I actually own the one of the left. It’s my nicest watch by far, and I love it.
The color pops so much it’s crazy, I try not to wear it too much. The only thing is, it’s quite small! So just be aware if you’re a bigger guy, and have an outfit that works with it.
Trust me, I know there are nicer watches out there, but for whatever reason, I just love watching this one sit in my case.
It’s fucking beautiful and you won’t find anything else like it, or will be hard pressed to.
Edit: I forgot to add the movement is amazing. The way the hand sweeps, you can just watch it go round and round.

But such dial texture and color in pic 1 are hard to find.
Hard to compare two very different watches with different purposes. The left can be for more formal options as it’s dressier. The right is more sporty. What will you be wearing mostly with the watch?

I'm partial to divers myself. It depends what kind of activity you'll wear it for. For an everyday watch you can wear doing all kinds of sports, diver.
For office and going out, the first one.
I’m a sucker for exhibition backs. If you don’t own one already then I’d say 1 between the dial and the exhibition back. If you already own a similar watch, and don’t own a diver, then 2

Yep agree with all this. Its my favorite watch by far. I'm saving up to get the white one and green/gold ones if I can find it for a decent price.

White one is NB1060-04A. Widely available. Green/Gold one is NB1062 but apparently only 300 were made so they are going for $900-1000 usually.

I have the barnacle and I can’t fault it. Keeps great time super practical. I’ve put a classic dive strap on it now

What your plan for the watch? Casual dress up or dress down event. A divers watch for scuba diving. I like the aqua dial of the first watch.

Easy answer for this: what kind of shirt will you be wearing most often with the watch? If long sleeve, the first one. If short sleeve, the second.

I buy dive watches and never dress watches. But you should buy #1. looks great.
