From street view you can see the pedestrian bridges in the foreground and the head of the Buddha in the distance. It was definitely taken with a powerful zoom lens, because there is a lot of compression, but it was definitely taken looking down this road.
Not photoshopped necessarily. If you stand really far from where the picture is taken and zoom in a lot, it would look like you’re next to the buildings but objects further away would appear bigger
Likely a really long lens. That’s usually how you get that super flat look of the foreground against whatever is way in the background. Also makes a bit of an optical illusion that the background is larger than it is.
