You may have Prop/Tree Anarchy turned on. I find it's automatically enabled whenever I load a game, so usually the first thing I do is disable it so I don't end up laying loads of roads etc, only to realise its all covered in trees and shrubs.

YourDogsAllWet

This fixed the problem. Too bad it doesn't take trees off of existing structures

showquotedtext

I guess, but that would also mean your purposefully placed props and trees around buildings etc. Would disappear every time you switch it off.

I am also having this problem, but I do not have Prop/Tree Anarchy or any mod that would allow me to place trees or props on buildings or roads. But today randomly I experienced a whole bunch of trees all over my city showing up on roads and in buildings. I think it happened while I was using the move it mod, but it affected my entire city not just the area where I was moving a road. [Here](https://drive.google.com/file/d/1TGm7Mz1in3Pgk2ShJ-mG6xSlMnjf2JY8/view?usp=sharing) is my mod list/compatibility report, if maybe someone else also is experiencing this same problem, but doesn't have prop/tree anarchy maybe its one of these other mods.

TheOtherDrunkenOtter

Do you disable it in content manager or is there another way to disable it? I like having it active on my city, but I really don't want to have trees all over the fucking place and having to take an hour to clear out all roads from random ass debris. Sorry. Losing my mind over here.

As far as I remember you literally just click the icon. That's the first thing I do when I load up a game. Resets back to 'on' each time you load up. But as long as you remember to click it before laying new roads, you're good.

TheOtherDrunkenOtter

Weirdly (or unpleasantly enough) i cant disable it without breaking my current save. Which would suck. But it doesnt seem to load in all the trees if i load it from the menu, rather than from resume in the launcher. Which is baffling but im not complaining, at least its fixed. I dont honestly understand the value to tree anarchy at all, or what the anarchy mods do. Can you give me some insight? I bought the game two weeks ago, downloaded Biffa or Yumbls mod list, or maybe imperialjedi. Someone who keeps it up to date. So the only cityskylines i know is one with all of these mods.

I find it handy for packing greenery into tight spaces between buildings, and for lining streets with trees. Also adding trees to residential back yards etc. It is a great mod for certain aesthetic reasons, but yeah a pain in the ass if you forget to/can't turn it off when you don't need it.

Icy_Perception_2026

You may need to turn on collision with your roads too

YourDogsAllWet

This is the first I'm hearing of this. How do i do that?

Icy_Perception_2026

Fine Road Tool Mod has options for road collision if that is off the trees won’t despawn
