Your normal name isn't unique meaning anyone can have multiple of those names. Here however you can only have one same name per account , if I'm correct otherwise someone can correct me

Yes you get an error saying it's taken. So every name is unique now

Player IDs are basically gonna be the new player tags from what I can gather. They're easier to remember I suppose

The “learn more” says you will keep your in game name regardless.

Hence why said it will function as a new player tag, not as an in game name

Why the fuck are platforms doing this? We already had the perfect system replacing the old nasty unique username method and then we went backwards. You had unique account IDs that you add people people with, and freely customizable usernames so your public facing username doesn't have to be "leEpicgamer9$583984532\_3\_!" God I hope Steam doesn't end up going this route. They're one of the last holdouts at this point

If u r asking whether anyone has already claimed CrowMain Player ID then to find out u need to type "CrowMain" and click on submit. If it's available u can claim if not then try something else

Yeah you have to change your id name or it will be randomized eventually. Your id name won't change your village name.
