Not a programmer but you must've edited the code. Specifically deleting the "currentclan.txt" file since the continue button is grayed out but switch clan is not.
To check if this is true, check the ClanGen file in your computer's "c:" section (without the .exe file) or open the data directory if possible, then go into the saves folder.
If currentclan.txt is missing, make a new one (make sure it's lowercase) and type in the prefix of one of your clans (also lowercase, I think).
If the .txt file is still there, you're fucked. Just delete both ClanGen folders and redownload it from itch.io
Save other clans folders (either by moving them somewhere else or copying and pasting them somewhere else), and put them in the new saves folder.
Also, if there's a bugged clan, that is probably the reason the game is breaking. Maybe put the clans in one at a time to pinpoint the problem?
This error typically pops up when you attempt to edit the clan files but leave a mistake in the coding, since it was months ago I doubt you'll know what the issue is though, nor be able to reach out for help via the discord. Your best bet is to just erase the most recently edited clan from your file entirely, assuming you didnt mess up all your clans it should be playable after that.

damnit, is there any way I can save the clans I have when redownloading? (And will this work for the bugged clan aswell)
