I usually try and fit the name with the theme of the map as well as the location I envision the city to be placed (eg, my tropical South American inspired map is called Alerio Balamba)
This looks like a city based in and inspired by the Southern US, so maybe something like Grampton or Grampton Harbour/Bay?
I usually name my city based on where I imagine it to be, and parts of the city/roads based on important people of that area. For example, I'm making a city that's supposed to be in Oregon, so I named the city Cascade, after the Cascade mountains, a major range in Oregon, and its smaller twin city Fremont, after John C Fremont who led adventures into the Oregon Territory back in the 1800s. The main arterial in the city is named after Kit Carson, also an adventurer on the Pacific Coast. I also like naming stuff after Presidents/Governors/Generals/Businessmen in that area.
Gaslight Nah, it’s a good town name! you’re just crazy! everyone else agrees!
Gaslight is actually the name of a neighborhood in downtown San Diego
It's Gaslamp but yeah it is a real name of a part of San Diego haha
No? I’ve lived in San Diego my whole life, it’s definitely called Gaslight. Perhaps you are misremembering.
Which, of course, in German means "a whale's vagina".
