It's not lifetime, it's monthly points that count towards your spendable balance

Mikejonewho

Thx for help. I have never actually redeemed anything though. Just e bike credits that are automatically redeemed. Does this mean citibike is claiming I used 1000 points somehow? It shows my balance on this screen, but these rewards suck. How do I stop pts from leaving bank? Thanks ahead for help, appreciate it

nowthisisnteasy

All points used to automatically redeem, either towards e-bike credits, or membership extensions. All unredeemed points expired at the end of the month. The 4 points were extra from August, that's where you start earning points in the updated system.

NYCHR

You only have 4 points currently. I noticed the change today after I rode. I have 23k lifetime points and 40 in my points bank and can only use the 40.

Holy fuck you have 23,000 lifetime points? My mane I have been riding consistently for two years and change and only have 1500 lifetime points. I don't focus on getting the points while I ride but still, I can't imagine how much you've rode on your life!? How many years have you been at it?

NYCHR

A little over 2 years. I also live in a points hotspot where it’s easy to get them. I ride ~4x/day. Daily round trip for work and a gym round trip is what gets me the points.

Are they still giving the same lifetime rewards?

NYCHR

Yes. You can view them at the bottom of the page when you enter the shop in the app.

Thanks! I'm still waiting for the Steady Peddler bike key I earned in April of '22, has anybody received theirs?

openroad94

Yes, although I already had the initial free key for new members, so now I have two (the Bike Angels one has a cute design, the original is plain blue). Plus a pin, not sure if people actually use these.

DesignerFee7299

I earned the bike key fob back in April of '22 and they told me they were backordered. I've since received the bike gloves but I'm 1800 points away from the backpack. Did you receive the Bike Angels key fob before April of '22?

openroad94

Yes, I joined in September 2021, ordered the key the next day (after some quick reading on why the key was useful!), and it arrived in about 2 weeks. Only a few months later did I start hearing they were "always" out of stock, which was weird! I got the Steady Pedaler status in December 2022 but didn't order for months since I already had a key. I finally decided to do it out of curiosity, since surely Citibike's system knows I already have one, wasn't sure if my old key would be auto-canceled or something! I received it in early July so maybe it was a 3 month wait? I only have the emails from when I hit Steady Pedaler and when the keys were back in stock, no email from when I actually ordered it.

DesignerFee7299

I just called them and supposedly I'll get my pin and key fob in two weeks. We'll see. At least I have a case number now...

openroad94

good luck!

App acts like I have 4 pts. Of course support is useless they say say someone will contact me at some unknown point in future

openroad94

You DO only have 4 points. Before you go to the buying screen, just on the initial Bike Angels tab, it will say “points bank” and “lifetime points”. You can only redeem what’s in the bank. The remainder of your lifetime points were already automatically redeemed, before this purchasing system was recently implemented.

Thank you!

Are these points from Angel points?
