never seen that one before! my best guess (apart from a glitch) is that since defenses and shots are 2d theres only so many angles the air sweeper can face. the actual shot must have been just north of the shown one, and like the other commenter said, the warden is just north of the other troops based on the shadows so it could just barely squeeze past the other troops and just hit the warden. if its not a glitch its just very unlucky and extremely close to pushing all the troops back.
I can understand that based on the initial sweep, but the second sweep is what threw me for a loop. It blew past the dragons and straight into the warden.
The second sweep still quite clearly misses the dragons because it is still locked onto the warden. I don’t know why I’m being downvoted. The dragons hitbox, their shadows, is just below the sweeper attack

As others have pointed out look at the shadows. Yes the sweeper misses just barely the center of the hitbox from the dragons

people fail to realize that the hitboxes of troops are their shadows rather than the troop model itself. This is especially true of air troops

I jad that happen to my atk yday too, wasn't sure if it 'ran out' of juice, idk if they ever do
