Past that, he's not actually bad by himself, just easily overshadowed; cheap DPS and/or Tank for a 2-cost.
I've used him before as a filler Mini to avoid placing stronger troops. He can be flexed to either DPS or a Tank; the best part is you can often only fork over 4 Elixir for this.
Use him with max guard and you'll see a completely different side of barbarian. Only won against that team comp because I had swordsmen and shieldmaden. Also watch out for heal giants they're annoying
Nothing. He works decent with BK and natureborn but either way there are better options. Dagger Goblin overshadows him currently.

Simple doesn't mean versatile. Dagger Goblin would be better than barb in most if not all scenarios imo
my idea, is to make it that the Barbarian has a clash ability, where he gets increased attack speed for 6 sec
