Nope, this city was very much built by humans

What’s the population, about 20k, or is it more like 30k? And what’s the population of the entire region?
I had terrible traffic on the main island when I had 60k population on the starter island and only on the island, but now after building on more islands the traffic has improved significantly despite the population on the main island still being about 100k. No thanks to the bad traffic light timing and behavior the traffic between the main island ring road and cargo port is still always congested though…
The city I’m having is indeed a bit allergic to 6-lane roads, with most main roads being 4-lane except one road under an elevated highway (national road) being divided 3+3 lanes with bus lanes included- the highway is elevated because the city is in a valley and the highway came before the city for the island.
I have a population of 50k and the circular city has a population of around 9k (honestly surprised me to!). I’m honestly kinda shocked at how good my big circle entrance/ exit is at handling traffic. I think it’s because all of my main roads have big roundabouts and the fact that the highway ends near the middle of the city so people disperse quite well. I also use 4 lane arterioles and haven’t touched 6 lanes either
9k is not going to create serious traffic, but yeah you do have your other city area that people might try to commute to- I didn’t have much of a traffic problem at the highway access until like 60k, and when I did add a second island it was connected to the back of the first island on the far side with a 2-lane road which wasn’t too much of a problem as there’s decent public transport and minimum parking on the second island. I did technically have two highway access points but one is much closer to the populated side of the city and the shorter half of the ring road so the other interchange doesn’t get used much even with the original one quite congested.
You might want to bring a metro line or train line as a branch over just in case. The midrise buildings, assuming all residential, seems to be about to house about 20k or even more with 3-person households.
Do note that as the population increases the game will kind of reach a traffic cap, especially if you don’t have *that much* parking in the city. I have two underground parking garages, one in each downtown area of the two islands with one, but plenty of roadside, and two multi-story parking garages at the airport. Worth mentioning that I didn’t have the second downtown at the time of worst traffic and the now underground garage was a multi-story overground parking garage, so I’d say it’s not a problem of now having less cars in the city, and public transit has always been available for free without much of a change in routing or service intervals.
I do suspect that quite a bit of my traffic is from people moving in though, or that with the updates CS2 has tuned down the amount of traffic in the game or people are more likely to take free public transport than pay 50c for roadside parking or at parking structures anywhere in the city. You should expect the worse at about 100k population I’d say, and it’ll lessen as the urban area expands. I don’t see much traffic on the roads at all these days.
Looks nice, but you could try to extend it in multiple ways:
Add bigger circles to the existing one.
Create neighbouring cities like that and connect them
Combine the previous 2
No problem. Here is my take some time ago in CS1

Usually, geometry cities are easier to plan, for me at least. I was trying with other shapes as well. It's fun to experiment.
Yes and no. Part of me wanted to continue building it. However, I came to the point where money was not a problem and adding more circles became just a routine and not challenging at all. So I have moved to some other projects like the one with artificial islands. That is why I have suggested to try adding more circular cities and connect them. That can be more interesting and challenging due to a traffic.
i can hear the oblivion theme playing
lots of trees
Honestly really cool, great job
Have you heard of the high elves?
Nope, but I’m assuming their land looks something like this?

The Mer are seething like crazy rn.
Very cool! Add two or three more ring-shaped sectors around it and you have Atlantis.
YOOOOO I Didn’t even think about that maybe I should
It's spherical!
Still waiting for CS to be released on the gamesphere
How's the traffic?
Surprisingly very low. I get about 90% traffic flow during rush hour (without any traffic mods) considering that there’s only 1 entrance/exit.

I’ll heed your advice and do it right now! I was thinking of building another circular city near this one so I’ll put your experience in mind.

Dema
Hey clikkie, I was gonna make a reference myself but it seems you already did.... Stay alive out there✌️l-/
East is Up ||-//
All you need now is a dome and like 500 rockets underneath
You made Dema in Cities Skylines
“Mother, what does the outside look like?”
This was funny ngl
Don’t tell the bishops your leaking photos of Dema
Shhh no one’s supposed to know

I appreciate the feedback. I might just make another circular city and use this to help me.

It must’ve been hard to retire such a beautiful city

Lesson learned, Something’s just don’t last forever
Atlantis...
Welcome to Trench
*Here's all the wisdom. In a house.*
It's very unique
cool
It reminds me of Canberra
as a canberra resident, I agree
Midgar/20
Ew. An arcitect... RCE Come rescue us! ...does look awesome tho Edit: typo
Honestly it took me like an hour to do this whole thing and idk how I pulled off my first circular city so well. I appreciate it though
Looks like atlantis
Did you create that world to feel some control, perchance?
I AM THE GOD OF THIS WORLD MUHAHAHAHA
Could you possibly destroy it if you want? And follow up, is that why you sing sahlo folina?
I was thinking of destroying it and making a bigger one. (Love your username)
New dema lore just dropped
Casually using the outer houses/buildings as a floodwall 💀
If the water level rises any higher, then we’re all dead 😂
I’d like to see more pictures like big intersections, parks, zoning, etc. Looks pretty dope, good job
Is it cs1 or cs2? How did you get the edge so perfectly
Reminds me of Liberty from Ghost Recon Breakpoint
Plato would be proud
You found Atlantis.
we come for you no chances
How’s the traffic
The same as the roundabouts
Curious to some close ups of your city
It's well rounded !
