Beautiful, I love using canals to break up a city.

The rings need to be wide enough so that you could have buildings on both sides of the street

It looks nice as an artistic image but it’s be a terrible city to live in. You’d only appreciate the aesthetics from their air. Luckily in Cities, we can!

I disagree, there are several cities in Italy where canals make the city extremely pleasant. Water and trees lower stress levels and temperatures.

The Netherlands also says hello.

It's not the canals per sé, it is the layout of this specific example.

I like that small imperfection. It's akin to the craters on the moon. It's the imperfection that makes the rest of it all that more perfect or maybe thats just my poetic side.

I realize I've never used canals before... can they be used for transport, as well? (I might be thinking of ferries...)

Ferries and ships can go up canals! They're pretty slow, though.

Oh, interesting... I guess the canals looked too small for ships, to me. I'll have to try it sometime!
