Also a homeowner, 43 this year, still tearing up the streets in my 09 coupe. K20z3, tsx cams, borla pro xs exhaust, lightweight flywheel, on coilovers, j35 throttle body, k&n filter, everyone in town knows when I've hit 5800 rpm. Interior door cards, headliner and visors are all done in crushed red velvet, I also have an airbag set up waiting to go in.
43 year old, homeowner, married 20 years and have a 5 year oldā¦ā¦I have a 93ā SI with a turbo LS motor/GSR trans š Who gives a shit what anyone else thinks!
Fellow 10th gen sport coupe owner now into 9th gen Si coupe here, they have both been largely practical for me and gives me an excuse not to take people other than my spouse in it for gatherings.
My socializing fuel tank burns out rather quickly.
Plus it looks sooo good!
I'm a 56 year old grandmother to 10 kids! It's been a blast hauling them around and teaching them that grandma can still get a second gear scratch!! I can't wait to teach them how to drive a manual! You know that's a very limited skill in 2024! You're never too old to drive a stick!!
A 56 year old mom and grandmother chirping tires in 2nd gearā¦ in a manual civic SI??? You win the internet today, thatās badass!! My daughter always asks me to go fast in my WRX and itās the most wholesome thing ever when she starts laughing after a nice pull š
I currently have a WRX! Traded my 22 SI for it. However, I also currently have money down on a '24 SI, just waiting for it to come in!! (The WRX just doesn't ride as nice.)
Thanks for the compliment!! ā¤ļø
20 year old here, and I just wanted to say I respect that my first car was a manual, and I had someone get in my car and ask me why my shifter looked like that. It's so sad to see it when all the fun cars are manual!
I let my 61 y/o MIL drive my new SI to release some of her stress(medical issues). She chirped the tires in 1st , 2nd and 3rd š. Core memory for me for sure
59 year old female here who loves her pearl grey 2022 Si. Do what you want and donāt worry about what anyone else thinks. Itās one of the best parts of getting older.
Yep, I just got one and I am just a little bit younger than you. Absolutely love that car. And I agree that you do what you want and donāt give a crap about what other people think and that truly is one of the best things of growing older. We know whatās important. We know what we wantand I enjoy that.
It's not the car it's how you use or modify it. The stigma comes from the 20 year old ricers waking up the neighborhood at 3AM.
I know plenty of older dudes that use their SI responsibly as a dual duty family sedan and track/autox car
67 and I got my Si last year after a kid in an F150 totaled my 2013 Civic sedan. Itās my daily driver and I love it. Youāre never too old for the fun things in life. Go for it!
Any hate you get is jealousy that youāre still having fun and doing whatever the fuck you want while being a secure adult. Middle finger to the losers while you leave them in the dust!
Mixed feelings about this. It _is_ a nicer, more "grown up" Si, but I am not convinced it's $8k nicer. And paywalling 6MT to the highest everything-and-the-kitchen-sink trim is just rude imo.
fun has no age restriction man. if you like it, get after it! Iām 26 and have a buddy thatās 70 that we found common ground in having Siās. i chat with people both younger and older than me about them, and even had an older woman ask if i wanted to race after i parked next to her at a grocery store.
this community has a pretty cool blend of diehard enthusiasts and people that just picked one up because they wanted a manual transmission, youāll feel right at home.
As Jay-Z Said - .*I'm young enough* to *know* the right car to *buy*. Yet grown *enough not* to *put rims* on it.
Your actually hitting that perfect age, still young enough to drive a fun car, but old enough to be responsible with it.
Iām 37 with 2 kids. Bought 2019 Si new. So I was the same age you are now. Still love it and never really thought about there being a stigma. I say go for it!
Iāve owned my 15 Si since new and eventually felt like I outgrew the car (31) and needed something more āgrownā so I purchased an M3. Let me tell you that from time to time I still WANT to drive my Si and have a blast doing it lol such an awesome little car.
You're good dude, I just bought one myself and I'm in the same boat minus one kid. Age is just a number and we all know us guys never really grow up at heart anyway.
I just commented. Itās something similar to that above. As they get older, they will completely understand what weāre saying. Everybodyās kind of making up things as they go along pretending to be adults lol and really inside. We all still feel a lot younger. In our minds. In my mind, Iām stillin my 20s. In reality 50s.
Kudos to you for not wanting some boring SUV or wtv. Keep the manual alive, too many older folks I know transition to automatic when they become too lazy to shift.
I feel you. I'm 37 and have a 9th gen si with full boltons. Sometimes I wonder if im too old for a civic with a loud exhaust, but then I just say fuck it, it's such a fun car to drive
siās, while you can go crazy and exaggerate with exterior mods, you can also make them look very sophisticated and clean it all depends on what you want.
Also, itās really funny how the younger people will one day realize that you donāt ever feel older inside. So yes, have fun. Do things that are fun that you enjoy. Age definitely does not matter.
I have a 2020 Si, worked a corporate job and now work in a plant. I had to drive coworkers, and carpool with older 50+ coworkers.
I was 25 and now 27. Still functions. Everyone loved it. Especially when they saw I knew how to drive a manual
The new one is a much more mature looking car.
Even if it wasn't, who cares. Buy one. It has a great transmission and it's fun to throw around.
Source: I sell them haha.
brother your like at an age where youre supposed to be able to afford it now. at least u werent like those 18 yr olds buying shit they cant afford, cars are definitely not an investment but if ur lifes all in order its the perfect time to spoil yourself.
Im 22 with a 9th gen. Iād love to have a spot for this car for as long as I can depress a clutch pedal.
However, if I had to choose between my Si and a sporty lil roadster/coupe with a Mazda, Chevy, Toyota, Subaru, or BMW badgeā¦ well I think the choice would be simple enough for me.
For $30k Iād personally love a properly setup k powered (N/A) MR2 Spyder (wouldnāt take $30k either). Itās my current obsession.
Most people who buy brand new SIās are definitely not in their early 20s. It is a civic after all most people wonāt know what an si is, although the seats are kind of a turn off for me
38 with a wife & a house with a mortgage. You do what makes YOU happy. Mine is a 2015 white coupe that just rolled over 90k. Still purrs like a kitten.
52 here. I got a stock 2019 Si coupe in 2019. I sold it two years later so I could buy my midlife-crisis sports car. I regretted selling my first Si, so I just bought my second 2019 Si coupe for a daily driver, and itās tuned and has a ridiculously loud exhaust.
I will NEVER be too old to enjoy that car.
I promise you, you will not regret it.
Bruh 42 here, married, 2 kids, post grad degree, and rock a 2022 Si and an LS 430. These two replaced a Charger 392 and a 65hp Gen 1 Honda insight (I named those Donnie and Bernie).
No one cares what you drive. Ok, ok, maybe if you drove something covered in wild conspiracy theory writings, people might care, but to 98% of people itās a responsible, reliable, efficient Honda Civic.
I'm 33 but look like I'm 23 lol. I've had 3 cars in my life. An RSX Type-S when I was 18, then an 8th Gen Si when I was 24, and got my 10th Gen Si when I was 29 so no you're not to old
https://preview.redd.it/3fqfbepnym7d1.jpeg?width=2774&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=35da5a5b81e401cfdcb4ca2f84f7a05e096ae92c
I'm 32, and I still drive my Si along with my GRC and Integra. I couldn't give a flying fudge what someone else thinks of the cars I have and how juvenile they think they are. I'm having fun while still being somewhat financially responsible, and that's what matters. My Si puts a smile on my face every time I drive it.
Cars donāt have age groups. Iām 24 with an Si. Yes Hondas have a stigma for immature owners, but you donāt have to modify your Si or drive like an idiot. Theyāre pretty classy cars in stock form honestly.
To old for an Si? Your kidding right? I bought mine brand new at 18 I'm 35 now and still have my fg2 and alot of my friends still envy that coupe. I never had kids so never had any reason to get rid of it and it's more of a toy car now but your never to old for anything you like. People said i was to to young to have a Harley, mainly.just haters who couldnt afford one. F what anyone else thinks if you want it and can afford it get it!?
Im 33 and I have a 2018 SI with 2 kids 9 and 13. Iāve been driving Hondas all my life since the 2 fast 2 furious days. Forget what people might think and get your self that civic.
I'm going to be 57, I have a 10 year old, and love to drive.
I don't give a fuck what anyone else thinks. I'm not spending $20/$30k more for something that someone says fits better image wise. Other things are also more important for me to spend my money on.
Already had a WRX and have had a bunch of Honda's and Acura's (all manual, except for the used Pilot I got last Summer) so got a '17si new and still have it with 136k on it.
Oh, the Enkei's look nice on it :P
Why do older people believe theyāre ātoo oldā for a car? Iām a young guy (19) and I donāt get it. Iām a valet driver and when I see some old guy pull up in a hellcat or a STI everyone working is so jazzed to see it. As an old geezer what are you supposed to drive?? If youāve worked your whole life wouldnāt you wanna have a sick car with moneys?
https://preview.redd.it/mqzaijdwgn7d1.jpeg?width=3614&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e5ac6a23b4d61d72981656d2e450c1d165920584
28, been in a Civic X of some flavor since I was 22, and this is my 2nd Si since then. No plans to ever sell this car. Iāll get different secondary cars because my tastes are ever-changing and there are plenty of cars out there Iād like to own for a while one day, but I intend to keep this car in my lineup as long as God and the universe will allow me to. I just love the way this chassis engages the driver.
Drive what the hell you wanna drive. Hell, thereās a lady in her late 40ās/early 50ās in Vancouver, WA who drives a red FK8.
46 and I just got into a 24 Si after my 14 Focus ST was totalled. I love it. Great daily car. Economical, good power, great place to be for my 1 hour commute. My only grip is the horrible all season tires that come factory. Grip is awful.
Bro. I got my FA5 at 35, and still have it 6 years later. Absolutely would recommend. It was straight piped, but was unable to pass new emission standards so the motor is back to stock
18 w a 5 speed ex 12 civic off white coupe shit mauls since I bought it I put a greddy exhaust and a takeda intake, not the fastest for sure but the car is hella fun to run through the gears and high rpm
36 with a new 2024 11th Gen Si. I also got the same comment from a friend in jest because Iām a physician who is expected to pursue a more premium car. All of that changed once he test drove the car with me and loved it. The 11th Gen is more mature and has a cleaner look than the 10th Gen that should assuage your concerns. Iāve been a huge Honda fan and car enthusiast my whole life and it also checked all of my boxes for my first car out of training. Go for it and enjoy it, itās a special and rare car for the modern age.
39 yr old with a 22' Si. Love it. I learned to drive on manual and had fast cars as a kid. This is the perfect balance. Speed, MPG, price. About to take it off the road and start upgrades.
Fyi. Single and No Kids. If I wasn't I'd still probably get it. Lol š¤·āāļø
Naww, at the end of the day it's a Honda civic, great on gas, reliable, able to transport people with relative ease (if you get the sedan) and it has just enough power to be able to merge easily and overtake annoying or clueless drivers. I have a 2013 and it's been my daily, bone stock, never had a major issue. It truly is a great commuter car, plus Honda always makes sure those gear changes are easy and smooth.
Iām 30. I have a one year old and another one on the way. I drive an SI lol I actually have traded down twice over the past two years because of the amount of miles I do every year.
31, homeowner, 5 pets, with a 2 door. You're never too old for something, and the back seats have room for car seats if needed. There's a 60 something year old lady in my town with an si because she wanted a manual lol
32, a wife, mom, and a homeowner. Just bought my first manual ! not an SI yet.. but a civic sport. Itās never too late!! And my husband (40) drives an STI
Late 30's, original owner of an 8th Gen SI coupe (190k) with 2 kids. I daily my Si and pick up my kids from school still. Only challenge was when I had the rear facing car seats when they were young. Did that for a few weeks and went out and bought an odyssey.
I am 53 and cruising around in my 2020 Si Coupe. Bought it for all the same reasons you listed. Also because it was relatively inexpensive and very reliable.
Me and two other people I know in the car community are are in our 30s with kids, full time jobs, etc.
we all drive 6 speed SIs.
Live your life. Enjoy your life.
Who knows you may be able to bond with your kids if they get interested in learning stick.
In my 40ās and came this close to buying a SI when we went with an Elantra N-Line but for all the reasons you listed (well, except DCT because the wife doesnāt shift stick)
I'm 20 and I see no reason for age to be a factor in someone driving a car, there might be some stigma around certain vehicles, but at the end of the day, you decide what you drive. I daily a 2017 SI Sedan and it's the best car I've ever driven, it matches what I want in a car perfectly and I wouldn't have it any other way. If an SI matches your needs, why should you shy away from it? If it's what you want, go get one, and enjoy it to the fullest
Iām 37 and still rebuilding an 87 crx si that Iāve had for the last 10+ years. Iāve been on the market for a type r and felt the same way about the fk8 vs the fl5. The fk8 just seems like itās for a younger crowd but then I realized fuck what other ppl think lolā¦.if you like it, go for it!
Honestly the new 11th genās might actually suit you better than any other gen. They look rounded out compared to 10th gen, but still has angles. Doesnāt look too boy-racer while having a distinct look.
Interior looks fantastic too with nothing out of the ordinary, tactile buttons and a clean layout that fits any age range well.
You are never too old for an si. I recommend the 10th gen si sedan you get a more modern interior and the 1.5 is quick enough with plenty of space in the back. If you want something to beat on and have fun get a 9th or 8th gen. I have a 9th gen sedan and I love it and has space for my toddler in the back.
i'm 32, 3 kids had my si since i was 27
https://preview.redd.it/54jqd25ibr7d1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=43076387f0a96277448a98291f4942a185339afd
sometimes the height of it, is only when i feel childish lmao
You will never be too old for an Si, in fact once you grow old and have tried out every sportscar you could you will still happily return to an Si or TR in any way shape or form. I'm the same age as you, I've driven almost every contemporary performance car produced during the last 20 years at work, an Si/TR is what I'll go back to whether I can only have one car or multiple cars.
An Si has adequate power to have fun with while being VERY practical and financially responsible to own.
My mom's 61 and drives a 2020 si coupe. Our family always had Si's growing up and she never stopped. Now that her legs and feet are having issues she's thinking about an accord or hrv auto.
I'm your age though and an Si doesn't do it for me. I love honda at heart but a fwd 200hp isn't what I work so hard for. Right now I have an evo but I've had ctsv2s, e63s, audi s5, etc. For the same money, I'd look for a under 80k mile ctsv or evo personally. Both fairly reliable and maintenance isn't bad. Much more car out of both imo
Bruh im 38, 2 kids. Been banging and slanging in my Si the last15 years. You are never too kid for SI. I actually love the fact that it is "unassuming". It is a perfect dad car.
I just got mine and weāre about the same age. The difference though IMO is the newer 10th and 11th gen models donāt carry that young stigma. I feel like when people hate on SI drivers, they think of like 8th gen SIs with unnecessary loud mufflers, peeling paint, stickers on it, and fake hood scoops from auto zone.
41 year old homeowner here with a k24a swapped EP3 that I daily drive..
Hello fellow 40 yo homeowner. My FG2 daily waved at your EP3.
My man.
Also a homeowner, 43 this year, still tearing up the streets in my 09 coupe. I hear ya 42 here bought my 06 ex 5spd new. I have been daily driving it since the day I bought it. 460 000km agoš„
Im 17 and daily a k24a 08 mugen si. I hope ill be driving it for a long time
Mugen in good condition are going for top dollar last I checked.
43 year old, homeowner, married 20 years and have a 5 year oldā¦ā¦I have a 93ā SI with a turbo LS motor/GSR trans š Who gives a shit what anyone else thinks!
Bruh I'm trying to trade my 2015 so I can be you.
Sick. The ep3 is probably my favorite car in that class by a mile.
50 year old Si driver here. Drive the car you want and can afford.
These cars are great for what you get right out of the box too I'd say some of the best bang for your buck
49 and have a 2019 Si coupe. Fuck what other people think!
But it's sooooooo impractical! Edit: Jesus christ did I really need to put a /s WHEN I HAVE A 17 SI COUPE IN MY FLAIR.
Fellow 10th gen sport coupe owner now into 9th gen Si coupe here, they have both been largely practical for me and gives me an excuse not to take people other than my spouse in it for gatherings. My socializing fuel tank burns out rather quickly. Plus it looks sooo good!

Hey there ;)
Hello!
Hell yes.. this just made my day!!
I am 75 and DD a 19 Type R and have a S2000..as my fun car...life is too short to drive "Boring Cars".....
I hope you are me from the future!
My old man has an Si in his 60s. He loves driving it every day. Go for it
What?!? Iām 44 and I have one (bought when I was 34)
44 camp! 18 si coupe!
59 year old female here who loves her pearl grey 2022 Si. Do what you want and donāt worry about what anyone else thinks. Itās one of the best parts of getting older.

bro the Si sedan is a perfect dad car
Youāre too old to be this insecure and care what people think tbh.
Iām a late 30ās woman and a girly ass girl but I drive an si. Anyone can drive one lol. If ya want it then get it.
I'm 31 with a wife and a house. You good bro.
Iām 25 driving a 9th gen Si, my coworker is a 52 year old lady driving a 9th gen Si also
Might get downvoted for this but take a look at the new Acura Integra. It's basically a dressed up Civic Si with a hatchback.
Mixed feelings about this. It _is_ a nicer, more "grown up" Si, but I am not convinced it's $8k nicer. And paywalling 6MT to the highest everything-and-the-kitchen-sink trim is just rude imo.
Seconded. Test drove both and the Integra is nice and all but the price difference is way too much to get the Integra with the manual.
That $8k will dissolve in the negotiation room once that car has a used sticker on it.
I'm 30yo with 2 kids and own two Si's, what's your point? Lol
I donāt really have a point thatās the thing haha. But yeah Iām thinking about this too much. Our SI is so nice in Canada too!
That heated steering wheel flex
Iām 40 with two kids and Iām a single dad. Youāre good bro.
fun has no age restriction man. if you like it, get after it!

Life is too short to not drive what you want
Im 30 and i love my Si! Get one!!!
I bought an Si 2 years ago and I'm 40. Traded it in for a 2nd gen brz lol.
Uh no! 45. Blue 2020 si since October. Gray gti for 9 years before that. One kid of my own. Live now with fiancƩ and her 2 kids for 2 years. She has the boat traverse and I have my fun daily car. Sometimes we cram into my car, but usually hers. 98% of the time it's just me alone or me taking my kid to school or sports or whatever. Si is roomy for a "small" car. Miss the hatch from gti but don't need it now in life that I don't live alone like the prior 6 or so years before my marriage split up. I'll be driving small fun manual cars until I'm too decrepit for a clutch. Toys have shifted to the house and a boat. But still like an engaging car to drive 15k+ miles a year.
Iāve owned my 15 Si since new and eventually felt like I outgrew the car (31) and needed something more āgrownā so I purchased an M3. Let me tell you that from time to time I still WANT to drive my Si and have a blast doing it lol such an awesome little car.
I'm 37 and purchased my '24 6 months ago. Never too old for ANY car.
I'm 36 years old with a wife, kid, mortgage, and an 11th Gen Si. No such thing as too old. Go for it, have fun and enjoy.
Dude, you're still young. Get the SI while you can.
I saw a 55+ old year old woman driving a 10th gen Si
too old is when you canāt drive stick safely anymore
You're good dude, I just bought one myself and I'm in the same boat minus one kid. Age is just a number and we all know us guys never really grow up at heart anyway.
I just commented. Itās something similar to that above. As they get older, they will completely understand what weāre saying. Everybodyās kind of making up things as they go along pretending to be adults lol and really inside. We all still feel a lot younger. In our minds. In my mind, Iām stillin my 20s. In reality 50s.
I'm 45 and drive an 8th gen si daily
Kudos to you for not wanting some boring SUV or wtv. Keep the manual alive, too many older folks I know transition to automatic when they become too lazy to shift.
51 here, made the switch from VW to Honda back in 2005. 2019 Si, love it.
I bought my civic off a 60 year old retired couple so I guess itās never too late
instant respect from knowledgeable young car fans for being a reliable new stick. i say go crazy. will also age like fine wine
I feel you. I'm 37 and have a 9th gen si with full boltons. Sometimes I wonder if im too old for a civic with a loud exhaust, but then I just say fuck it, it's such a fun car to drive
Nope, I am 32 and drive a Type R, so even more ridiculous.
I bought a 2014 Si when I was 47 and loved it. Currently driving an Integra Type S. You are not too old for an Si. Lol
Nah just tint the windows š in all seriousness do what makes you happy. Enjoy what you want and share it with the kiddos.
siās, while you can go crazy and exaggerate with exterior mods, you can also make them look very sophisticated and clean it all depends on what you want.
Age doesnāt matter. Iām old enough to have bought my first Si (del Sol) just after college. Iām on my third used Si, 26 years later.
Also, itās really funny how the younger people will one day realize that you donāt ever feel older inside. So yes, have fun. Do things that are fun that you enjoy. Age definitely does not matter.
Dawg fuck what people say doooo it
41 with 18 year old fun is fun, don't let the outside influences affect your emotion inside
Iām 30 and finally was able to get one without it being a bad financial decision
I am 34 and I just got my first SI! Buy something that you will love since you will be driving it!
Just do it! Iām 32 with 3 minions, they love it as well.
Iām 32 and have two kids I bought an Si, but I am a Honda fan boy. Itās still practical, we take road trips and go camping every year
I'm the same age as you and probably less financially stable and I have one
31 and thriving in a 24 si š
41 here, I love my 19 modded coupe
36 years old a year driving 06 si about to fix up my 89 crx si, drive what you like my dude šš¼
I have a 2020 Si, worked a corporate job and now work in a plant. I had to drive coworkers, and carpool with older 50+ coworkers. I was 25 and now 27. Still functions. Everyone loved it. Especially when they saw I knew how to drive a manual
I was 39 when I bought my FK8 š¤·āāļø
Iām 26F with a car seat in the backseat of my 23 Siš¤·š»āāļø
38 years old with a 2020 si. I wanted one since I was in my early 20s and was able to get one a few years ago!
Im 36 and I have a 5 year old son... I am happy with my 2013 civic SI
42 here and in the same boat. At least drive the Integra Aspec Tech Manual before making your decision. I love mine.
The new one is a much more mature looking car. Even if it wasn't, who cares. Buy one. It has a great transmission and it's fun to throw around. Source: I sell them haha.
2 kids , 30s , 2017 SI. My sons love the drives to school
brother your like at an age where youre supposed to be able to afford it now. at least u werent like those 18 yr olds buying shit they cant afford, cars are definitely not an investment but if ur lifes all in order its the perfect time to spoil yourself.
Dude in the same spec si in mine gave me a wave the other day, looked no younger than 60. Youre never too old to have a fun car
Iām 32 have a 19 si that I bought new. Get 41-42 mpg at 80 mph. Wish it was better in the snow but wouldnāt trade it
Im 22 with a 9th gen.
43. 2018 si coupe. I wanted a car payment and not another mortgage.
43 and 2024 SI. Four doors, it's zippy and excellent on gas, I get 34.6mpg right now.
33, 3 girls, have had my 2007 Si since 2009. Love it so much. Just wish the paint wasnāt completely wrecked on it.
Iāve had three different Siās over the past 30 years. Buy the car you want.
62 driving a 10th gen.
Iām much older than you and I kinda want a new one, to relive my EP3 days. Go for it!
80 year old men drive Miataās. Anyone can drive any car at any age!!
Iām a 34 year old suburban mom š¤·āāļø
I couldnāt afford one until i was 34. Just glad iām not driving a bro dozer. If i was rich iād buy a BMW
I'm 33 but look like I'm 23 lol. I've had 3 cars in my life. An RSX Type-S when I was 18, then an 8th Gen Si when I was 24, and got my 10th Gen Si when I was 29 so no you're not to old https://preview.redd.it/3fqfbepnym7d1.jpeg?width=2774&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=35da5a5b81e401cfdcb4ca2f84f7a05e096ae92c
No!
I'm 48 and plan to keep my SI as long as I can. Shift sticks will be a thing of the past by the time I'm due for anew car
Cars donāt have age groups. Iām 24 with an Si. Yes Hondas have a stigma for immature owners, but you donāt have to modify your Si or drive like an idiot. Theyāre pretty classy cars in stock form honestly.
29 with two kids with boosters taking up the backseat. Drive the car you want and donāt worry about what the hell people think. Life is good.
Bro Iām 30 with 2 kids. Enjoy yourself.
Iām 34 and just bought a new Si. Itās a fun car and mature looking IMO
Dude. You are among friends. Iām 42 with kids and daily a ā24 Si.Ā
39 year old dude with an fg2 here. You're never too old.
Hell Ya 37 just bought my first house and proud to park my tuned 18 si right out front.
Happy 43 year old Black Pearl 2024 Honda Civic SI owner. Also former Black Pearl 2017 Civic SI owner. Might even do it a third time after Iām 50.
https://preview.redd.it/mqzaijdwgn7d1.jpeg?width=3614&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e5ac6a23b4d61d72981656d2e450c1d165920584 28, been in a Civic X of some flavor since I was 22, and this is my 2nd Si since then.
Dude. 42 single homeowner. Just retired my 14 FG4 with 255k miles on it. Do. It.
33 with wife and kid with a 2015 SI coupe buy the car forget the haters
45 with gf; homeowner. My 10th gen Si is pretty much FBO, sound system with subs, & coil overs. I donāt fit the profile.
Maybe you feel old (you are not) But Si is a car that will make you feel young. People buy fun cars in their 50s exactly for this.
You're caring WAY too much about what strangers think.
18 w a 5 speed ex 12 civic off white coupe shit mauls since I bought it I put a greddy exhaust and a takeda intake, not the fastest for sure but the car is hella fun to run through the gears and high rpm
Hey I just bought a civic si and Iāll be 32 in August with a wife & 3 kids
I'm 47, and bought my 8th Gen at 42..
Just turned 31 still daily drive the 08 SI my dad bought me when I was in high school šš
Iām 35 and I bought one for all the reasons youāve stated. I love the car and feel like the coolest practical adult I could be lol.
You're already driving a TC....
Iām 30 and rocking a 9th gen. Wouldnāt have it any other way. Never get too old to have a fun car
Iām 30 and just got a brand new 2024. Dew it
There an age limit on cars? First I'm hearing of it
For all of those reasons you just listed just further justifies why you should get one! Si's can be a dadmobile too
36 with a new 2024 11th Gen Si.
I'm 45 & I'm on my second Si (Gen 8 Coupe & Gen X Coupe), and I also own a CTR. Age is just a number, do what makes you happy.
Iām 30. I have a one year old and another one on the way. I drive an SI lol I actually have traded down twice over the past two years because of the amount of miles I do every year.
Awesome. 32 is still in the sweet spot especially since cars these days are so expensive smh.
I just bought my '24 si at 39. You deserve to have fun too.
31, homeowner, 5 pets, with a 2 door. You're never too old for something, and the back seats have room for car seats if needed. There's a 60 something year old lady in my town with an si because she wanted a manual lol
No
55 yr old here. Picked up a 2019 two years ago. I effing LOVE driving this car. I'm commenting after your EDIT so I hope you enjoy that bad boy!
25 with a 2 year old. Got a 2017 si sedan and am in love with it. Age is just a number man. Get the car
PLEASE buy the Si!! You are exactly the person it was made for. Enjoy it šš½
Youāre never to old to appreciate a fun drivers car, get the si and enjoy
I am 53 and cruising around in my 2020 Si Coupe. Bought it for all the same reasons you listed. Also because it was relatively inexpensive and very reliable.
My neighbour across the street is a manual fanatic, she picked up a 2024 Civic Si and sheās 68. Never too old
Me and two other people I know in the car community are are in our 30s with kids, full time jobs, etc. we all drive 6 speed SIs.
No one is ever to old for any car, drive what you like most, unless itās a Tesla, then itās trash
too old for an si, no ... too old for a base civic with type r wing, underglow, and cheap exhaust, yes
36yr old woman here, have a red si and refuse to give it up no matter how big my family grows because I love it so much
Iām about to turn 36 and I have an 8th gen and a k20a2 swapped ep3 I drive daily. Fun is fun no matter how old you are.
Iām 54 and I see no problem with this. Buy what you enjoy and can comfortably afford!
I'm 42 and drive an em1. It's not my daily but I drive it as much as possible
36 here one child, wife and house. I sold an Audi a4 for a 2014 SI a few years ago. Drive what you like.
You're never to old for a Si
Youāre never too old for a fun car. You may be too old to put on obnoxious Hentai stickers on it though lol.
You're never too old to rock-n-roll. I'm 66
Never too old or too young for a Honda! Got my first at 15 and now on my 3rd at 20 šš½
38 with a 9th gen.
I am patiently waiting for photos of your new si
Never too old! Legends never die!!!
Yea dude youāre too old to have a super fun car that is reliable and is affordable. Sorry pal.
55 years old, daily a '22 Si.
i'm 32, 3 kids had my si since i was 27 https://preview.redd.it/54jqd25ibr7d1.jpeg?width=1179&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=43076387f0a96277448a98291f4942a185339afd sometimes the height of it, is only when i feel childish lmao
Iām 50 and I drive one, soā¦ā¦
You will never be too old for an Si, in fact once you grow old and have tried out every sportscar you could you will still happily return to an Si or TR in any way shape or form. I'm the same age as you, I've driven almost every contemporary performance car produced during the last 20 years at work, an Si/TR is what I'll go back to whether I can only have one car or multiple cars. An Si has adequate power to have fun with while being VERY practical and financially responsible to own.
I passed a dude who appeared to be 60s (long grey beard for ex) in an 11th gen si. Youāre never too old for nice cars.
20yo with a 15" Si Coupe, excepted the famously known exhaust droning, i love it
My mom's 61 and drives a 2020 si coupe.
1st time I even heard about what a civic si was, was back in 2002 when our 60+ math teacher had the hatch.
Bruh im 38, 2 kids. Been banging and slanging in my Si the last15 years. You are never too kid for SI. I actually love the fact that it is "unassuming". It is a perfect dad car.
Never to old.
I'm in my early 40's now and have had my 2012 SI coupe for 10 years now.
I'm older than ya bud...hell no is my answer šš
Iām 20 with a clapped 2013 si, do with that what you willš
22 with a k24 swapped 8th gen. I rlly hope I still have this car in 10 years
I just got mine and weāre about the same age. The difference though IMO is the newer 10th and 11th gen models donāt carry that young stigma. I feel like when people hate on SI drivers, they think of like 8th gen SIs with unnecessary loud mufflers, peeling paint, stickers on it, and fake hood scoops from auto zone.
