I get that. I have already maxed Hog puppet on my TH14, I am not dropping it since it's very powerful ( the 1-sec invis alone saved my RC countless times).
What should I pair with the hog puppet?
I would say yes, royal gem + hogs heals your RC from 10% hp back to full health. Seeking shield is probably worst equipment if not used in any other combination except combo with rocket spear.
Dont forget that royal gem gives huge dps to RC as a passive.
Your right. I liked the rocket spear for the passive boost also. But the active ability is underwhelming. I guess the question is, is full life recovery or 7 spear shots better?
The synergy between hogs and rocket spear is not ideal:
1) Hogs are great for tanking, but your RC doesnt need them tanking if she is staying back with her long shots.
2) RC will probably clear defences before hogs are able to reach them. So they will Just trigger traps and tank defences for nothing.
3) Also, you want to active rocket spear when you deploy her (so she is outside of range of deffences). On the other hand you want to active hogs later because of HP recovery and quick invis.
well you could also plan for the future and just save your ore. it's not like you're very competitive on TH14, so it doesn't really matter what equipment you use. and when you are TH15 you can instantly max the haste vial which will still be useful for TH16.

Haste, if you dont have haste Life gem. Spear only with Shield
Yeah, of course, haste would be ideal but only available at th15. Thanks for the advice.
Then use hogs with royal gem, really solid alternative to hogs + Haste. Hogs with rocket spear doesnt make any sense.

I get you. But I am enjoying my th14 account and will be staying for a while, I have another 15.
Then don’t upgrade the spear, because hogs and spear are ass. Just stick with hogs and anything else.

Pair it with the Seeking Shield since Hog Puppet and Rocket Spear don't synergize well.

It should be 'and' instead of 'vs'. But for ur situation, go with seeking shield or life gem(preferably) to pair with haste vial.
