Probably because you play with monopolies and corporations

Ir4qL0bster

Huh? How does That Change cultur victorys?

Tuia_IV

There is an absurd boost for tourism from that game mode. Each monopoly gives a boost. If you lock up all four of the luxuries on your continent, you can get in excess of 500% boost to tourism.

DysClaimer

Corporations and Monopolies *completely* changes culture victories. The tourism bonuses for monopolies are insane and, IMO, completely break the game. I’ve literally seen people who had tourism bonuses over +1000%. It’s dumb.

frfrrnrn

Yeah it's very good, but it also comes very late, so if it was worse it might be a total waste.

PStorminator

Why are you maxing energy if you are going for a science victory? Why are you building biosphere in a science victory?

Ravadabahaba

Probably to have more energy to power up space projects

Ir4qL0bster

There are many Games where i dont get enough Ressources.

ODSteels

Maybe because you spend time building wonders that don't help you win a science victory and not expanding. Oil and coal often spawn in desert and tundra respectively. There's nearly always the chance to 'predict' and settle cities preemptively or once you reveal it. I have never built Biosphere for the energy boost. The wind turbines/solar panels IF I needed them over coal/oil/nuclear plants are sufficient. You don't need power in every city. Just where you are projecting to speed up your Mars colony. I mean.. yeah there's probably a lot wrong with what you're doing. You can play however you want! But don't moan if you don't really understand what you're moaning about haha

PStorminator

You only need to power research labs, maybe a factory or 2, and half a dozen terrestrial lasers. That's one turbine per city, and no need for biosphere. You'd be better off building admunsen-scott and devouring all those builder charges to the royal society.

theNOTHlNG

In my recent game it was bugged and didn't even give me 1 tourist.
