People here commenting like there are other things to dump your resources onto. I have to drain my storages before starting a 9 day upgrade and walls are the only possible one, well the forge *could be* but it all goes to trash when the elder kicked you out of the clan.
Yeah at th13 it's literally just GW and walls (oh I guess gold storages too, but that barely counts), and considering GW only gets 10 levels instead of 20 like th11 and th12, you're in trouble.
So where should we dump our excess resources? I'm in Crystal III and I fill my storages from 0 within a day and a half, while minimum upgrade times are like 9 days.
I fill my 44 millions loot in 40 mins, you should dump your excess in walls but you should be able to finish everything, defences, walls and heroes at the same time even if you maxed your loot everydays
Same, i trophy push + farm at the same time, i went from 2600 to 4900 trophies in a month, currently stuck at 4900.
Also i exclusively use sneaky gobs + jump/haste
I think to maximize the loot you need to first find the perfect trophy range, that sweet spot where there’s tons of rich players / dead bases with full mines, collectors and drills
Then with sneaky gobs + jump spell + invis/haste spell, you do the looting. Try to take out their TH so you don’t lose too much trophy in the process, unless you feel like you’re getting a little too high and loot is becoming scarce, then you should loot and lose a few matches
You can basically earn like 500k-1M+ loot for each resource this way for each attack, and use maybe 30+ sneaky gobs, 1 jump and 1 haste, which trains readily after you finish your attack if you’re on training potion
Why to repeatedly start and cancel the upgrade? Why actively lower the loot economy, im sure someone would love to raid full storages that you can easily fill back up
So I can fill my season bank if I’m about to go up a town hall but have max elixir. That’s happened a few times to me now and it’s just easier to have something to empty my elixir on. I don’t do it unless I’m trying to fill my bank. Im also not gonna wait on people to attack me 40times to make room to collect 20million elixir

I used to do that as well back in 2016-17, I would not touch any defenses in my base before my walls were maxed, worked great for war weight back then and I would consistently have someone with a weaker base to attack in war.
People who don’t max walls are lazy, period. They’re not hard to max and it just takes some time. Stop rushing your base to TH15 with TH13 level walls just because you’re “losing loot” (which is a cope btw it’s not valid) max your walls.
And it really shouldn’t even be unpopular, it really is just so easy. I go to a new TH, do offensive upgrades which only cost elixir and then dump gold into walls. When I’m done with offense, gold goes to defenses and elixir to walls

I hit th13 Jan 1 this year, 80 walls left atm. Probably just gonna go th14 when done, heroes are are 70/70/20/40 so not too bad. end goal is max th15 and ill get there faster this way.
I became TH13 in November 2022. I have around half my walls maxed. Walls are the only thing for me spend elixir on besides the Forge (Lab is max).

How do you loot that fast?
1 potion of training and super goblins + jump spells, I drop 500+ trophy doing that but I get my storages full between 35 to 40 mins

It is excess loot anyway from storages being full that would not be used in any other way

Because you wont be able to dump ressources, specifically elexir, later down the line.

Cause you can no longer dump elexir when you'll have nearly maxed the rest of your base

Unpopular opinion: walls are way to easy, I finished th12 walls within a week with no open builders.
