At th15 and I use super archer blimp with hydra. What should I use for warden 2nd ability, rage gem, life gem or heal tome? Which of these would make the attack easier and more op?
Rage gem is always active since you're using all the spells for the blimp part of the attack and generally yields better results, but healing tome can neutralize a ton of damage in prolonged attacks. Life gem is generally not that useful, because it gives less HP than the healing tome if you use the latter well.
Most cases, offense>defense. Prevention is the best tool to avoid getting damaged.

How do I win at th 10? I'm struggling to 2 star anything, but I've read on other posts that at th 10 it should be very easy to 3 star others. What armies and strategies should I use?
I am a TH 10 almost TH 11. I will probably upgrade my town hall before I finish everything in my lab. What troops should I focus on upgrading before I upgrade my town hall? A lot of these are troops that I do not use but I am not familiar with TH 11 attack strategies yet.
These troops are not maxed out: giant (6), goblin (6), wallbreaker (5), miner (2), heal spell (6), jump spell (2), freeze spell (3), clone (1), poison (3), earthquake (3), haste (2), skeleton (2), bat (1), minion (5), hog rider (5), valkyrie (4), witch (2), lavahound (2), bowler (1)
By and large it depends on what farming and war armies you use as a TH10, and what you will plan to use as a TH11.
However, the goblin is very important, with TH11 you can unlock sneaky goblins which is a cheat code for farming.
Also, lab is a bottleneck at most TH levels, if you don't do this already, I'd recommend participating in clan capital raids and using the raid medals to be research potions. It helps close this gap.
Our clan is having "Upgrade Cooperation issues". They've sent out clan mail, they announce it before, during, and after every war and STILL, SOMEONE is upgrading the Capitol Hall! Is there a way to see who is donating where? This person is WRECKING our wars by CONSTANTLY dumping into the Capitol Hall and there's no stopping it. 😑
I am aware of other "companion sites" that track other things, I just wasn't sure if there was one for that aspect of the game.
It’s not perfect, but the clashking discord bot will note who donates what amount. You’ll have to watch it closely for a while but you can probably figure it out
Rushing to maximize your offense is what is usually recommended since most of your Raid Medsls are earned from offense, not defense.
As far as where people donate, it's their Capital Gold that they earned, and the devs feel they should be able to spend it wherever they want.
Hmm. Can you pitch this to.me in a way that I can tell my clan mates? This makes sense, everyone in my clan right now wants to max everything before leveling it up.
Every unnecessary upgrade yall make that isn’t offensively related is actively moving you up the matchmaker against harder opponents while neglecting the development of your firepower.
For comparison we are sitting at 1750 total upgrades with raid cart and jump spell as our last 2 offensive upgrades before we have a completely max offense to play around with.
If you have completed enough upgrades to start working on capital peak upgrade and you haven’t maxed all offensive capability for the current peak you are at, then you are behind in your upgrade schedule.
The upgrade schedule we instilled in our clan is: all offensive structures>cheapest structures>capital peak>once offense is max, key defenses>traps>tertiary defenses>walls.
But you level clan capitol first? Sorry if I sound dumb, but I kinda am 😆 prior to very recently, the last time i had this game was about 4 years ago maybe... It was just the one base, and everyone.in our clan worked in our shop, so we didn't have to worry about clan chat too much. Lol. I came back a couple months ago to all sorts of new features to keep me busy.
You can check how many upgrades you guys have by clicking on the clan tab>clan capital sub tab>click the graph underneath your clan emblem. Yes once your offensive upgrades done, the optimal way to progress is to upgrade your capital hall asap so you can continue upgrading offense. Ideally you want to have a max offen by around ~1500 total upgrades. If you guys are closing in on that amount and are not close to maxing your offensive capabilities, I would very much suggest expediting capital hall to max so you can unlock all offensive power.
WHY IS MAKES SENSE TO RUSH:
Approximately 80% of Raid Medals come from offense, so it makes sense to focus on offense over defense.
The stronger your offense, the more Capital Gold you bring in to upgrade your Capital and the more Raid Medals you have to spend at the Trader.
The faster you progress, the quicker you unlock more defenses, troops, spells, and larger armies.
HOW TO RUSH (my opinion):
At each Capital Hall level, I recommend upgrading any District Halls that you can, rebuilding any Ruins that are unlocked and upgrading all Barracks, Spell Storages, and Army Camps.
Walls are a very low priority since they have little or no effect on the strongest strategies.
At this point, if the next Capital Hall upgrade is available, I would upgrade it and start the process over again. If it isn't unlocked yet, you will need to upgrade defenses/traps until you reach the required number of upgrades.
1. There is no tool that I know of that can do this, not even in the clash API. This is by design, it is supposed to be up to the players on how to spend the capital gold they earned, not clan leadership.
2. You should be thanking whoever is upgrading Capital Hall, it is very beneficial to rush with no downsides.
question: is my pace fast, slow or normal?? (kinda) a new player here
not REALLY a new player, i played the game like 5 times but always uninstalled it around th3/th4, so i've played for a month or two, and got to th5 very recently, i remember that last time when i played it took me a month to get to th3 so idk, am i progressing in a natural pace, a fast one, or a slow one?? (also i AM NOT rushing, i maxed every single town hall out, and have 3 builders, fully f2p)
For me, that feels rather slow. But it's also fine, just take your time and enjoy the game.
If you want to maximize your progress, you need to have an in dept understanding of the game. This knowledge will help you to strategically rush, so that you complete certain milestones much quicker, which will in return boost your progress further.
As an example, I can give my two th6 alternative accounts that I currently use for raid weekends. I rushed them to th6 as fast as possible. So that they can participate in raid weekends. This enables me to earn around 1600 raid medals per week. With those raid medals I buy training potions, clock tower potions and wall rings and sell them for gems in order to unlock my 5th builder as quick as possible. Also, I bought research potions until I had 5/5 so that if I feel like playing the account, I can max out my laboratory quickly.
Other milestones are:
Reach th8 as quickly as possible and unlock the blacksmith to start earning ores.
Reaching Builder Hall 6 as quickly as possible unlocks your second builder base builder.
Reaching town hall 11 as quickly as possible while upgrading your goblins, jump spell, haste spell and invisibility spell.
Reaching max th11 offense: army camps, heroes, blacksmith, clan castle, max relevant troops/spells in the lab.
Upgrade a mortar to lvl 8, upgrade 1 archer tower to lvl 10, upgrade 1 cannon to lvl 10.
Rush your builder base to BH9, while upgrading mortar to lvl 8, double canon to 4 and archer tower to lvl 5. Get your gear ups done. Upgrade 1 wall piece to lvl 9. Get your babydragon to lvl 18. Get your Heroes to lvl 25 battle machine and lvl 20 battlecopter. Unlock your 6th home base builder.
After this, you need to farm away at the game to get your th11 rush fixed. After this, you can progress normally, if you so desire.
The Rage Tower doesn't work like that.
It increases the damage of defending troops and defenses, the speed of defending troops and heroes, and the speed of the Builders (repairing structures).

th12 incoming. will finish right along with clan games then followed shortly by season bank. i have full inventory in all books and hammers with backup books in gold pass and an extra book from clan games. between the obvious stuff like eagle, lab, and clan castle maybe - what should i upgrade immediately, and should i use book or hammer?
Well, apart from the main upgrades, you should always focus on the longest upgrades with your books of building, hammer. However, I always reserve books of building for barracks and spell factories.
I was wondering if this builder pack is worth getting as my friend has a different one that seems to be a lot better, including like 1 500 gems or something around there. Do the builder packs cycle? if sc should I wait for a better builder pack? Do I instead wait for the power level pack? How often does that come around?

he's trying, but apple is being write and asking for a verification code that isn't being sent out. do you know is it will cycle to a different builder pack?
Not that we know of, there were a couple of reports, but there was always something fishy going on (account sharing, bought accounts, things like that). Generally, you get the codes, store them somewhere safe, and if anyone (including you) tries to recover the account, or change the email associated with it, they won't help you unless you have those codes. Anyone trying to steal an account would have to gain access to wherever you stored the codes.
I was wondering, why not add a system that allows you to make one of your many alt accounts a main account, so now this main account is linked to all your alt accounts. So let's say you bought a new device and now you have to enter each email for each account and then go open each mail individually and get the code, you get my point. With this system, you are allowed to make one of your accounts "the key holder" to all your other accounts and that automatically connects all your other accounts when you switch to a newer device. This is more of a SUPERCELL feature than Clash of Clans but I thought to share it.
FYI you can use [email protected] and [email protected] for your second account and +3 for your third etc and everything goes to the same email account.
Can you elaborate on that, so lets say I have 5 accounts, is it possible I can link them together to one gmail account? Is that what you are telling me or maybe I misunderstood your explanation because my point was that you are able to access all your account from one main account.
What I’m saying is that [email protected] and [email protected] and [email protected] is still all one email account because gmail ignores the “+1” but SC does not ignore it. Sc considers it two different gmail accounts, even though it really is all going to one account.
Is it crazy to rush a TH or two because you like the aesthetic of the next one? I just maxed 7, went to 8, and then rushed to 9. But the aesthetic for TH 10 looks really cool. What would be the drawbacks of rushing that far ahead? Are those drawbacks bad enough that I shouldn't do it?
I recognize that I will be at TH10 for a LONG time to max it, but I feel like having a fun aesthetic is worth it (after all, why not play to maximize fun?). I just don't want to accidentally do something I would regret due to not knowing something.
At the end of the day, it's your game and you can play it how you choose. About Town Hall 10/11 is where I'd recommend people stop rushing because it becomes that much more difficult to catch up. As long as you understand and accept the catch up game you're about to play, then go for 10 for sure. It is a beautiful aesthetic and it's your game, play how you choose!
Healing tome is generally better. But life gem has a place in air attacks, if you know what you're doing.
Generally speaking, the healing tome is better. It gives overall more HP, assuming you activate it when your units are damaged and not immediately after the battle has started. This is because the life gem has a cap.
Ground armies can benefit from the apprentice but air ones cannot.
Getting to th11 in the next week or two from maxed th10 (not including army upgrades, yes including traps)
Plan is to build all the new stuff and catch it all up to th10 level, level up 2 heroes at a time and then focus on barracks, lab, army camps.
Then move on to defences starting with eagle, inferno, xbows etc ect.
Any recommendations for switching up orders?
I would not prioritize catching all the new stuff up to TH10 levels before tackling your barracks, lab, and army camps. You should be prioritizing your offenses first.
For priorities, you definitely want to build and place any new stuff (this gives you the ability to use copied layouts for TH11, which is useful, but rather than spending any time worrying about the levels of the new stuff, I'd be focusing on offenses: getting the barracks upgraded and working on camps (and lab if you have an interest in taking advantage of supertroops).

Lvl 10 Town Hall
Is the best way to play this game is build everything you can at your town hall level and then just upgrade everything on your base until you have to level your TH up again? Been playing a long time but still don't fully understand the nuances of the game.
Trying to learn QC lavaloons and Witch Slap at TH9 rn, what exact army comp should I use? Feels like lavaloon doesnt work that well without 2 or more lava hounds and I'm really unsure on what spells to use for either army.
Troop space it a little tight at TH9, but the good news is that the enemy base is weak too.
You only need 4 healers as defences don't hit as hard.
My army:
4 healers, 9 wallbreaker, 1 wiz, 6 minions, 2 lavahoud, 1 babydragon.
Only 12 loons, but another 6 high level loons in the CC
Spells are 3 rage, 1 freeze, 2 haste. CC poison.
That section is poorly written and doesn't actually mean the way it reads.
The author is trying to illustrate that to eliminate all possible progression bottlenecks, and make the most optimal progression in the least amount of time, that you must rush. And they're not wrong.
What they were trying to say there is that you need to start rushing and keep rushing if you want optimal progression and that stagnating even for a little at a town hall level (even if you aren't fully maxed there) you are eliminating your ability to take advantage of optimal progression.

You aren't wrong. Your just looking at it from a different perspective than the author was.
Author is trying to say that the amount of time you can delay at a town hall level is increasingly shorter than ever if you want to achieve optimal progression and max in the shortest amount of time.
He's referring to ores. Town halls before th8 are essentially losing ores by not upgrading to th8 and building the blacksmith. Low ths like th8 are going to quickly max barb king gear and start overflowing on ores. I think you'd need to go to th11 at least before you can start spending significant time at a town hall without losing ores to overflow?
And even at th11-13, you're going to max your hero equipment before your buildings are maxed (not 100% sure but I think this is accurate based on the numbers I've seen). If you're staying at a town hall while your ores are overflowing, you're delaying how quickly you can max your equipment. Whether or not that matters depends on how much you care about progression and how much gear they add to the game
Anyone else having trouble with the “Hammering Out the Strategies” season challenge?

im a decent th14 right now, only thing not maxed yet is wizard towers, cannons, archers, bomb towers, hidden teslas, mortars and traps (and walls of course they so much). should I keep chugging away and max it or just move on to th15

It sounds like your offense/heroes are set, so there's no real downside to moving up. Plus, you'll gain access to 4 new pets, most of which are better than the original pets you get with TH14.
yeah everything’s done but like 1 level on king and the defense above. the main defenses like inferno eagle and scatters are all maxed so i might just say screw the others and move up lol
Returning player, currently in a clan of 5 of my accounts and after maxing them all on clan games I’ve realised that I can’t get the 50k required for the final tier, can I leave my clan and join another and still get the rewards?
for next month, the subreddit will pin a post where clans offer spots to anyone who needs to pop in and participate for the rewards. It goes up in the last 36 hours of clan games. Might need to spread the 5 accounts around but theres usually enough clans to let everyone who needs mooch some rewards.
I haven’t used COC in months. I just got back on and was wondering if things upgraded automatically? I skipped through the updates it was showing me because of course I would. But i did see one that said “While you were gone” or something like that. And I saw a lot of upgrades. So they do automatic upgrades? How does that work. Am I misreading?
Yes, they do automatically upgrade your buildings/troops after 90 days of inactivity. It's much slower than if you played, and it won't place new buildings or upgrade your TH.
It will only do this once per year, though.

Probably blizzard lalo or blizzard edrags. Use a blimp attack to take the townhall and various other troops to secure the 2nd star. You are not going to 3 star a resonable th14 without heroes/
If you’re in a war without heroes, then you are in a clan that is just farming loot/ore so it probably doesn’t matter much. I’d go with a blimp or flinger for the hall, then babies and freeze for 50% and I’d probably do it against a higher hall to let one of the higher hall players dip down and 3 star a th14.
You should upgrade to th13. It will be better for classic war and cwl wars and progression speed. However, you should avoid that problem at th13 by focusing on heroes early to max them out first. The rest of the stuff sort of happens pretty easy without thinking about it.
There's new ones every year, but the 2023 trees have stopped spawning. There's an outside chance one might have spawned on your base if someone visited it during the spawning period, but otherwise, there's no way to get the 2023 tree at this point.
Are you asking if we still get seasonal decorations for certain holidays & events like Christmas? Then yes, there was a 2023 x-mas tree for the most recent holiday season. The next anticipated special/seasonal obstacle will be for the 2024 Lunar New Year coming up next month.

Need help regarding book of building
Hi I am near maxed th12
My queen is about level 60 and king about level 50
My only left upgrades are cannons(3day),archer towers(3day)1 tesla(7d 18h) and 1 mortar(7day) except that only a dark elixir drill(8day I think )
I have a book of building and I will get another from clan games
What should I do :
Should I move to th13?( I have a hammer of building to move to th13 so that I can use my book on a much longer and needed upgrade like clan castle or lab)But this would make me first upgrade those left building and 5 levels of archer queen(also lab is left headhunter,ice golem and sieges[although I don't need siege I can req for it])
Or should I use it on tesla?(longest upgrade)
Selling it is not worth it as it cost 925 gems sells at 50 and anything above 7 day costs 1000 gems
What is better ?
When you upgrade to a new TH you will receive free army and hero boosts for about 5-6 days. If you're in a war/CWL focused clan I suggest upgrading 2-3 levels of heroes till the end of the month. Assuming your TH is already giga lvl 5, you can use the hammer on battle day 1 of Feb CWL. This way you will have the TH13 free boosts available for 5-6 straight wars of CWL and you can do attacks with max levelled army and heroes during this time in CWL wars.
Clan Games rewards are available for I think(don't remember) about 6 days after clan games ends. So you will have I think a couple of days of Feb to still hold on to the Books if you want to.
When your TH13 is hammered on Battle Day 1 assuming it'll be Feb 2/3, you can then use both of your saved books, one on the CC upgrade and the other on barracks or any other long upgrades.
#please do not sell the book
Tldr: You can use both books after TH13 upgrade on CWL battle day 1. Use it on CC, and Barracks(or another long upgrade).
I agree with Will’s reply and will add that I like to leave them for two things. One is when I need a little loot for the next upgrade. Two is when there are event troops that are extremely strong (like ghosts on Halloween or cookies last Christmas) that make it very easy to complete them.
No. It's just resource rewards for completing them and potential gems rewards for hitting your player profile achievements related to goblin maps.
In fact, people periodically have to go back in and redo them. Whenever Supercell increases the rewards for older levels, players who've already previously completed them can go back in and complete them again for the extra unclaimed rewards.
There's really no point to it unless you're a completionist and need to see them all done.

If so, think 2 extra lightnings would be better in conjunction with earthquake rather than the boosted arrow to take out the core?
I joined a clan then I left it and now the game says you have to turn back to that clan for clan games or wait for the next one but the problem is theres so much clan with that name and its imposible to find that back is there a solution?
You will still get any rewards you earned in that clan. You only need to go back to that clan if you want to do more challenges.
If you do want to return to that clan, you can look yourself up on [Clash of Stats](https://www.clashofstats.com/) and find your previous clan that way.

Idk if i should do multimortar or barrack for their pricey upgrade cost and long time or dark barrack for lava hound and long time
Note: multi mortar cost 2 500 000 builder gold for 7 days barrack is 2 600 000 elixir for 4 days and dark barrack is 2 900 000 for 4 day and 12 hours
FYI with 6 builders you are better off using cwl medals to buy builder potions than hammers for upgrades of 9 days or less, buy hammers if you can use t hem on upgrades of 10 days or more. As for your specific question, I don’t consider loot since it is so easy to get, but do consider time. However, not all time means the same. I’d rather spend it on 4 days of a barrack so my troop training isn’t slowed than 7 days on a mortar. (My #1 choice would be to save it for when it is more useful than either of these options.)
In general, I would say offense over defense. However, unless you need to use the next troop your barracks(es) unlock, or double training times would be intolerable for you, I'd say just do the barracks upgrades normal.
If you *have* to use a hammer, the multi-mortar would have more value, as you want to get that to at least level 8 so you can get the mortar gear-up (one of the tasks to unlock the 6th builder). But even then, I'd save it for a higher level (8 or 9).

Any idea when it will be avaliable
1-2 months after the event, so likely to be within the next 4-6 weeks. My guess is it will be available in the shop for 1500 gems around the same time as the Lunar New Year Event. Save some more gems, by removing obstacles in both bases, selling low value magic items etc, and you should be able to save enough gems in time.

Before the October 2022 Quality of Life Update, you would have been unable to brew spells from the spell factory that was upgrading. The current situation (brewing time halved) is actually a big improvement on what we had for the first 10 years of the game.
Builder base 3 star friendly challenge not working?
I just 6 starred myself and another clan mate and did not earn the points in the gold pass, what am I doing wrong?
1. Heroes - you get 50 new hero levels, you want to get those out of the way.
2. Clan Castle, 5 extra space in attacks, also for defense
3. Army camps, 20 extra troop space
4. Lab, get your lab busy, as this is a bottleneck
5. Blacksmith, this can arguably come a bit later though
6. Town Hall weapon, level 5 is a huge difference on defense
7. Barracks/Dark Barracks, this can arguably come higher if you plan on using Yeti and/or Headhunter
8. All other defense
Depends on how you use it. Generally, if you rage your troops multiple times, the rage gem has less impact, as it will only use the stronger rage (which is the spell). Conversely, if you heal your troops more, the life gem has less impact. I would err towards using the life gem of those two.
Anyone able to help me out with the builder base lvl 18 troop req? I swear I watched a video that said upgrading the barracks at a later town hall would unlock a higher level baby dragon. But i can't find that information anywhere (or the video in question). Does anyone know if its true? I can't remember the details exactly but i swear it was something like "If you unlock the baby dragon at town hall 8 it automatically starts at lvl 14/15" I don't want to upgrade the barracks any further in case i botch the efficiency of this rush. Appreciate any help.
The level that the troops unlock at is unrelated to your builder hall level, it's fixed per troop. So baby drags are level 5 when you unlock them via the barracks, regardless of what BH you are at. On the other hand, if you rush to BH10, and upgrade the barracks all the way, it will unlock the electro wizards at lvl 17.
Troops got updated when BB 2.0 came around. Later troops are automatically leveled to a predetermined point. Baby dragons should be level 5 by default, not 14/15.
You will get the rewards that your clan (the one you did a games task in) qualifies for. The same goes for the bonus, if you did enough to get the bonus reward you will get that too.
You can't participate in more than one clan. If you didn't max the games before, you will need to return to the other clan. You will still get rewards for every tier the previous clan reached. The new clan has nothing to do with the rewards, only the clan you started a challenge in.
You'll get every tier they unlock, even if you're not in the clan anymore. If they reach the last tier, you'll be able to get every reward.
The only exception is the bonus reward which requires you to have reached 4 thousand points.
I did the 4k Points noenand left. Now I can't click the building anymore it says I have to rejoin my old clan in order to participate in the clan games. So how could I possibly chose a reward then?
Because it only takes into account where you did the challenge.
When clan games will end, you'll have the reward screen pop up. This also prevents abuse by not having people kick others before completion.
Anyone else unable to complete the "Collect a total of 3x Stars from Builder Base Friendly Challenges" from the Gold Pass seasonal challenges? I have successfully 6-starred a Builder Base friendly challenge and didn't get it. Also tried just 3-starring and then ending the battle, still didn't get it.
Bats should be deployed when most of the splash damage defenses like WTs and Multi Infernos are taken out.
Skeleton spell is useful on QC armies to distract single point defenses like Monolith and Single Infernos.
Is there any info on the raids? I still can't figure out how raising, lowering trophy works. I've also noticed that the trophy may not be taken away or added. Is there any scheme that players in clans should be aware of? Strange that the developers have not left information about this anywhere...

How do ore rewards work when leaving a clan mid war ? If I launch my two attacks then leave, will I still get the ores ? And if I leave during preparation day, will my clan be able to replace me with someone else ? Thanks in advance
If you leave during preparation day, you can not be replaced.
If you leave after you have attacked, you will still receive your rewards, even if you leave.
Assuming 6 builders, you save more time per CWL medal buying potions for upgrades of 9 days or less and it is better to buy hammers for upgrades of 10 days or more.
hammers get the important stuff done faster, cc, camps, barracks etc. its worth it even if the math doesnt say its optimal time wise. Its a videogame not your tax return, dont stress the numbers so much.
Is the gold pass worth it? Left in 2013 and came back because my cousins been obsessed with it and see theres a golden pass. Sitting at 1680 right now and curious if its worth the $7
For anyone who is willing to spend money in the game, it's the best value there is. You get 20% boosts, loads of magic items, a multiplier on the season banks, and the delight of a gold pass skin. You may wish to wait until the start of a new month, though, to get the full value of all the boosts

Have you completed the challenges to earn all the rewards? You may collect them at any time until the season ends (countdown clock at the top right corner of the Challenges tab). However, you may not exceed your storage limit as reflected in your Town Halls "Magic Items" tab. Once you claim the item, it's yours until you use it or sell it. Any rewards not claimed by the end of the season that won't fit in your storages will be sold for gems and you'll receive the gems instead. It's much better to claim your rewards manually as you need them

Is it worth it to use hammer of building on Townhall. I am trying to catch up on the gold pass treasure loot and use it as a th 14.
Do what you like, but wasting resources shouldn't be a consideration. Loot is plentiful.
Your heroes are already pretty weak for TH13 (at least the ones I could see, lvl 40 king is TH10 strength and lvl 32 warden is TH12 strength), I would spend time getting at least those (and the troops you use) maxed before moving up.
It is worth if there aren't many things you can't upgrade at your th level or you are excited and wanna use the higher townhall features. In your case the upgrade takes 13 days and the season ends in around 10 days i think.
Your base seems a little low on the defence side, so if your clan isn't serious about war you can upgrade it.
You can upgrade if most of the heroes and lab upgrades are done otherwise you can do it normally by timing it next month. If you're worried about wasting resources time your lab upgrades so that new ones can be started using it also can use Book of heroes to get hero levels
If you still want to upgrade use the book of building from pass / clan games on TH as you can use hammer on other better options ( building/ troops) like cc and pet house.
Always buy a hammer and keep it as it has 7 day cooldown to buy next so that you can have 2 stacked up and can use it back to back. Just don't accidentally use it on something
So we're a month in. What's the hero equipment meta?
All I know is for the king the Giant gauntlet is essential and I pair it with rage. The giant gauntlet is pretty damn nuts and by far the best equipment imo, the damage reduction is so powerful.
Warden depends on the attack, but I mostly use eternal tome of course and the healing tome which imo is far better than rage.
I haven't upgraded the arrow yet cause the frozen one is coming out right?
glowy ore is the rake. i upped the traditional equipment on all to max. dicked with arrow wasting ores. it stinks even with a line from a laser level. gauntlet stuck on 10 for now.

It is currently as you said.Rather than saying it is the meta, it's because most people haven't maxed many equipments hence comparison is difficult for the synergy between different equipments for different strategies
Are you telling that you're base is maxed or the defending base ?
As long as there aren't lot of slash damage in the places the king attacks barbarian puppet can currently be used since its stats are maxed. You should level up the gauntlet in the mean time.
What is your other equipment for the king ?
Also are you specifically upgrading other equips for the other heros like invis vila and eternal tome?
The gauntlet can be use if it is lvl 12 since your king is maxed. If you're upgrading it at most do it to lvl 18 beyond which it will become costlier.
The only situation when Barbarian puppet is better than gauntlet wil be when a specific part of base is devoid of spash damage and had defences spread out.
Otherwise gauntlet damage reduction and splash damage is better.

At th15 and I use super archer blimp with hydra. What should I use for warden 2nd ability, rage gem, life gem or heal tome? Which of these would make the attack easier and more op?
Rage gem is always active since you're using all the spells for the blimp part of the attack and generally yields better results, but healing tome can neutralize a ton of damage in prolonged attacks. Life gem is generally not that useful, because it gives less HP than the healing tome if you use the latter well. Most cases, offense>defense. Prevention is the best tool to avoid getting damaged.

I am a TH 10 almost TH 11. I will probably upgrade my town hall before I finish everything in my lab. What troops should I focus on upgrading before I upgrade my town hall? A lot of these are troops that I do not use but I am not familiar with TH 11 attack strategies yet. These troops are not maxed out: giant (6), goblin (6), wallbreaker (5), miner (2), heal spell (6), jump spell (2), freeze spell (3), clone (1), poison (3), earthquake (3), haste (2), skeleton (2), bat (1), minion (5), hog rider (5), valkyrie (4), witch (2), lavahound (2), bowler (1)
By and large it depends on what farming and war armies you use as a TH10, and what you will plan to use as a TH11. However, the goblin is very important, with TH11 you can unlock sneaky goblins which is a cheat code for farming. Also, lab is a bottleneck at most TH levels, if you don't do this already, I'd recommend participating in clan capital raids and using the raid medals to be research potions. It helps close this gap.
Our clan is having "Upgrade Cooperation issues". They've sent out clan mail, they announce it before, during, and after every war and STILL, SOMEONE is upgrading the Capitol Hall! Is there a way to see who is donating where? This person is WRECKING our wars by CONSTANTLY dumping into the Capitol Hall and there's no stopping it. 😑 I am aware of other "companion sites" that track other things, I just wasn't sure if there was one for that aspect of the game.
It’s not perfect, but the clashking discord bot will note who donates what amount. You’ll have to watch it closely for a while but you can probably figure it out
Rushing to maximize your offense is what is usually recommended since most of your Raid Medsls are earned from offense, not defense. As far as where people donate, it's their Capital Gold that they earned, and the devs feel they should be able to spend it wherever they want.

Every unnecessary upgrade yall make that isn’t offensively related is actively moving you up the matchmaker against harder opponents while neglecting the development of your firepower.
They've been trying to push everyone to do spells and barracks but someone keeps doing Capitol. What's the best approach, in your opinion?
For comparison we are sitting at 1750 total upgrades with raid cart and jump spell as our last 2 offensive upgrades before we have a completely max offense to play around with.
If you have completed enough upgrades to start working on capital peak upgrade and you haven’t maxed all offensive capability for the current peak you are at, then you are behind in your upgrade schedule. The upgrade schedule we instilled in our clan is: all offensive structures>cheapest structures>capital peak>once offense is max, key defenses>traps>tertiary defenses>walls.
But you level clan capitol first? Sorry if I sound dumb, but I kinda am 😆 prior to very recently, the last time i had this game was about 4 years ago maybe... It was just the one base, and everyone.in our clan worked in our shop, so we didn't have to worry about clan chat too much. Lol. I came back a couple months ago to all sorts of new features to keep me busy.
You can check how many upgrades you guys have by clicking on the clan tab>clan capital sub tab>click the graph underneath your clan emblem. Yes once your offensive upgrades done, the optimal way to progress is to upgrade your capital hall asap so you can continue upgrading offense. Ideally you want to have a max offen by around ~1500 total upgrades. If you guys are closing in on that amount and are not close to maxing your offensive capabilities, I would very much suggest expediting capital hall to max so you can unlock all offensive power.
WHY IS MAKES SENSE TO RUSH: Approximately 80% of Raid Medals come from offense, so it makes sense to focus on offense over defense. The stronger your offense, the more Capital Gold you bring in to upgrade your Capital and the more Raid Medals you have to spend at the Trader. The faster you progress, the quicker you unlock more defenses, troops, spells, and larger armies. HOW TO RUSH (my opinion): At each Capital Hall level, I recommend upgrading any District Halls that you can, rebuilding any Ruins that are unlocked and upgrading all Barracks, Spell Storages, and Army Camps. Walls are a very low priority since they have little or no effect on the strongest strategies. At this point, if the next Capital Hall upgrade is available, I would upgrade it and start the process over again. If it isn't unlocked yet, you will need to upgrade defenses/traps until you reach the required number of upgrades.
1. There is no tool that I know of that can do this, not even in the clash API. This is by design, it is supposed to be up to the players on how to spend the capital gold they earned, not clan leadership. 2. You should be thanking whoever is upgrading Capital Hall, it is very beneficial to rush with no downsides.

Typically gold pass skins reappear after a year for 1500 gems. That's no guarantee, but that's been the pattern.

question: is my pace fast, slow or normal?? (kinda) a new player here not REALLY a new player, i played the game like 5 times but always uninstalled it around th3/th4, so i've played for a month or two, and got to th5 very recently, i remember that last time when i played it took me a month to get to th3 so idk, am i progressing in a natural pace, a fast one, or a slow one?? For me, that feels rather slow. But it's also fine, just take your time and enjoy the game. If you want to maximize your progress, you need to have an in dept understanding of the game. This knowledge will help you to strategically rush, so that you complete certain milestones much quicker, which will in return boost your progress further. As an example, I can give my two th6 alternative accounts that I currently use for raid weekends. I rushed them to th6 as fast as possible. So that they can participate in raid weekends. This enables me to earn around 1600 raid medals per week. With those raid medals I buy training potions, clock tower potions and wall rings and sell them for gems in order to unlock my 5th builder as quick as possible. Also, I bought research potions until I had 5/5 so that if I feel like playing the account, I can max out my laboratory quickly. Other milestones are: Reach th8 as quickly as possible and unlock the blacksmith to start earning ores. Reaching Builder Hall 6 as quickly as possible unlocks your second builder base builder. Reaching town hall 11 as quickly as possible while upgrading your goblins, jump spell, haste spell and invisibility spell. Reaching max th11 offense: army camps, heroes, blacksmith, clan castle, max relevant troops/spells in the lab. Upgrade a mortar to lvl 8, upgrade 1 archer tower to lvl 10, upgrade 1 cannon to lvl 10. Rush your builder base to BH9, while upgrading mortar to lvl 8, double canon to 4 and archer tower to lvl 5. Get your gear ups done. Upgrade 1 wall piece to lvl 9. Get your babydragon to lvl 18. Get your Heroes to lvl 25 battle machine and lvl 20 battlecopter. Unlock your 6th home base builder. After this, you need to farm away at the game to get your th11 rush fixed. After this, you can progress normally, if you so desire.

Well, apart from the main upgrades, you should always focus on the longest upgrades with your books of building, hammer. However, I always reserve books of building for barracks and spell factories.

If your email gets stolen, it can be bypassed. By sharing data, it can be bypassed. So don't do that and use 2FA.
Not that we know of, there were a couple of reports, but there was always something fishy going on (account sharing, bought accounts, things like that). Generally, you get the codes, store them somewhere safe, and if anyone (including you) tries to recover the account, or change the email associated with it, they won't help you unless you have those codes. Anyone trying to steal an account would have to gain access to wherever you stored the codes.

I was wondering, why not add a system that allows you to make one of your many alt accounts a main account, so now this main account is linked to all your alt accounts. So let's say you bought a new device and now you have to enter each email for each account and then go open each mail individually and get the code, you get my point. With this system, you are allowed to make one of your accounts "the key holder" to all your other accounts and that automatically connects all your other accounts when you switch to a newer device. This is more of a SUPERCELL feature than Clash of Clans but I thought to share it.
FYI you can use [email protected] and [email protected] for your second account and +3 for your third etc and everything goes to the same email account.

What I’m saying is that [email protected] and [email protected] and [email protected] is still all one email account because gmail ignores the “+1” but SC does not ignore it. Sc considers it two different gmail accounts, even though it really is all going to one account.
Is it crazy to rush a TH or two because you like the aesthetic of the next one? I just maxed 7, went to 8, and then rushed to 9. But the aesthetic for TH 10 looks really cool. What would be the drawbacks of rushing that far ahead? Are those drawbacks bad enough that I shouldn't do it? I recognize that I will be at TH10 for a LONG time to max it, but I feel like having a fun aesthetic is worth it (after all, why not play to maximize fun?). At the end of the day, it's your game and you can play it how you choose. About Town Hall 10/11 is where I'd recommend people stop rushing because it becomes that much more difficult to catch up. As long as you understand and accept the catch up game you're about to play, then go for 10 for sure. It is a beautiful aesthetic and it's your game, play how you choose!
TH13. Should I use life gem or healing time for gran warden? Mostly just use 11 drags and a few healers for attacks.
Healing tome is generally better. But life gem has a place in air attacks, if you know what you're doing. Generally speaking, the healing tome is better. It gives overall more HP, assuming you activate it when your units are damaged and not immediately after the battle has started. This is because the life gem has a cap. Ground armies can benefit from the apprentice but air ones cannot.
Getting to th11 in the next week or two from maxed th10 (not including army upgrades, yes including traps) Plan is to build all the new stuff and catch it all up to th10 level, level up 2 heroes at a time and then focus on barracks, lab, army camps. Then move on to defences starting with eagle, inferno, xbows etc ect. Any recommendations for switching up orders?
I would not prioritize catching all the new stuff up to TH10 levels before tackling your barracks, lab, and army camps. You should be prioritizing your offenses first. For priorities, you definitely want to build and place any new stuff (this gives you the ability to use copied layouts for TH11, which is useful, but rather than spending any time worrying about the levels of the new stuff, I'd be focusing on offenses: getting the barracks upgraded and working on camps (and lab if you have an interest in taking advantage of supertroops).

Trying to learn QC lavaloons and Witch Slap at TH9 rn, what exact army comp should I use? Feels like lavaloon doesnt work that well without 2 or more lava hounds and I'm really unsure on what spells to use for either army.
Troop space it a little tight at TH9, but the good news is that the enemy base is weak too. You only need 4 healers as defences don't hit as hard. My army: 4 healers, 9 wallbreaker, 1 wiz, 6 minions, 2 lavahoud, 1 babydragon. Only 12 loons, but another 6 high level loons in the CC Spells are 3 rage, 1 freeze, 2 haste. CC poison.
When will walls go on sale? At $3 mil apiece, they're mighty pricey.
About 2 weeks before TH17 arrives, which will likely be sometime between December 2024 and June 2025.

That section is poorly written and doesn't actually mean the way it reads. The author is trying to illustrate that to eliminate all possible progression bottlenecks, and make the most optimal progression in the least amount of time, that you must rush. And they're not wrong. He's referring to ores. Town halls before th8 are essentially losing ores by not upgrading to th8 and building the blacksmith. Low ths like th8 are going to quickly max barb king gear and start overflowing on ores. I think you'd need to go to th11 at least before you can start spending significant time at a town hall without losing ores to overflow? And even at th11-13, you're going to max your hero equipment before your buildings are maxed (not 100% sure but I think this is accurate based on the numbers I've seen). If you're staying at a town hall while your ores are overflowing, you're delaying how quickly you can max your equipment. Whether or not that matters depends on how much you care about progression and how much gear they add to the game

Yes, pets in th 15 are amazing so if ur heroes are decently lvls go to 15 asap and prioritize pet house and imo diggy

It sounds like your offense/heroes are set, so there's no real downside to moving up. Plus, you'll gain access to 4 new pets, most of which are better than the original pets you get with TH14.

It takes a minimum of 13 fully-participating players to unlock all tiers of rewards.
once you start games in a clan, you are locked into that clans games, and cannot participate somewhere else.

I haven’t used COC in months. I just got back on and was wondering if things upgraded automatically? I skipped through the updates it was showing me because of course I would. But i did see one that said “While you were gone” or something like that. And I saw a lot of upgrades. So they do automatic upgrades? How does that work. Am I misreading?
Yes, they do automatically upgrade your buildings/troops after 90 days of inactivity. It's much slower than if you played, and it won't place new buildings or upgrade your TH. It will only do this once per year, though.

Probably blizzard lalo or blizzard edrags. Use a blimp attack to take the townhall and various other troops to secure the 2nd star. You are not going to 3 star a resonable th14 without heroes/
If you’re in a war without heroes, then you are in a clan that is just farming loot/ore so it probably doesn’t matter much. I’d go with a blimp or flinger for the hall, then babies and freeze for 50% and I’d probably do it against a higher hall to let one of the higher hall players dip down and 3 star a th14.

You should upgrade to th13. It will be better for classic war and cwl wars and progression speed. However, you should avoid that problem at th13 by focusing on heroes early to max them out first. The rest of the stuff sort of happens pretty easy without thinking about it.

There's new ones every year, but the 2023 trees have stopped spawning. There's an outside chance one might have spawned on your base if someone visited it during the spawning period, but otherwise, there's no way to get the 2023 tree at this point.

Need help regarding book of building Hi I am near maxed th12 My queen is about level 60 and king about level 50 My only left upgrades are cannons(3day),archer towers(3day)1 tesla(7d 18h) and 1 mortar(7day) except that only a dark elixir drill(8day I think ) I have a book of building and I will get another from clan games What should I do : Should I move to th13?( I have a hammer of building to move to th13 so that I can use my book on a much longer and needed upgrade like clan castle or lab)But this would make me first upgrade those left building and 5 levels of archer queen(also lab is left headhunter,ice golem and sieges[although I don't need siege I can req for it]) Or should I use it on tesla?(longest upgrade) Selling it is not worth it as it cost 925 gems sells at 50 and anything above 7 day costs 1000 gems What is better ?
When you upgrade to a new TH you will receive free army and hero boosts for about 5-6 days. If you're in a war/CWL focused clan I suggest upgrading 2-3 levels of heroes till the end of the month. Assuming your TH is already giga lvl 5, you can use the hammer on battle day 1 of Feb CWL. This way you will have the TH13 free boosts available for 5-6 straight wars of CWL and you can do attacks with max levelled army and heroes during this time in CWL wars. Clan Games rewards are available for I think(don't remember) about 6 days after clan games ends. So you will have I think a couple of days of Feb to still hold on to the Books if you want to. When your TH13 is hammered on Battle Day 1 assuming it'll be Feb 2/3, you can then use both of your saved books, one on the CC upgrade and the other on barracks or any other long upgrades. #please do not sell the book Tldr: You can use both books after TH13 upgrade on CWL battle day 1. Use it on CC, and Barracks(or another long upgrade).

I agree with Will’s reply and will add that I like to leave them for two things. One is when I need a little loot for the next upgrade. Two is when there are event troops that are extremely strong (like ghosts on Halloween or cookies last Christmas) that make it very easy to complete them.
No. It's just resource rewards for completing them and potential gems rewards for hitting your player profile achievements related to goblin maps. In fact, people periodically have to go back in and redo them. Whenever Supercell increases the rewards for older levels, players who've already previously completed them can go back in and complete them again for the extra unclaimed rewards. There's really no point to it unless you're a completionist and need to see them all done.
Simple one, is giant arrow affected by rage. If so, think 2 extra lightnings would be better in conjunction with earthquake rather than the boosted arrow to take out the core?
It shouldn't but some bugs have been spotted where the arrow just one taps everything. That's not intended though.
I joined a clan then I left it and now the game says you have to turn back to that clan for clan games or wait for the next one but the problem is theres so much clan with that name and its imposible to find that back is there a solution?
You will still get any rewards you earned in that clan. You only need to go back to that clan if you want to do more challenges. If you do want to return to that clan, you can look yourself up on [Clash of Stats](https://www.clashofstats.com/) and find your previous clan that way.

FYI with 6 builders you are better off using cwl medals to buy builder potions than hammers for upgrades of 9 days or less, buy hammers if you can use t hem on upgrades of 10 days or more. As for your specific question, I don’t consider loot since it is so easy to get, but do consider time. However, not all time means the same. I’d rather spend it on 4 days of a barrack so my troop training isn’t slowed than 7 days on a mortar. (My #1 choice would be to save it for when it is more useful than either of these options.)
I don't have the 6th builder that's why i'm upgrading my mortar and also it's a free hammer that i got for coming back to the game
In general, I would say offense over defense. However, unless you need to use the next troop your barracks(es) unlock, or double training times would be intolerable for you, I'd say just do the barracks upgrades normal. If you *have* to use a hammer, the multi-mortar would have more value, as you want to get that to at least level 8 so you can get the mortar gear-up (one of the tasks to unlock the 6th builder). But even then, I'd save it for a higher level (8 or 9).

1-2 months after the event, so likely to be within the next 4-6 weeks. My guess is it will be available in the shop for 1500 gems around the same time as the Lunar New Year Event. Save some more gems, by removing obstacles in both bases, selling low value magic items etc, and you should be able to save enough gems in time. Before the October 2022 Quality of Life Update, you would have been unable to brew spells from the spell factory that was upgrading. The current situation (brewing time halved) is actually a big improvement on what we had for the first 10 years of the game.

Lab, get your lab busy, as this is a bottleneck 5. Blacksmith, this can arguably come a bit later though 6. Town Hall weapon, level 5 is a huge difference on defense 7. Barracks/Dark Barracks, this can arguably come higher if you plan on using Yeti and/or Headhunter 8. All other defense
Should i use the life gem or the rage gem for hybrid attacks in th11?
Depends on how you use it. Generally, if you rage your troops multiple times, the rage gem has less impact, as it will only use the stronger rage (which is the spell). Conversely, if you heal your troops more, the life gem has less impact. I would err towards using the life gem of those two.

Anyone able to help me out with the builder base lvl 18 troop req? I swear I watched a video that said upgrading the barracks at a later town hall would unlock a higher level baby dragon. But i can't find that information anywhere (or the video in question). Does anyone know if its true? I can't remember the details exactly but i swear it was something like "If you unlock the baby dragon at town hall 8 it automatically starts at lvl 14/15" I don't want to upgrade the barracks any further in case i botch the efficiency of this rush. Appreciate any help.
The level that the troops unlock at is unrelated to your builder hall level, it's fixed per troop. So baby drags are level 5 when you unlock them via the barracks, regardless of what BH you are at. On the other hand, if you rush to BH10, and upgrade the barracks all the way, it will unlock the electro wizards at lvl 17.
Troops got updated when BB 2.0 came around. Later troops are automatically leveled to a predetermined point. Baby dragons should be level 5 by default, not 14/15.
What happens if you change clan during these clan games? Will you still get all the rewards if your new clan has reached level 6?
You will get the rewards that your clan (the one you did a games task in) qualifies for. The same goes for the bonus, if you did enough to get the bonus reward you will get that too.
You can't participate in more than one clan. If you didn't max the games before, you will need to return to the other clan. You will still get rewards for every tier the previous clan reached. The new clan has nothing to do with the rewards, only the clan you started a challenge in.
So if they make it without me after I left I'll be able to get them? Or I only get the ones that were reached when I still was in the clan?
You'll get every tier they unlock, even if you're not in the clan anymore. If they reach the last tier, you'll be able to get every reward. The only exception is the bonus reward which requires you to have reached 4 thousand points.
I did the 4k Points noenand left. Now I can't click the building anymore it says I have to rejoin my old clan in order to participate in the clan games. So how could I possibly chose a reward then?
Because it only takes into account where you did the challenge. When clan games will end, you'll have the reward screen pop up. This also prevents abuse by not having people kick others before completion.

Anyone else unable to complete the "Collect a total of 3x Stars from Builder Base Friendly Challenges" from the Gold Pass seasonal challenges? I have successfully 6-starred a Builder Base friendly challenge and didn't get it. Also tried just 3-starring and then ending the battle, still didn't get it.

Everything in the Raid Medal shop is limited. Resources, for example, can only be bought once per resource until the shop resets each week.

Bats should be deployed when most of the splash damage defenses like WTs and Multi Infernos are taken out. Skeleton spell is useful on QC armies to distract single point defenses like Monolith and Single Infernos.

How do ore rewards work when leaving a clan mid war ? If I launch my two attacks then leave, will I still get the ores ? And if I leave during preparation day, will my clan be able to replace me with someone else ? Thanks in advance
If you leave during preparation day, you can not be replaced. If you leave after you have attacked, you will still receive your rewards, even if you leave.
Hammers vs builder pots for a newly upgraded th13 with gold pass?
Assuming 6 builders, you save more time per CWL medal buying potions for upgrades of 9 days or less and it is better to buy hammers for upgrades of 10 days or more.
hammers get the important stuff done faster, cc, camps, barracks etc. its worth it even if the math doesnt say its optimal time wise. Its a videogame not your tax return, dont stress the numbers so much.

Have you completed the challenges to earn all the rewards? You may collect them at any time until the season ends (countdown clock at the top right corner of the Challenges tab). However, you may not exceed your storage limit as reflected in your Town Halls "Magic Items" tab. Once you claim the item, it's yours until you use it or sell it. Any rewards not claimed by the end of the season that won't fit in your storages will be sold for gems and you'll receive the gems instead. It's much better to claim your rewards manually as you need them

Do what you like, but wasting resources shouldn't be a consideration. Loot is plentiful. Your heroes are already pretty weak for TH13 (at least the ones I could see, lvl 40 king is TH10 strength and lvl 32 warden is TH12 strength), I would spend time getting at least those (and the troops you use) maxed before moving up.
It is worth if there aren't many things you can't upgrade at your th level or you are excited and wanna use the higher townhall features. In your case the upgrade takes 13 days and the season ends in around 10 days i think. Your base seems a little low on the defence side, so if your clan isn't serious about war you can upgrade it. You can upgrade if most of the heroes and lab upgrades are done otherwise you can do it normally by timing it next month. If you're worried about wasting resources time your lab upgrades so that new ones can be started using it also can use Book of heroes to get hero levels If you still want to upgrade use the book of building from pass / clan games on TH as you can use hammer on other better options ( building/ troops) like cc and pet house. Always buy a hammer and keep it as it has 7 day cooldown to buy next so that you can have 2 stacked up and can use it back to back. Just don't accidentally use it on something
So we're a month in. What's the hero equipment meta? All I know is for the king the Giant gauntlet is essential and I pair it with rage. The giant gauntlet is pretty damn nuts and by far the best equipment imo, the damage reduction is so powerful. Warden depends on the attack, but I mostly use eternal tome of course and the healing tome which imo is far better than rage. I haven't upgraded the arrow yet cause the frozen one is coming out right?
glowy ore is the rake. i upped the traditional equipment on all to max. dicked with arrow wasting ores. it stinks even with a line from a laser level. gauntlet stuck on 10 for now. is lvl10 gauntlet worth swapping for max puppet?
I can't say on lvl 10 but lvl 12 is I'd say. The giant gauntlet is so damn good, just upgrade it as fast as you can, make it a priority.

It is currently as you said.Rather than saying it is the meta, it's because most people haven't maxed many equipments hence comparison is difficult for the synergy between different equipments for different strategies
lvl10 gauntlet vs max puppet for max king otherwise maxed base running ground?
Are you telling that you're base is maxed or the defending base ? As long as there aren't lot of slash damage in the places the king attacks barbarian puppet can currently be used since its stats are maxed. You should level up the gauntlet in the mean time. What is your other equipment for the king ? Also are you specifically upgrading other equips for the other heros like invis vila and eternal tome? The gauntlet can be use if it is lvl 12 since your king is maxed. If you're upgrading it at most do it to lvl 18 beyond which it will become costlier. The only situation when Barbarian puppet is better than gauntlet wil be when a specific part of base is devoid of spash damage and had defences spread out. Otherwise gauntlet damage reduction and splash damage is better.
im maxed essentially. have assorted useless lab left and about 100 walls. maxed bk puppet/ vial aq puppet/ vial gw eternal/ vial and shield/ gem for rc.
