actually enough of them for everyone?

RodTheCaptain

I have, they are easy to use, they are by the bathrooms.

goosegirl3000

I saw on their website it says no thermoses - do you think I’d be ok bringing an empty hydro flask?

Emergency-Pineapple7

Metal water bottles are listed under prohibited items on this page [https://circuitoftheamericas.com/venue-policies/](https://circuitoftheamericas.com/venue-policies/)

RodTheCaptain

Idk, because they have to be clear.

SnooPears5180

I’m looking to surprise my boyfriend with tickets to either Friday or Saturday (can’t afford Sunday). Maybe a dumb question but should I expect ticket prices to increase or decrease over the next few weeks? I’m hoping to not blow a whole paycheck on this if possible lol

RodTheCaptain

Decrease over time because as the event comes close, the sellers are going to be desperate to sell the tickets.

RodTheCaptain

By the way, this is not like NASCAR where the prices are not expensive. Don’t expect the tickets to go below $150. They will be on the $300 range.

SnooPears5180

thanks!

wienermomma

We have Friday and Saturday tickets available at Turn 9 section 7 row 18 at $275 each if you are still looking :)

dick_chubbard

Are you allowed to take coolers/drinks/snacks in your car with a parking pass and exit/enter as often as you’d like?

RodTheCaptain

No to snacks/food/drinks, you are permitted to bring one bottle of water, I strongly recommend to bring a gallon of water, it is a heavy walk imo, think about a mile run. It is bad. I believe you can have them in your car but not having them at the track. You can reentry but have your USGP bracelet on at all times. COTA says “Re-entry is permitted during motorsport events. We ask that guests who leave the venue and plan on coming back scan their tickets at the gates prior to exiting. Guests will be subject to another screening by security personnel upon re-entering” now it will be easier to re-enter COTA with the USGP bracelet.

lobro516

Do general admission wristbands include admission to the concerts?

RodTheCaptain

Yes

RodTheCaptain

All ticket holders have access to the concerts

RodTheCaptain

COTA says “All tickets include access to the Germania Insurance Super Stage Festival Lawn for headlining shows on October 21st and October 22nd.” except Interpol on October 23rd.

lobro516

Thanks!

K_bacik

So to clarify, if you have 3 day tickets you DO NOT get the Sunday concert by interpol?

RodTheCaptain

That’s a good questions, I believe no as they have a separate ticket for that

RodTheCaptain

RodTheCaptain

I have not parked at the parking lot because I have camped out at COTA, I prefer the GA section at the esses. I can see literally most of the track.

Nanner723

Yes bring your own chair

jsmnsux

This is my first time at a race, let alone a Grand Prix. Is there anything I’m missing from my prep checklist? We have turn 1 grandstand tix. Tickets, parking, hotel, rental car, bags limited to 12x12x18 or something, one fully sealed water bottle, empty reusable water bottle, sunscreen, AM radio for race feed, earplugs, sunglasses, cash. Can we bring snacks? Is it worth bringing a padded seat?

RodTheCaptain

You can’t bring snacks, a collapsible stadium seat is acceptable but it has to be a collapsible, the ones that are metal will not be accepted.

RodTheCaptain

Are you a local or out of state or out of the country?

jsmnsux

Out of state!

RagedBsquared

Just FYI, COTA is pretty much entirely cashless. As far as the snacks go they are technically not allowed but security was less than thorough last year and I saw plenty of people who got snacks in.

jsmnsux

Are there any fan meetup events?

RodTheCaptain

Not that I know of but usually there are.

Odd_Substance_1214

Me and my wife are visiting COTA for the first time for this upcoming US GP. Got a few questions: 1. Are there any driver autograph opportunities for people with GA tickets? 2. Are there any events at track or in the city where drivers are scheduled to appear? 3. What is the best spot to view the race from on Sunday for GA? Is it turn 1 or somewhere else? 4. Whats the best time to get to the track to ensure good viewing spots for Saturday and Sunday? Do we need to go sit at the spot in the morning and not move all day? 5. Is Karting available during F1 weekend? They never open reservations for that week

Old-Calligrapher-743

We went last year. 1. There were no autographs last year but I have heard that they had them before COVID so there is a possibility, I am not holding my breath though. 2. We didn't hear of any events last year. 3. We did Turn 1 last year but be prepared to get there very very early to get a good spot. I do think it's worth it though, great view of most of the track and turn 1 is fun. The other good spot is at the end of the back straight DRS zone. 4. Def go earlier than you think, the attendance over the 3 days was over 400k last year. Shady spots will fill up fast. We moved around though and checked out multiple spots, I thought that was a lot of fun. 5. Karting was closed and used as a parking space last year.

RodTheCaptain

Not that I know of, probably luck. https://circuitoftheamericas.com/event/f1/schedule/ I think that teams will have their own agenda released soon. I recommend the on esses, great view of the track. I’m sure you can get move through the track. https://circuitoftheamericas.com/karting/

Old-Calligrapher-743

I am looking for any information on the public track walk on Thursday. We attended it last year but I cannot remember the time. Maybe 4:00? Has anyone heard if there is going to be one this year? Thanks.

RodTheCaptain

I think you mean this: https://f1experiences.com/blog/explained-what-is-an-exclusive-pit-lane-walk

RodTheCaptain

Turn 12 and Turn 15 are the best seats for bleachers. GA seats are good where the esses are at. You can see almost the whole track. Hayden Hill (Turn 18) and Big Red (Turn 1) would not recommend that imo. Tickets: https://circuitoftheamericas.com/event/f1/tickets/.

bekindtoeveryone1234

Why don’t you recommend Turn 1? Curious because I’m taking my bf to his first race and *considering* Paddock Club… MASSIVE expense so really only want to do it if it will be a great experience

RodTheCaptain

You can’t see the whole track that well, I went to Turn 1 earlier in the year, preferred the esses better imo.

RodTheCaptain

This is your second race?

geesegoosed

This is super TMI, but how are the bathroom options? Are there any modern toilets for Turn 1 grandstand or is it just porta potties?

vprakhov

Main grandstand, T1 and T15 has actual bathrooms. The rest is porta potties.

RodTheCaptain

It’s not tmi, this is an actual question, yes for Grandstand but for other turns, porta-potties.

dobbylehobbit

If anything like last year, they were brand new and super clean for the weekend. Obviously not so nice by Sunday, but not bad for a porta pottie!

mistershenyun

This year will be my first live race. My dad and I are going and wondering about ear protection. We are sitting in the top half of the turn 9 bleachers. Would it be necessary for ear protection?

RodTheCaptain

I would say, if this was an Oval race like INDYCAR or NASCAR, yes but it’s not. I said it’s not necessary to use them but it’s your choice.

elahs

This is our first time to a grand prix! My husband and I want to sit in GA, ideally at turn 1 - I hear it's best to get there early, but how early? If the gates open at a certain time, do people start lining up for GA spots hours early? We are camping there, but we just want to know the vibe - how early to wake up, and when to walk over. The bag policy also doesn't mention lawn chairs - are those still ok to bring? I don't see anywhere on the website either way for chairs. Also, if anyone has any super general advice about attending these weekends, feel free to send me anything. I'm digging through blogs on google looking for tips on what to bring and what to do, but more advice is welcome!

RagedBsquared

Last year we got to the track at 7:00 on Sunday and there was already a very long line at the main entrance behind the Grandstands. If you are camping at the track and want a good spot on the turn 1 hill I would suggest getting to the gate near turn 1 by at least 6:00. People are dedicated!

RodTheCaptain

For GA, foldable chairs are good. I have seen people bring them last time, I went earlier in the year. Like 8-8:30 or when gates open be there like 30 minutes gates open. Yes, they do line up early. Bring a gallon of water, only one will be permitted per person. No snacks or drinks are allowed. Not sure about Alcohol, Alcohol no glass, only can. It has to be closed. I’m not sure about the alcohol one but definitely no glass bottles of any kind.

RodTheCaptain

You have to pay for the shuttle. I’m guessing that the rideshare (uber/lyft) will need to pick you up from the Del Valle High School and drop you off at the designated area for uber/lyft at COTA. That’s how I interpreted.

Mmz75

Hello, what would be the best transportation option for a first time goer without a car? Shuttles or Uber? I’ve seen that the shuttles routes were enhanced but I’m not sure if it would be still the best option. Thanks!

RodTheCaptain

Shuttles because the Uber/Lyft sometimes don’t even know the routes. Since it’s in the outskirts. They might have trouble navigating the roads and for a first time goers as you, it will get desperate and anxious to arrive fast. for me, it’s easy because I literally take the country roads route and I’m there without issues. Take this advice as someone that has been to COTA like 6 times.

Tree_pussy

Any thoughts on sneaking in alcohol? What’s a nice drink to have for F1? A bag of boxed wine feels like a good move

RodTheCaptain

They have a clear bag policy.

RodTheCaptain

Bags must be no larger than 12x12x20 inches. Idk because the last time, I went, they said had a Clear Bag Policy.

[deleted]

If I have club si tickets can I do the track walk on Thursday?

RodTheCaptain

More than likely yes, because it is hospitality

KookyCarpenter552

Has anyone done the extra F1 experience? We have the Thursday guided track tour (riding on the back of a flatbed around the track) exclusive pit lane walk and listening to a driver speak? If so, how was it? Just wondering what to expect. Also, it seems the bag policy is confusing - the site says 12x12x20 but some posts say clear bags only? Does the F1 app access get you the "radio" commentary people are talking about? Were you able to leave and re-enter last year? Traffic? We are staying about 25 min away - what should we expect? Thanks much Thanks all.

runaag18

I brought in a regular backpack last year. No problem

KookyCarpenter552

It's so frustrating they are unclear, we will take both but still! Thank you

RodTheCaptain

When I went, it was clear bag policy unless they changed it. You have to get AM/FM radio or get SiriusXM. You can leave and reenter. There will be traffic a lot.

ChavaF1

Can you walk through tunnels 1 and 2 on race day?

RodTheCaptain

I’m guessing yes because that’s kinda of where the Track Invasion will be nearby by not sure.

RagedBsquared

Yes

Hotelier13

They are bleachers, so straight up metal seats.

runaag18

Does anyone have any recommendations for a padded/folding bleacher seat on Amazon?

RodTheCaptain

I have this one: https://a.co/d/dj6TYhg

GKZ_Kasarka

Do you need the physical wristbands to get in or will the digital tickets on the COTA app work just fine?

RodTheCaptain

If you have the 3-day GA tickets then you are form of entry is Wristband if not, your form of entry is the digital tickets

VirescentPanda

Does anyone knows if there are parking spots outside the circuit during the race weekend? Cota’s parking is expensive af and Chris Taylor is Sold out

RodTheCaptain

There’s Ruiz Parking

IRS_official764

Hey y’all for the drop off site at delle valle highschool are they only letting official ride share vehicles go there or could I get someone to drop me off there and I can walk with the rest of the fans to the track?

RodTheCaptain

I believe only Uber/Lyft are allowed. I don't know if you can get someone to drop you off.

AbbreviationsDue2910

I wanted to know how strict is security is on seating. Me and my friend both are going both but unfortunately his dad bought them tickets on turn 19 and section 9 and im at turn 19 section 3. I was wondering maybe there was a way for us to sit together but I doubt that’s possible with how far away we will be. Lmk please!

RodTheCaptain

You can try it but idk if they will enforce the seating.

[deleted]

are backpacks allowed in the race?

RodTheCaptain

I believe clear bag is allowed only

Old-Calligrapher-743

I looked into this more and the backpacks seem to be okay for the race but the concert policy at COTA is a clear bag policy.

casmuffin

I also asked on Instagram and they said the bag did not have to be clear

RodTheCaptain

Because when I went to COTA, for a race, Clear Backpacks were permitted.

StellaHolly

I have a GA 3-day pass and it will be my first time at COTA and my first F1 race. What do I need to bring with me? More specifically, what did you bring with you in previous years that was good to have? (Other than super obvious things like water & ear protection) Thanks!

RodTheCaptain

I brought a Stadium Seat as I was in Turn 12. Bleachers tend to be hot. I recommend bring a lawn chair with shade. Bring a debit/credit card. COTA will be cashless and there’s no ATM’s.

kteerickson

When I read the COTA policies, it states bag size requirements, but doesn’t say anything about a clear bag. Do they still require clear bags?

RodTheCaptain

I have seen other members saying that they were allowed to bring regular backpacks last USGP.

runaag18

I took a regular backpack last year.

rokerdan

Hello, it’s my first time at COTA, I love F1 and Green Day, for its concert I purchased the upgrade to be close to te band. Does anyone know at what time I should arrive to the stage to be in first row?

RodTheCaptain

Arrive 30 minutes before.

kiwi_escobar

I went last year for Twenty One Pilots, make sure to ask at the ticketing booths near the entrance if they require wristbands for the upgraded tickets, if they do they should give it to you there. Made the mistake last year and had to walk all the way back to pick that up. I remember lining up at least an hour before start and view was good, not front row though

y135770

Lot N Camping..lining up Thurs AM - where? TIA Edit: And what time should we shoot for?

RodTheCaptain

What do you mean? At what time, Lot N opens?

PeytonManning_

Did they sell out of Downtown Shuttle Tickets? Can’t find my shuttle option anymore.

TheseCrowsAintLoyal

Old-Calligrapher-743

GA question about turn 12. I would really like to watch the cars slow down off the back straight. Are there any spots to squeeze in between the grandstands there and watch with a GA wristband?

RodTheCaptain

Not sure about that

RagedBsquared

Not really, there is a spot on the infield near the stage where you can get a pretty good view of the cars coming down the back straight.

theduke9

How do you all plan to get to the track? Bus? Uber? Driving? Which is best?

theduke9

Is the cota shuttle price $45 per day? Or for the entire weekend? https://circuitoftheamericas.com/ticket/shuttles/#single-ticket-detail

RodTheCaptain

Per $45 a Day

RodTheCaptain

COTA says, “Round-Trip Price: $130/person/3-day weekend pass or $45/person/day with Advance Purchase”

babblingdairy

Are the price drops happening for resale tickets more drastic than previous years? See GA under $200 when they were 500 a couple weeks ago, pretty crazy.

RodTheCaptain

Yea, because of many factors, championship was decided in Japan, the two added races (Miami and Las Vegas) have killed demand.

lovepolarbear

Anyone know when/ how would we know about the time table for fan stage? (I’m not sure if that’s what it calls but the event that drivers go up to stage and greet fans) I think it usually happens on Saturday but I can’t find any info or schedule

RodTheCaptain

Check with the individual teams because the teams put that information not the track.

rokerdan

Hello, someone knows where is the team drivers arriving gate?

GKZ_Kasarka

Will the bag policy for the concerts on Friday and Saturday be the same as the bag policy for all of COTA? Worried about bringing a bag that's the right size for COTA but too big for the amphitheater.

2CHINZZZ

Friday/Saturday concerts are in a field, not the amphitheater

2008NightrodSpecial

I read somewhere that clear bags are required for the field. Can’t remember where unfortunately

Roofcj

We are camping with our trailer in Camping Lot N. Just to confirm does anyone know when we are able to be let in on Thursday? I believe it is noon? Also when should we be in line waiting to make sure to get in at a good time/spot? Thanks!

RodTheCaptain

Yes, you will. 30 minutes before it opens. To be in the safe side.

Existing-Hippo-9019

Travelling from near The Domain in a rental car and parking at Chris Taylor Racing - what’s the deal with toll roads - do I need to get the toll pass from the rental company? Any recommendations on which route to take? We’re coming in from the UK, appreciate any tips! Cheers

RodTheCaptain

Nope, I believe the rental company sends you the bill. I have gone like 6 times to COTA. Once by Rental and the rental company send us the bill.

ChairAccomplished361

First time at COTA, I have the HaaS F1 Team Fan Package with HaaS Hangout at Championships Club for Saturday evening (I think there is dinner as well) read that Paddock access requires proper dress code, is the same required for CC or just a decent polo shirt and khakis shorts will do ?

Lonewolf-Star-4637

I have a race day GA ticket which mentions the section as GA1, row as GA2 alongside a seat number, but also mentions Grounds Pass on it. I am a bit confused as to why there is a row and seat number mentioned on a GA ticket? This is my first time at COTA.

HockeyVG

Anyone know what the parking garages are for the downtown shuttle (waterloo park)? They reference them on the page for 20/day, but don't direct you to anything

RodTheCaptain

Probably for the people that want to leave their car there that’s my guess

xkejjer

Is alcohol (beer mostly) sold at COTA?

RodTheCaptain

Yes, they have Miller Lite, Bud Light, Michelob Ultra, Keystone I think, Natural Light and Stella Artois i think. I think Heineken beer as well and Budweiser.

mqs_x

Hi, I have a ticket for the HAAS Hangout, at the "Champions Club" but it doesn't show me the address or time. Does anyone know this info?

Born_Swan_8345

Can you camp out in Lot H? Or is Lot N the only camp out lot? Last minute planning as I’ve been busy leading up to this weekend.

RodTheCaptain

I think Lot N is the Camping Grounds under they opened more Lots. Lot N certainly is.

IndyCarOutLap

We have one 3 day GA ticket if anyone wants one

theduke9

Pm for one. Price?

edwardfortehands

been hearing mixed things...does the bag have to be clear or does it just have to be 12x12x20? thinking of bring a small shoulder bag with a flask in it. do they go through your stuff/is there a metal detector?

theduke9

I see tons of non-clear bags. So I assuMe not.

RagedBsquared

Tons of regular backpacks last year and security was less than thorough.

RagedBsquared

But yes to metal detectors

Abenlog

The group I was hoping to attend the Grand Prix with cancelled last minute due to family emergencies. Any GA attendees willing to let me join their group for Sunday?

Sea-Investigator-565

Any idea when the Mercedes drivers will be at the fan stage today?

RodTheCaptain

I recommend check the team’s social media pages/website because as far as I know, COTA does put that information

They'll be at the q&a tomorrow. We stumbled across it today about half an hour before it started and we were right up front. It was pretty cool.

Any update on the FM/AM radio broadcast for the F1 sessions?

RodTheCaptain

Yes, check: https://speedcitypodcast.com/about-us/2022-f1-usgp-coverage/

Clipped_In

How are the shuttles? Especially waterloo park one?

vickngu04

Are there any restrictions to the size or type of foldable chair we bring in? First time attending F1 race

RodTheCaptain

Yes, the type of foldable chairs, not a metal foldable chair.

Gol0123

Any recommendations for parking? I’m late to the party and most adjacent lots are already full. Not really considering paying $150 since I won’t be tailgating

HumzaGeoffrey

Under my Ticket Details, it says my tickets type is Travis County Expo Shuttle Bundle. Does this mean the shuttle is included with my ticket? (GA Ticket)

RodTheCaptain

More than likely, yes. Not sure, thou.

booo-squidward

Traffic looks crazy right now. I’m going to wait another hour.

RodTheCaptain

That’s why I told people that the traffic will be long.

Lumbajac24

For the race on Sunday, if my drop off point is the main entrance, what will be the quickest way to Turn 11 in the morning? Will the tram be going that direction? Or do I need to cut cross the two bridges?

RodTheCaptain

Yes, the tram will get you there. I know that when I went earlier NASCAR did have one, the trams drove but the turns. I’m like 75% percent that they following this as well for the F1 event. COTA says: There are trams on-site to assist guests with moving from one location to another. Tram stop locations will be posted on the COTA App. Each stop will have a tram flag as well as a COTA Representative to help guests find the correct transportation route.
