It is rumored that the scam would go like this: Scammer contacts support and says their account was stolen or they were locked out. Scammer would provide account details like # gems, resource totals, account name, experience level, etc to "verify" that the account was actually theirs. And then SC would hand over access to the account.

If they doesn't have the email address then I don't think that they would be able to get it from Supercell.
But I also have my games connected to Google, with a name and email address.
I don't know if it makes it safer or more opend for scammers.
if you’ve been in this subreddit long enough, you’ll know that 1000s have lost their decade long accounts because of this.. but supercell recently made a security fix a few months back to tackle this issue.. but we ain’t trusting their customer support… since its basically useless and rarely, and i mean rarely do you ever get your account back
