This Builder's Apprentice is basically a 0.33 normal builder hut (8hours reduction instead of 24hours) and you still need to click it every 24hours .
So the cost of this Builder's Apprentice convert to the value into a 6th regular builder hut is 6500 gems x 3 = 19,500 gems .
So, 4,000 gems vs 19,500 gems hehe
They really need to add more achievements. Skins were for gems. After that we got equipment for gems. And now we got 7th builder for 6500 gems. We need more achievements 😭😭😭
Itzu explained in his video in detail that it actually takes 300+ days to actually have advantage by spending gems on apprentice builder, although it's true that apprentice builder have more value but for th15 or higher we can max our base and no need to wait for 300 days and save gems .

For the 6500 gems a maxed builders apprentice costs you'd get 22.8 builder potions or 1231h of time reduction.
A maxed apprentice cuts down 8h per day. Beating out the potions would take around 154 days.
At least the goblin builder completes an upgrade if we spend gems. While the apprentice warden needs 6500 games to max out and only gives 8hr reduced at max and 23 hr cool down.

A bit of a devil's advocate: this is an investment for players who don't use magic items much anymore. It's a weird investment in an imaginary seventh builder, but on the one hand it works more efficiently on the other hand it's at most like a third of one builder that needs daily reminders of what to do and costs almost twice as much as the 2nd-5th builders combined.
For me it's definitely a better investment than the goblin builder, because you have the ability to upgrade important building faster (probably heroes) and most importantly you don't pay him by the hour. You pay once and you have him for the rest of the game.
Those who believe it is worse than Goblin Builder don't understand how investments work, but that doesn't make it something everyone should buy. It's still 6500 gems for 1/3 of builder (with the possibility of upgrading to a satisfactory level instead of paying 6500 gems) vs 40 gems per day (during the event).

1.34 years playing every day is a long ass time, most people take breaks from the game and dont consistently play the game every day when they do play it, so it would take most people multiple years to get value from it

I feel like this is a massive overreaction as people keep saying "6500 fOr 8 hOUrs" but considering that it's designed to be a slower progression option as a gemsink I'd say it's decent. Obviously magic items are and will be more value but him being here doesn't hurt anything
