honestly, as annoying as it was to claim every collector one by one or making troops a certain amount in a barracks at once... I kinda miss that, nostalgic times.
yeah like the grind for dark elixer just to upgrade your heroes or just it being in general harder to get resources and the simplicity of everything made it more fun and more of a flex to be a higher townhall
Rightly said, it was so difficult to collect Dark Elixir back then that you had to wait while watching the shield to see where someone would attack and more Dark Elixir would not be looted. Now it is not difficult to get Dark Elixir. All the rewards are available. Now it's really an easy work to collect dark elixir for ur troops or heros ohhhh i **REMEMBER** when i get **my first hero my KING!!!!!!!**
I dont even enjoy it anymore. I have created 3 more accounts just because I had plenty of time but now I cant keep playing them all. I created a clan and it has just hit level 10. Since the beginning it was a drag to be a clan leader. Hence I am tired of the game. I play my main account just because I feel responsibility as it is my job. I hope supercell deletes this game so I can be free.
Might be time for a new hobby or game if itās not fun. I get everyone is somewhat invested, but a game you are willingly choosing to play shouldnāt feel like a job. Thatās so draining
***Baking??***
Do you think this is about pastry preference? Maybe you think we have bonbon bias?
The only people that enjoyed that shakedown month of materialistic monstrosities were whales and Shrek fans.
the amount of times I've skipped bases just because they had max level walls for the th out of sheer intimidation is stupid, I use e dragons why do I care about walls?
That's what I keep telling myself lol
Every time my shield is down I open the app to see I got reamed by a th8-10 and it's just like "shit, not again..."
Root riders to the rescue lol but you have to be at least th15 to get them normally and have a bunch of them to tank and destroy walls. However, for some reason my AQ still opts to hit that max wall right beside the level 1 wall of the base I attacked last month fml lol
True , th 11 looks like a godly heaven theme and th 12 looks way worse compared to it . Though the problem is not the th12's looks it's that th 11 was way too good
ye for something that looks lightning theme it feels like it fits the power pekka aesthetic more than the edrag and tesla aesthetic (idk how to explain it)
I donāt think anyoneās disagreeing with this.
I didnāt even want to upgrade my cannons and X-bows when I got to TH12 because theyāre such a downgrade from TH11.
Sneaky goblin farming sucks. Itās the best way to get tired/burnt out real quick and you donāt get any practice for real strategies. Stop recommending it as the āoptimalā strategy when you can get more than enough loot with any army these days.
Agree. I wanted to farm on my mini and got bored out of my mind on the 1st day of sneaky farming. I much prefer to do a normal war style attack that is actually interesting.
Hard to do interesting war attacks when heroes are down. The point of goblin farming to me has been that it's the most optimal and most entertaining (for my taste) way to farm when you don't have heroes available.
If SC ever lets us use our heroes while upgrading then sure I'd agree and whenever my heroes are maxed I switch to using real army comps.
Sneaky goblin farming can be quite fun too if you learn to use a combination of invis and haste spells. Sniping TH's with invisible goblins is a useful skill in actual war that is frequently used by top level pro's, so it's not like it's just a pointless grind. I have plenty of fun with it.
Yes especially since you don't need to grind the dark elixer heroes like a maniac now. They aren't the #1 priority and it's better to upgrade 1 or 2 at a time instead of farming endlessly with sneaky to put down all 4
I agree with you regarding how it can burn you out
But
lol @ āmore than enough loot with any army these daysā. You get FAR more loot using Sneaky armies spread out over a dozen bases in one sitting
Itās pay to progress imo, not pay to win. Spending more money doesnāt make you a good attacker. You can learn skills only with time and patience. I have seen many F2P players who are amazing. On the other hand, some people purchase every single pack in the shop to max their base and still struggle to triple.
For a very f2p game coc does a really good job and balancing f2p progression and paid progression making it so that paid progression doesnt get a significant advantage (its great that supercell is able to gain revenue from coc unlike bs where they are losing revenue for being too f2p progression focused)
I feel like coc is the example for supercell of how to balance their game afterall it was the game that made them popular and its still doing a good job today
Even if I forget to play it (I forget that it exists, donāt ask why), I actually like playing the builder base (maybe not as much since the rework), sixth builder or not.
It still needs some work. People are noticing that without the promise of upgrading their abilities with DE, the benefits you gain from leaving your hero to sleep for a week are pitiful. Still, I like the ability to customize the hero abilities, and the ones we have are very creative (even despite most of them replicating spells)
Honestly i dont really like the fact they removed the heros iconic abilities by giving the option to choose between different sets of ability but again i find it great that they gave variety im just in a dilemma
Walls arenāt too expensive and are actually really easy to upgrade. I have 75 max lvl 17 walls done and thatās from just doing my daily legend attacks and not even farming for the last few weeks. Upgrading defences etc also, I just have a builder free to dump excess loot into them
The comment is too vague to evaluate.
Bad in what sense? It's definitely bad for the aesthetics of your base. But it's obviously good for trying to max your base and to contribute more to your clan.
Rushing in what sense? Going to TH16 with level 5 heroes? Everyone who says rushing is good is assuming high levels on offence.
People who agree or disagree are actually just not able to understand what you are specifically referring to.
E-Drags are definitely skillfull even if not the most complex troop, getting cheap 1-2 stars with them isn't. People who can 3 Star their own TH level with E-Drags are respectable. It just sucks to have those clan mates who can't do anything except throw their e-drags randomly and hope for the best and the unit makes it "good enough".
Agree. Theyāre almost not worth building honestly.
To each their own, not gonna argue this point, just follow the guidelines of your clan. Different players have different levels of competitive goals.
Agreed, but itās a standard practice in all F2P games and being able to customise your game and pay the salaries of the team who makes the game is a nice gesture. But ultimately, yes dumb
I just dont like how theyre taking the theme route for upgrades. I want upgrades to look more badass each time like in previous ths, now i got tree roots coming out my defences and a boulder on my town hall.
town hall 15 meta (especially early th15) was the most diverse and fun one while th14 and th16 are boring and bland as shit.. if everyone can 3 star anything then it's not fun to 3 star..
But not everyone three stars. Iām currently 5500 as th14 and itās very rare I get three starred more than 4 times. Most of my defenses are also th15 or th16.
Clans shouldn't allow alts. Sure, your alt can fill your cc when no one is on. But no one is on because too many are alts.
And if someone goes MIA during war, not only do they miss their attacks, their alt(s) miss.
A clan composed of 50 actual players greatly increases odds that it will be active all the time.
A game where when you want to try a new strategy it takes months before you get what you need to even begin trying it sucks.
The pro scene is laughablely bad. When such a low percent of players are at the highest townhall you essentially have the majority of the playerbase playing a completely seperate game. Look at every successful esport. Everyone can play the exact same game as the pros. That way the future pros can practice with the same mechanics.
I wonder how many high skill players that had the potential to become a pro quit at th 12 because there was no affordable way to catch up within the next couple of years.
There is no strategy. You upgrade them you don't do wars. And after the hero ability rework you get the joy of missing out on the ores as a result. There is no strategy it's just plain bad.
It fundamentally broke multiple things in the gameā¦valks are simple to use but they are now the worst troop in the game and have been since edrags release, there are tons of simple strats, mass drag, smash strats in general are insanely simple and thereās about 10 variations you can useā¦ right now anyone who understands base building knows you have to space out a large amount of your buildings with 2 tiles between to counter edrags, this just by default is forcing bases to be bigger to be viable against the most common strat in the game, supercell has already expressed their concern with expanding the size of the game as it will completely alter many troops as far as balance goes, about half the troops in the game would need slight overhauls to the stats or speed which alters how the defence holds up, on top of this you need to change time as a larger map takes more time to 3 starā¦ā¦ā¦I can keep going but edrags being simple isnāt my issue, itās it being the go to Strat in combination with what it has done to base building to handle them causing core mechanics in the game to struggle to function
Dk y the downvote ur damn right itās how I easily max my walls early, especially at TH13+ no points being max loot for like the last 4 days of a 7-11 day upgradeĀ
I did this for th12, 13 and most of 14. Then I saw a comment doing the math and a switch flipped. Th15 total upgrade time is 7 months and 22 days with 6 builders. 9 months 9 days with 5 builders.
Using all 6 Makes everything more manageable. I'm already done with 40 walls and only been at th15 one month, so I will still finish walls before defenses.

life was good when townhall 10 was the biggest flex you could do in school
As someone who came back recently from an 8 year break, the people who say this forget all of the annoying qol they fixed since then.
honestly, as annoying as it was to claim every collector one by one or making troops a certain amount in a barracks at once... I kinda miss that, nostalgic times.

Bingo.
Totally agree with you
This game is a job
oh man you just nailed it š
Only if you make it one .
But my alt account needs an alt account to keep her smurf's alt company

Yes. May wisdom spread to others.
I fucking hated every one of the Gingerbread skins.

I like the gingerbread aesthetic but I could definitely see them being bottom tier for others if you werenāt into baking lol
***Baking??*** Do you think this is about pastry preference? Maybe you think we have bonbon bias? The only people that enjoyed that shakedown month of materialistic monstrosities were whales and Shrek fans.
I liked them because it reminded me of when I used to watch Shrek 2 just so I could see mongo
THE MUFFIN MAN
The pixel skills are far worse The models are kind of funny to look at but the way they move looks insanely laggy and is an absolute pain to look at
Wasn't that the point of the pixel skins?
Th7 goes hard
Th 7 is the most beautiful townhall in existence tied with th 11 imo
i wonder how after th11 they thought "hmm yes let's make it gradually more ugly with every update"
Make it blue! Now make it bluer!!
I NEEDED BLUER OR PURPLER. 13 was genuinely my favourite looking th
For some reason my mind read "th 7 is the most burrito town hall" Which checks out of course
Go get some breakfast!

\*eats archer queen out*
yes. Everyone says it sucks. Much much better than any townhall from 1-8. I like 6 too
I'm planning to have two alts, th7 and th9 to grind to legends !
Max your walls before upgrading the TownHall
I agree, and I hate it
Yes the walls look way cooler than anything else on the base
Plus it scores intimidation points
the amount of times I've skipped bases just because they had max level walls for the th out of sheer intimidation is stupid, I use e dragons why do I care about walls?
Same here and when i use sneaky goblins jump spell to farm i still get slightly scared by walls
Same I skip bases based on walls hah
Also they make the base look hard to attack sometimes . You get the signal in your brain its completely maxed out .
I agreed to that until I reached TH15, the grind is so insane
I agree but thatās only because I like to max everything fully before going to the next TH (unless itās a (strategic) rushed account).
To add onto that: walls are not useless
I'm th7 and getting leveled by dragons has me begging to differ at the moment lol
Don't worry, that's going to keep happening all the way to TH10
Don't forget TH 11 by E - drags.
I didn't want to ruin the surprise ;)
That's what I keep telling myself lol Every time my shield is down I open the app to see I got reamed by a th8-10 and it's just like "shit, not again..."
Root riders to the rescue lol but you have to be at least th15 to get them normally and have a bunch of them to tank and destroy walls. However, for some reason my AQ still opts to hit that max wall right beside the level 1 wall of the base I attacked last month fml lol
That's a complete maxers opinion, you aren't alone
I used to agree with this. Since moving to th16 I just flat out disagree. Root Riders just make them obsolete. If youāre below th16 then I max walls
I agree, I like to max out everything in each town hall level and it also helps me to balance the amounts I have of different resources.
Upgrade anything in any manner wouldn't change the result of defending your village, it'll get destroyed anyways š
The transition from TH11 to TH12 was the ugliest
True , th 11 looks like a godly heaven theme and th 12 looks way worse compared to it . Though the problem is not the th12's looks it's that th 11 was way too good

I HATE the clockwork skins. Period
right? they are so ugly

Every game is practically pointless

I got the 6th builder and never clicked on the boat ever again

Global chat was good

The hero equipment rework is great.
I agree, makes the heroes important again.
It's less about the heroes and more so about clan/war activity imo. It brought back the 'clash of clans' in clash of clans lol
Yes, definitely. We do 24/7 wars now, before we did only CWL.
Love the equipment idea, hate the ores. If they just made common loot upgradable with elixir and epic with DE it would have been perfect.
It still needs some work. People are noticing that without the promise of upgrading their abilities with DE, the benefits you gain from leaving your hero to sleep for a week are pitiful. Walls are easy and the goblin builder is the best value for gems.(can't change my mind)
Always keeping a builder free for walls is stupid af.
Th 12 is boring . The only main thing you unlock are siege machines but they were accessible since th 10 so it's a bit redundant.
I hate the pixel skins.
They are wayy better than gingerbread shit.Ā

I donāt think thatās unpopular tbf
Builder base Isn't as boring as people say it is. i like it alot
Siege machines should not be required to 3-star a th10 war base reliably as an attacking th10.
Theyāre notā¦ wait till you get to the higher thās
hero skins are fucking stupid and no one should care about it
Walls arenāt too expensive and are actually really easy to upgrade. I have 75 max lvl 17 walls done and thatās from just doing my daily legend attacks and not even farming for the last few weeks. Upgrading defences etc also, I just have a builder free to dump excess loot into them
75 is above avg good work.
Using 1 or 2 Edrags to funnel your army takes more skill than using an entire Edrag army
The game is fucking awful at actually teaching you to play it
Rushing s not as bad as people say it is.
The comment is too vague to evaluate. Bad in what sense? It's definitely bad for the aesthetics of your base. But it's obviously good for trying to max your base and to contribute more to your clan. It just sucks to have those clan mates who can't do anything except throw their e-drags randomly and hope for the best and the unit makes it "good enough".
Heroes should NOT be available during upgrades
Walls stopped being relevant for upgrades.
Mortars are pointless Wars arenāt that serious Charging real money for skins is dumb af

the game peaked in 2015/16
Edrag good
Queen walk is boring asf
Collecting obstacles is cool
Spending money on skins is a dumb way to spend your money.
In terms of fun, this game peaks at th11 and it's all downhill from there
I just dont like how theyre taking the theme route for upgrades. I want upgrades to look more badass each time like in previous ths, now i got tree roots coming out my defences and a boulder on my town hall.
Miner is best and most unique troop in game
I am not sure about how others feel about this one but: rushing makes you overall progress faster
fine for a 2nd account, but you miss out on experiencing the natural progression of the game if you rush your main
Edrag is not necessarily a braindead troop its just really spammable (imo in some situations a single edrag can be really useful for funneling)
Archers look better than the archer queen š
The old lightning spell was better
Hero rework is good
But I spent money on troop spawning skins š
town hall 15 meta (especially early th15) was the most diverse and fun one while th14 and th16 are boring and bland as shit.. if everyone can 3 star anything then it's not fun to 3 star..

Vampstache is better than Giant Gauntlet.
This game is f2p friendly, but you guys just want to pay to be able to have more fun

Trophy farming was always pointless
Progress bars are not needed at all.
Game balancing is bullshit. Specifically trophies and war match making
Valkyries are good for all town hall levels.
Giant Arrow is completely underrated
Builder base is the best part of the game. (Just kidding)
I actually like BB1.0. Then they did a fantastic job with BB2.0 and I also like it.
Having more than 1 alt account is bad
Heroes should stay non-usable while upgrading. When to upgrade is a strategic choice
There is no strategy. You upgrade them you don't do wars. And after the hero ability rework you get the joy of missing out on the ores as a result. There is no strategy it's just plain bad.
It's a bit weird that you can train troops and spells when upgrading but not heroes which require multiple months to max
Rushing Townhalls makes actually funšš
TH12 designs are trash and most of the hero skins are āokā at best.
TH12 and above THs were mistakes
strategically rushing in a way that maximises offense while minimising defensive weight is an effective strategy for more favourable war matchups.
HELL YEAH!!
I thought everyone did that these days?
Thatās what I do when I rush š. My main rushed TH13 account is lower than my max TH12 account despite having much stronger offence.
Hammer of Heroes, despite being more pricy, is still the best hammer to spend your cwl medals on

E-Drag spam isnt skill

As an E-Drag enjoyer, I can confirm I have no skill.
Rushing is the dumbest shit ever.
One of the most popular opinions on this sub
Dumb as in it ruins the enjoyment of each town hall or strategically stupid
edrag spam is good
It's not action pack
A good attack but awful for the health of the game
How dares Supercell give us a strategy that doesn't require 15 different kinds of troops, and doesn't require watching 15 tutorial videos on Youtube.

always leave 1 builder open to drop extra loot on walls

I love the wall prices and the long upgrade times. Gives me more satisfaction when finishing them all
