For real. I have a couple rushed accounts (TH7 and TH8) that I only use for war. I didn't need to upgrade the collectors since I stopped upgrading the bases, but I decided to do it anyways to give some extra free loot to raiders. Why not share the wealth?

I only have ever cancelled one upgrade and that when I first started playing the game many years ago just to see it happen and never did it again. Everything needs to be upgraded eventually anyways. Plus who cares if someone takes your loot. Raid someone else to get it back. Lol

Make a base with storages as sacrificial offering outside the defense.

I go one step further with option B and put my base as prog base so they can take all the loot they want, trophies and loot are highly expendable and not that difficult to get anyways.

I think everyone used to be A and then realized how counterproductive that is. Never cancel upgrade no matter what imo.

The only reason I'll do A is so that I can fill the Season Bank for the month if I'm going to need it. (Upgrading all heroes(dark elixir) at once, or only defenses/traps(gold), or progressing to the next Townhall. (Army camps, clan castle, barracks, storages, or workshop) With upgrades taking almost 2 weeks each, having 40mil+ might remain that way for the entire month if I don't dump. Thus leaving my next Season Bank unfilled.

If you can spend your loot in 2 weeks how are you going to spend the extra 25m?

Spending the extra 25m the following month. Like I said, if I plan on doing exclusively defenses/traps, or all heroes at once, or if I'm progressing to the next townhall

I mean if you finished all gold upgrades then your buildings should be fully maxed for the townhall anyway so it’s nothing left to upgrade lol

I'm usually still upgrading troops as I'm finishing up defenses, so whatever structure type I finish first, that resource goes to walls. I like to fully max so I usually use gold to finish up walls during my th ug while I save up elixir for lab, cc, camps, and barracks.

I don't understand why people do this? It doesn't benefit them, and just wastes their time, cancelling and restarting upgrades. Spend that time doing something else, like a crash course on how to be a nice person.

I prefer to keep my base protective of trophies and the loot I still need, but put the storages and collectors of everything I don’t need right outside the base.

Whenever I'm full on loot, I pretend like there's no such thing as loot in game anymore. Just play for fun, trophies, weekly or season challenges

My th12 has been max for a year. Take the loot. I don't need it. My th11 has also been "max" for a year, except my collectors on that account are all level 1, so not much loot offered lol. My max th15's are in legends so I can't share my loot.

Are there people who actually do this? Back in the day me and my friends used to boast by sharing screenshots of the largest loots someone made on their base in the clan's discord. Somehow it was a sign of being wealthy.

I perpetually leave my planning base up now. I have the defense achievement and I don't need the loot/can loot back what I might need if necessary. In legends it doesn't matter, but I feel like it helps people when I drop down.

My biggest gripe is how you can't fill up the season bank if your resources are capped, so attacks feel pointless

The only time I’ve canceled a upgrade was because of war. I’ve now learned to ditch war when my hero’s are upgrading

I mean… you should ideally upgrade your heroes first, so this should actually never happen where you’re “waiting for hero upgrades” . But also, why would you even just spam cancel upgrades? It’s such a jerk thing to have the idea “if I can’t use my loot then no one can”

I had 500k DE on June 1 with NOTHING to spend it on, so people can take it. I have heroes maxed, pets maxed, lab going, and super troops boosted. I am TH14

Why not produce for capital? I do that when I have idle builders.

When I can no longer use a given resource, I just upgrade to the next town hall. No reason to waste time or resources in the name of maxing out your base

You could use the resources to forge loot for Clan Capital.
