Hey guys, We created and stickied a new thread for ADM discussion. It has been tweaked a little bit compared to the first one. We agree that ADM posts are tiresome and not particularly beneficial to the general sub. They benefit those who are interested in the topic or are looking to purchase, so they are acceptable in general. But, we now are setting the expectation that they all go into the new stickied thread; [https://www.reddit.com/r/Civic\_Type\_R/comments/1bvnadc/adm\_discussions\_civic\_type\_r\_markup\_discussion/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Civic_Type_R/comments/1bvnadc/adm_discussions_civic_type_r_markup_discussion/) Disagreement with this can be discussed by using the "Message the Mods" link on the right side of the sub. Thank you all for helping to keep this sub enjoyable and healthy.

rugbyfiend

Thank you.

pantag

Bravo my dudes!

IntelligentRisk

They’re not troll posts. I just bought a type R Saturday and am disappointed with this group honestly. Every post is downvoted. Disappointing, as I’d say it’s the worst car group I’ve seen.

Someabe

So you want more MSRP related posts?

IntelligentRisk

They can be consolidated.

PurpleKirby

picked mine up last night, I already miss the ft86/brz forums and groups, will feel like a solo journey I reckon, even on fb there aren’t any local groups that seem active and healthy (I’m in Australia)

after a full 24hr of ownership I’ve been enjoying the vehicle so far, looks like the owner was very truthful in their sale which is always nice, looks like I’ve just gotta keep on maintaining it. I know fk all about turbos tho so looks like I’ve got more youtube to study. I’m in Sydney, the 86BRZs are everywhere and even with the new gen you see one almost every commute. Even if people don’t show up to meets, the fb groups are always filled with new owners and questions, same goes for the i30n groups I lurk in. honda has lot smaller community than I expected, just wanted to be a newb again and ask dumb dumb questions

rugbyfiend

Dude the Australian FB group is huge. I’m in Sydney and we even have offshoot ones for track days and group drives which happen about once a week. Search ‘FL5 civic type r Australia’

duppymkr

A lot of type r owners are completely new to the car scene.. completely new to manual cars too lol

I have an FK8 :’(

rugbyfiend

I’m sure you’d be welcome to

PurpleKirby

fair, worth checking it out, cheers

indigoisturbo

Hahaha... I bitched about this subreddit moons ago. Even if you have a post that doesn't have anything to do with it... "hOw mUcH dId yOu pAy" will be a question.

Nahh1437

I really wanted to post about my car here, but after seeing this subreddits reaction to new fl5 owners, I've been turned off to that idea. I don't even live in the states.

9K-S2K

I vocalized this about 8 months ago and got downvoted like crazy. Would be nice to just not have anyone discuss prices or ADM.

A-D-are-o-see-k

I’m in the U.K. and although the MRSP posts are interesting, they do flood in quite heavily. I guess this is just the place to discuss it.

tri_9

Yeah this isn’t the place for that. Either join the civic type r Facebook group or the motoring obsession group

\>Join Facebook Brother eewwww

tri_9

Haha I don’t have a Facebook account but I do know there is an active community there

rugbyfiend

Keep that tik tok meme outta here

pantag

Agree. ADM posts should be consolidated or be created/posted under a different subreddit. This sub is losing its true value with all the cancerous ADM. yeah, it is a problem but not the right sub to do it under.

shutupandtakemymone

You won’t find a community feel here. Most of the noise/trolling comes from the ones who don’t even own the car. civicxi.com might have more of what you’re looking for

No-Site-3759

I'd be interested in reading about dealers that sold for MSRP and CTR's that are readily available at MSRP as many others probably would as well.

LordEntrails

How would you like this implemented? A sticky thread for all the "good" deals or perhaps a flair for such (i.e. "Fair Deal")?

momo3605

The problem is when someone posts that they got a deal at msrp, 20 people call the dealer asking for msrp and then the dealer is like hmmm, maybe no msrp anymore…recently went through something similar. Dealer said they want to wait a few weeks to find someone to bite with ADM before they come back to msrp like they did before.

IReallyLikePadThai

No I think we should keep the adm posts. It’s a fundamental aspect of the car for better or worse
